Bonobo = spirit made music. He shows human high quality. Plus, he deploys evolution, professionally speaking. Better each time. Happy to have lived long enough to hear his musical expression.
I’ve been fortunate enough to see them live four times now and each performance has been memorable in its own right. Simon, the incredible band, and the featured vocalists like Szjerdene - Jordan Rakei and Nicole Miglis here - provide a live experience that transcends simple entertainment. They really know how to capture the magic. I’ve attended thousands of shows in my life and Bonobo stands apart.
Awesome, heading to the Brisbane, Australia show! So glad to hear that, it’s been a bucket list item for a long time, probably since I listened to black sands!
Thank you Bonobo! And thank you Cheryl Waters and KEXP, for producing the best live music videos on the internet. The sound engineers deserve a round of applause for always making these videos sound amazing!
Yea Black Sands is unmatchable! I saw the full band play Kiara in 2011 at bear creek festival & still gives me chills to remember the strings. Never miss a show/dj set
I met Simon after a concert in Amsterdam once. Such a nice and humble guy. The music unlocks something within me. I was fortunate enough to attend the Fragments tour concert in Amsterdam yesterday. Amazing show, musically and visually 💜🙏🏾💜
We're insanely lucky to live at a time where Bonobo is consistently producing, releasing, and performing music of this calibre. - is what i came up with after initially wanting to comment "Holy fuck this guy rips"
Huge praise to the interviewer and their questions, brought beautiful conversation and insight, shoutout to Simon as always for being a real person and returning the favour
Fragments has really become near my favorite Bonobo album after a few more listens. It just flows from one track to the next with so much ease and the artistry, collaboration of musicians, and singers with the style Simon has fronted is just untouchable. It's pure, beautiful music.
@@Bom-pff Its tough because they're all so good. Probably would say a tie between Animal Magic and Black Sands now. Days to Come 3rd then Fragments 4th. Migration, the north borders, and Dial M tied. All of what Simon does is great music!
Dial M for Monkey is forever part of my life. Bought it on a whim in Amsterdam while the psilocybin was creeping in. It was in the headphones for the duration. Ive since bought the album many times just to give it away.
Spiritual experiences, those. The kind that can imprint a connection to a pattern of frequencies that will instantly whisk you back to somewhere special when you hear them even years later.
That beat on "From You" is more intricate than a Swiss Watch. The engine samples in the bridge (or whatever is it) is what completely blows my mind, every time. That track is pure perfection
wow!!! in which ways are we having a moment with the many people listening, we are good analizing the universe and sometimes barely undesrtand it, so this mere moment we are connecting even though you are doing something else, a quantum realm been present just always, until now we begin to wonder, and that is a reveipe for unity and silent freedom
I feel like one of my dreamiest of dream jobs, which will probably never happen in 100000 years, is to be in Bonobo's band. It's got to be such a meditative, enriching experience
Incredible how Simon evolved in the course of the last years! Your music has always accompanied me since I was young ❤️ Looking forward to your show in Zurich this month ☺️👏
I haven't been able to get to a Bonobo show because of health reasons, so shows like these are just Magic. I put on my headphones, light a candle, and get transported to a mystical realm of audio ecstasy... Yet again Bonobo, you make music that surrounds and heals my soul.. 💜🎧
The Melangoly of Bonobo has been the Red wire in my life since 2016...part of the good vibes in my life i have sculpted with my Video´s is Tattoo'ed in my Soul accompanied with Bonobo´s music...thank you!! "with Tears in my Eyes"...
KEXP, y'all never cease to disappoint me in introducing brilliant music into my life. Thank you for yet another new (to me) artist! They've gained a new fan in Texas, USA. Love the tunes, and love you KEXP ✌️🥰
I can’t believe they had Jordan Rakei with them! He’s my favorite artist, and I play this song all the time. I just didn’t think they would have him along on KEXP. Amazing!
I traveled to Portland to see him as an opener, and had ZERO idea Bonobo platformed him like this. I love that people knew I was "there" solely for Jordan, acting like a fanboy during the opening set, and LEGIT everyone was leaning into me asking "WHO IS THIS GUY??" LOL. Cannot wait for him to blow up. Find his subreddit.... good people.
The New York show was fire. This album really exhibits your growth so much Simon. Thank you for putting out the frequencies you do. The world needs Bonobo now more than ever. Just thanks!

Excellent performance. Fell in love with these sounds almost 10yrs ago... Didnt even realise it was a whole band playing back then. And it shows in the production. Constant progression and instant chill out. Keep it up guys!
once you bonobo you cannot unbonobo
True true
I'd have to agree. I crossed paths tonight by happenstance and had to grab my headphones to actually absorb what I was hearing. Beautiful 🎶
@@onepunch7632 def been there before! Like wait...hold up, i need to experience this a little better

Hey you should check out a band called the Doublejumps if you like Bonobo
I discovered Bonobo two days ago...bruh...🔥🔥

I've been to maybe 100 shows, and I think Bonobo is best. Electronic + live instruments/vocals.. the brass was awesome.
Agreed. It'll be my fourth Bonobo gig this May!
Awesome, heading to the Brisbane, Australia show! So glad to hear that, it’s been a bucket list item for a long time, probably since I listened to black sands!
Agreed mate. Bonobo is the only musical artist that I qualify as a genius. His live concerts are something else.
same dude! Saw them last month at Toronto. The sound, visuals and the band was so perfectly IN sync. It was beautiful
The Terrapin melody in the outro of Counterpart gave me chills!!
So good !
Hhahah I got instantly excited when they teased that when I saw them last month.
Thought they were going to play it.
@@jdpower6360 What concert was that? I don't think they did at the one I went to

Exactly man. Actually, I think they sound even better and better, if it is yet possible!
I second this!
Bonobo live is an absolutely unique experience
Like none other!
Not really. They sound just like the band that girl was in lol
Seriously.
They all look so humbly pleased with their collective performance
I think his Black Sands album is masterpiece. And this new is something really close!

their awesome, haven’t listened in abi so glad to run into them once again E>
There has been soooo many bands on KEXP I love but very few with this kind of flawless production. Just amazing how precise these guys are.
Jordan's voice is amazing

Thankful to have seen Bonobo at Showbox SoDo for my wife and my anniversary gift! Celebrated 14 years with our favorite artist!

What a blessing dude ! That must have been amazing ,much love to you :)
That is some outro for the 1st song and homage to Terrapin, sooo smoooth
got slightly excited that they were going to transition to Terrapin!
Nicolas Miglis Voice is out of this world, it really feats all works from Bonobo
The second singer is spot on with delivery-incredible to be able to recreate it live so faithfully to the album version...
Huge praise to the interviewer and their questions, brought beautiful conversation and insight, shoutout to Simon as always for being a real person and returning the favour
She is the best, for sure💙
Nothing can replace the feel and sound of actual instruments and live voice. More connection for me. More feels. Bonobo❤️🔥

Yooo look up videos of the full band doing Kiara! Sometimes there’s a full orchestra!
I’ve seen him alone doing dj sets and with live instrumentation/band. Can’t beat him with a band imo
