The last verse starts in the mind of a soldier sent to do whatever in a battle that turns out to be the end times battle and the dark horse that puts a stop to it is one of the 4 horseman of the apocalypse. The cardboard city bit is, I think, about yes, telling stories, those unfortunate souls that live homeless, but also how easy it is to be on the other end of the coin toss, trading tales like trading places the movie. He uses the visual of tossing a coin to a homeless person as easily as life could have made your flip tails and you'd be catching the penny in cardboard city. I'M SOOOO STOKED THAT AESOP IS IN UR LIFE KNOX!! Love hearing u dig deep into his art. BEST None SHall Pass Reaction out there!!! I SEE FOLKS SAYING TO DO RINGS OR ANY SONG OFF IMPOSSIBLE KIDS , BUT THEY ARE SOOOOO OVERREACTED TO! WOULD LOVE TO SEE ANY OF HIS SONGS THAT ARE RARELY/NEVER REACTED TO. in my Top 10 Aesop Track for over a decade are Big Bang & Fast Cars. they're genius
What about Gauze? Or Marble Cake? Gopher Guts? Jazz Hands?
@@theyonlycomeoutwhenitsquiet Marble Cake is in my Top 10 there's just soooOOO many that my Top 50 is hard to break into so knocking a song out of Top 10, most of which haven't changed in a decade means i really loved it. Gopher Guts is some of the most beautifully written song ever but the beat keeps it outa my top & after the first week or so i haven't put Jazz Hands on a loop & i still decades later listen to my Top 10 on a loops some days soooo. my top 10 in no order- Big Bang, Dryspell, Fast Cars, Tetra, Sick Friend, 9-5ers, Kill the Messanger, Commencement at the Obedience Academy, Hall of Game, & Marble Cake. Close calls are Nickel Plated Pockets, The Substance, Hot Dogs...I could go on & on
i am so glad a high level reactor finally does a real reaction to him and honestly you are the only one who can. cliff, nolife, scru, mrlboyd, cypt, etc. cant do the level of breakdown this man deserves, but you do and i thank you for it. no regrets or no jumper cables, if you want to do another, or Kirby if you like cats. lol
Oh finally more people are reacting to Aesop. Glad to see you going in
Impossible Kid, Acid King, his new album all amazing!
I think you're missing a bunch of biblical things, im not even religious, but ive read the books.
This video was amazing, it helped me with many parts for sure, thanks!
yes finally someone showing Aesop some love!
Finally... I been messaging you Aesop for a minute now.
I just did that too. Like a week ago. This is dope
Lol same. Aesop is the goat
Aesop rock is my favorite artist . I really appreciate you reacting to his music . I'd love to see your reaction on two of his tracks, Dorks and Klutz
Fun fact: Zeitgeist is German and literally translates to "time spirit/ghost" (appropriate since zeitgeist means spirit of the times)

"Life's not a bitch, it's a beeyotch who keeps the villagers out circling the marketplace looking for the g-spot".
Nightlight by Aesop.
I love them both, nightlight hits harder.
I’d love for Aes to ghost write a diss and leave everyone wondering what’s going on afterwards
Please tell me this means you are going to start reacting to some of his new tracks. It’s so hard to find good reactions on his tracks and he deserves so much more attention
BENZINO STUDIO FOOTAGE IS GETTING LEAKED KNOX!!!
Lol yeah, I was just thinking I wonder if Cliff let him know about it before sharing it on youtube
I’m pretty sure he’s aware just hadn’t posted it yet
Yeah if someone comes with 20k to buy it.
Jayblac says the man in the chair is Ness Lee.
And who is going to pay the 20k?
Damn Knox! This video could be a thesis: Aesop Rock’s Metaphorical Approach to Social Commentary
I was driving the other day, and I was thinking how you would dissect Aesop Rock, and here we are!
