Funny you should claim that Led Zeppelin didn't use any lasers, smoke machines or fireworks in their shows, because they used a ton of pyrotechnics and gimmicks and starting from 1975, the year this specific concert (Earls Court 1975) in the video took place, they had started to use lasers and were in fact one of the first bands to use lasers in their shows.
Just look up footage of the band's performances of Dazed and Confused starting from the 1975 tour alone. You'll see Jimmy covered in haze from fog machines while laser pyramids form around him during his bow solo. In No Quarter, the fog machines worked so hard that it was virtually impossible to see the band onstage. They also had fireworks rigged to blow up during several songs, such as in Black Dog. At some concerts, Bonzo would set his gong on fire and bang on it while it was still aflame.
During their later years, Zeppelin were as much a visual attraction as they were a musical one.

Led Zeppelin threw down the gauntlet. No other Music entity can touch this iconic legendary Rock Group. Led Zeppelin is in a class all by itself with Record Album sales of 350 Million and rising. Robert Plant is the best front man ever. Jimmy Page is the best guitarist ever. John Bonham is the best drummer ever. Led Zeppelin was more than a band. They were a happening. Led Zeppelin brought a one of a kind mystique and swagger to the Rock music world. ❤

Zep's ability to tap into soul and funk always set them apart from so many other heavy bands of their era, or bands that followed. I hear this in some other bands (Pink Floyd, Bad Co, Fleetwood Mac, Prince, Talking Heads, Built to Spill, White Stripes, Black Keys, etc.), but Led Zeppelin's ability to go off the rails - all four of them - and into scat singing, pyschedelia, and a pounding volcanic fury is breathtaking because they never lose sight of the journey we're on, nor the end they lead us to.

Zeppelin had such a power and mystique about them that surpassed any and every other band. Pink Floyd had that some of that god-like mystery about them too in a different way, but what I'm trying to say is they were truly god-like to me as a teen from hearing the records and reading about them in Creem and Rolling Stone, like their art came from another world. When I finally saw the movie TSRTS it humanized them to me somewhat, just seeing them play like a regular band onstage at Madison Square Garden, and that was far from a flawless performance. But this Earl's Court gig shows them in all of their mighty god-like glory for sure. I agree with many here that 75 was their peak, that Graffiti is their masterpiece in its diversity (kind of like their White Album) if not their grandest statement (which was Zoso) but for this rock aficionado of all genres, Graffiti is my most listened-to album of all time and that is saying a lot. I also loved Presence, consider it understated but also underrated and Out Door as well. Carouselambra for example is an epic piece that sticks with me, and Tea for One may be a re-do of SIBLY but it has a dark and powerful character all its own that resonates and radiates. Achilles Last Stand - jaw dropping power. On and on. Another thing I'll say about LZ is I can't think of a single song of theirs I would call a "bad" song on all 8 studio albums. I don't think there is another band in rock history I would say that about - never released a bad song. Alright, I'm done now, just sharing the love and memories with you all.

I read that they planned on performing Carouselambra live for their 1980 tour. Imagine seeing a live performance of that!! Their most underrated song in my opinion. I agree 75 was their peak, although their live performances for that tour were hit and miss, partially due to Robert's flu and also probably because they went 18 months without playing prior to that tour. 73 tour I feel had more intertia to it. But the true FIRE tours were 71 and 72. But I agree Graffiti is their master statement. Presence is also one of my favorite albums. Listen to it often.

Phenominal. Bonham gave Page that kick in the ass that inspires him on the fly into another thousand note flurry. There's a reason Page was very good before Zeppelin and good after, but during Zeppelin was untouchable. The reason was John Bonham.
