Saddler had all the advantages in these fights, I'm surprised Pep did as well as he did.

Willie Pep did that well because his foot work, stances, distance and timing were so well tuned. It's almost watching a smaller version of Jersey Joe Walcott. Dealing with boxers and fighters that unorthodox and able to fight in left-right or squared up is crazy.

The late great Muhammad Ali study Woody pep style, pep had the greatest footwork ever he was a scientific boxer back in the day. I believe send Sarah was one of the few boxes that ever beat him
