If you make the car a 6 speed or something like that instead of a 10 speed youre going to have longer gears which potentially means less wheelspin, but your drag times will be faster Also your car was scraping sometimes which is another cause for the very loose rear end
Yeah least gears would’ve been better, least wheelspin, more throttle control, lower weight so more top speed… but whatever, the goal was horsepower xd
I don't think there is anything wrong with nitro :) it is just a REALLY bad idea to pour pure nitromethane into any engine that is supposed to last longer than 5 seconds without requiring a full rebuild. When used in tuner engines, I doubt they go beyond 10% nitro. The calculations are pretty accurate, only thing that is weirding you out is getting those messed up torque curves. xD They just mean you killed the engine and are not good at explaining what went wrong. Cheers! :D
I mean the nitro methane drag cars pull the head and let it vent after every run and start on gasoline. Pure Nitromethane is great for power but it's a nightmare to tune for and drive.
I wonder if making the car insanely heavy would help with controllability and traction. It seems counterintuitive, but it would provide much more traction for the wheels. Locomotives are actually designed like this. They'll be built with a bunch of "dead weight"so that they can better apply force to the rails
One strategy i've found to avoid that spiky power curve is to start with a very very low boost limit on the Turbos then slowly work my way up, as that's what happens when they fail (usually due to temperature, which Nitromethane amplifies even more.) One more thing as well, you are able to give thw car custom gearing through BeamNG via the vehicle config, so that would likely help a ton
Great Car! To get an accurate Speed reading you should put in the Airspeed-Gauge since the normal Speedo goes nuts after crossing a certain speed threshold
@@automotiveflux I am sorry for inconvenience, did notice you using it after rewatching. Anyways, interested in testing out my last creation? I'm not the biggest video-making-guy I've got a 6-Piston, 7 litre Twin-Turbo Boxer Convertible waiting for ya (its hideous though)
1:46. How do you get the Sandbox additional quality Sandbox settings? I'm talking about the Sandbox Tech Pool. I can't seem to know where to get it. Help.
The lower revving engine might be more drivable for the same reason motorcycles switched to uneven firing orders in racing. Because the firing happens unevenly, the tire has more time between some of the power pulses to rebound and maintain grip just a /little/ longer. Likewise, a lower revving engine means that there are more gaps in power delivery that may allow grip to hold longer. I don't know if beam actually models this particular effect, but considering high revving engines lag it when they rev high on my machine, I like to think maybe it is trying to simulate it.
The variable valve timing doesn't do much here, it just makes the engine less peaky and better to use on low RPM. You could slap just one big cams and call it a day, but it would less practical, because then the engine would be too peaky.
my best car is a topfuel dragster with a quad turbo V16 of 20 000hp :) (but i slightly modified the quality setting of the engine (putting it from 15 to 30 i think or something like that, to be able to handle the torque and have the power of a topfuel dragster ^^) (actuellement, a topfuel dragster have more 10 000hp, but they are usually V8 not V16, so... double the cylinder, double the power xD) it can go to more than 1000kmh and can to wheeling i can even give the car to test it if you want :)
@@Toyota--Camry you need to mess with the files of your car in a folder of automation. sorry but i dont remember exactly what i did, a guy helped me do that some times ago and i dont remember anything except that you need to modify some file of your car in an automation folder
With the ideal transmission in BeamNG this body can reach over 1100kmh/685mph. Note: Beam Damp & Strength 400% or Wheels will shatter. Btw. Look at dem rims widening, after you reach 500mph and go further
Thank you for sharing, I find fast nonsense cars are entertaining. I'm messing with high powered cars in Automation. I found that (advanced) automatic transmissions fail to work properly in Beamng if you get above ~2000HP. It downshifts and then revs to far far beyond the limiter even if you're not applying throttle. The early super high torque with a turbo Nitromethane engine makes it worse.
For any vehicle above 1500 horsepower, I recommend using manual shifting. With the low revving one, you'd be able to go from first to 6th to 10th and make use of all the torque. With the high revving one, I wouldn't even bother with gears 1-9 lmao
the problem early on is with the compression PLUS boost. only top fuel nitromethane cars use that, but in one of those races, the engine literally turns LESS THAN 1000 TOTAL ROTATIONS from green light to traps. drop compression down in order to tune better since the game maxes out the bottom end strength way lower than what is actually out there. also, high boost engines are often running like 22 degrees of RETARDED timing, NOT ADVANCED like so many people think you should do.
it pains me so much that you always max out the number of gears. For drag racing, you want fewer, longer gears so that you spend less of your precious seconds changing gears.
The big issue, I think, is the gearbox. Too many gears, which causes too much wheelspin. I think the car might be more controllable with 7 or 8 gears instead of 10.
How can we download this car that u have made in beamng please say someone i recently got beamng and IV been watching this guy for awhile now how can i download this in my game?

Nitro methane is weird. Ive heard drag cars don't run right at all if they dont get enough load. Thats what the nuts wings are for. The stuff is volatile..
I guess I didn't do too bad then building my 1500hp hypercar for a FB challenge, i gave up on it because no matter what was done at about 280 it would slingshot to the side.
i always have better luck on this game when i start out with low boost and then build from there. with that large of an engine it would be hard to maintain high psi because youre already making up for it with displacement XD
Maybe remove the turbos if you are running nitromethane. Let that nitro do all the boosting. I'd still maybe run that even if reliability is terrible. Just put a speed or rmp limiter before the break point. It said like 8K fail don't rev past 7500. Maybe beamng can handle the physics better. Race car are made to be reliable they meant to go fast.
