Parkie is the best interviewer ever. Caine is just the best. A northern Yorkshire lad chatting with a southern shandy drinking londoner.... no pretence just two friends having a chat. That's Parkie's gift, he's just got that manner that relaxes people and lets them talk.... You won't find anyone today as good as these two in their respective roles.
I wonder how long it will be before we look back at this icon and remember what a great actor/ person he was ? Sir Michael is 89 when he goes the best of the best will never be seen again, thank you for all your work and if you have any problem with the Pearly Gates "Just blow the bloody doors off"

It has always been a treat for me to see what an elegant, charming human he is all wrapped up with his lovely accent. His performances never disappoint. He is a man in full.
What a wonderful man Michael Caine is and how self-effacing. He and I have much in common. I too grew up in London in Deptford, just down the road from the Elephant and Castle. I too lived in a prefab and my mother was a charlady. My mother also had a child out of wedlock whom I did not meet until he was eighteen and I was twelve. I am nearly 83 years old now. Michael is a little older. Listening to him brought back so many memories of my time living in London. I left when I was thirty, emigrating to Australia. Having lived in this wonderful land for over 50 years, I never had any regrets about leaving.
"I had to work. Remember I had to buy everyone a house..." he really looked out for his own family, which to me tells what a great man he must be. So little selfishness you don't find very often these days.
He was featured on an episode of Border control uk. He was stsnding in line to have his passport stamped and checked as he returned to uk. The immigration officer a young lady spotted him and smiled. @@chunkychinn Yes, but he was still one of the greatest entertainers on the planet, and extremely successful. Unfortunately, he was no different to other people that didn't have a normal childhood, plus his father was not a nice man. Also, to be honest, I wouldn't want to have 8 siblings in a two-bedroom house. That's what they experienced. Horrible. As he himself said, when speaking for himself, his childhood was taken away from him. I would never defend Michael Jacksons wrongdoing, because he did horrible things, but I don't think he understood the difference between right and wrong. He was like a kid. He had, from a very young age, people around him encouraging him to do things that aren't normal (drugs, etc.)
