I can't disagree. I am a huge fan of all of them. When I was younger I got into more underground lyrics... So I found a joy in Aesop and even Eyedea. More of Eyedea's later stuff before he passed away. But Aesop still is the most "complex" lyricist with the largest vocabulary, but it's how he weaves his words that grasp me. Either way, I love your picks bc on a more mainstream level, you are correct. And Big L deserves more respect for how great he was... And I got love for the others you mentioned as well. Also... Finally. Do Water Tower, Gopher Guts, Jumping Coffin, 39 thieves, Kyanite Toothpick, Mindful Solutionism, Pass the Cup, Sick Friend, Homemade Mummy, Food Clothes Medicine, 9-5ers anthem. So many worth listening to.
Also his side project with Rob Sonic, Hail Mary Mallon.

What a comprehensive breakdown. Thanks for reacting to a favorite of mine. Your analysis was thorough and constructive. Also, when someone rhymes vowel sounds, or at least perceived vowel sounds, that's called assonance. Aesop does that a lot. I believe it's why I looked up the term way back when.

Aesop Rock will blow your mind. His old stuff is so layered and dense, but as he's aged i feel like he's refined his art so well. Check out Jazz Hands from Garbology (2021), which is still as metaphoric and abstract, but feels like a far more polished track than his mid-90s released.
There's a bunch of common themes throughout each of his albums, too. Anti-capitalism, anti-authoritarianism and of course his cat Kirby.

    Agressive Steven

    TV on 10 (The Uncluded)
Walk Like Thunder (Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson version)

I SEE FOLKS SAYING TO DO RINGS OR ANY SONG OFF IMPOSSIBLE KIDS , BUT THEY ARE SOOOOO OVERREACTED TO! Gopher Guts is some of the most beautifully written song ever but the beat keeps it outa my top & after the first week or so i haven't put Jazz Hands on a loop & i still decades later listen to my Top 10 on a loops some days soooo. my top 10 in no order- Big Bang, Dryspell, Fast Cars, Tetra, Sick Friend, 9-5ers, Kill the Messanger, Commencement at the Obedience Academy, Hall of Game, & Marble Cake. Close calls are Nickel Plated Pockets, The Substance, Hot Dogs...I could go on & on

I think you're missing a bunch of biblical things, im not even religious, but ive read the books. The last verse starts in the mind of a soldier sent to do whatever in a battle that turns out to be the end times battle and the dark horse that puts a stop to it is one of the 4 horseman of the apocalypse. The cardboard city bit is, I think, about yes, telling stories, those unfortunate souls that live homeless, but also how easy it is to be on the other end of the coin toss, trading tales like trading places the movie. He uses the visual of tossing a coin to a homeless person as easily as life could have made your flip tails and you'd be catching the penny in cardboard city.
This video was amazing, it helped me with many parts for sure, thanks!
