I just realized something: in almost every instance of the tragic events that kick each movie off, it's due to poor maintenance of equipment. The first movie had an old plane that looked like it hadn't had a safety inspection since it was built, the second movie had the loose chains on the log truck, this movie had a roller coaster that looked like it hadn't had a safety inspection, and the fourth movie was due to someone leaving a wrench/screwdriver in a car's fuel tank (or whatever hole that was). The fifth movie, however, was because they should've closed the bridge during construction. Human error was another factor in each tragic event.
I think the plane blowing up was more so Death setting it up to finish off Sam If he wasn’t on it then I don’t think it would’ve blown up And therefore putting the events of the films in motion
The plane blowing up was actually based off TWA 800, the only flight to ever blow up in midair from technical reasons. It wasnt poor equipment, it was due to a flaw in how the air conditioning system was placed causing flammable gases to rise which were then ignited by a short circuit in the wiring

one thing I learn from the final destination series is: death is like a child at game evenings. he hates to be cheated yet starts cheating when he's about to lose the game.
Final destination is a series of movies about someone playing the Sims and trying to find ways to get the Sims killed. All filmed from the perspective of the Sims. Just brilliant if you ask me.
Not to mention there's absolutely no way of escaping it. I had this movie's DVD, and it had an extra on it, showing what would happen if people did something different. For example, in those girls on the tanning bed, they did manage to pull out the shelf, but when the one that avoided the shelf tries to take her friend out, they both get electrocuted by the malfunctioning tanning bed, and die.
@@JotaC The only thing that seems like a possibility is the new life rule (didn't work in 2 because the mother wasn't in the accident at the beginning). So get one of the survivors pregnant and have her stay in a padded room at a mental hospital like the girl in the second movie until the baby is born.
tbh I bet death wasn't even around them when they died, he was probably just chilling somewhere and then saw "oh right, those two died, was supposed to kill them myself but oh well, time to move on"
Well, in general, the rules are safety precautions. You wouldn't be allowed to bring kids and a loose video camera on a roller-coaster. Im sure the owner of the tanning bed got sued by the family
Given that Death eventually catches up to the survivors and the only way to escape is to create new life, I don't think it would've mattered whether the valley girls pushed the board out or not. Not to mention there's an alternate death that shows that doing so was pointless. Plus, given they were burning alive, I doubt they even noticed the board in the first place even if they were thinking straight, which is hard to do when you're panicking and _especially_ when you're literally being burned alive.
No brining a new life wouldn’t work. In fact for this movie there’s a special feature on the dvd ( or blueray ) called “choose their fates” . Where you can slightly alter the main death scenes in the movie. In one of the scenes there’s a newspaper that’s says the main characters from the 2nd movies eventually died in a car crash. So birthing a baby wouldn’t work. The only method thats shown to work is in the 5th movie where you can kill someone and gain their life.
@@outathisworld2130 I kind of assumed that the reason it didn’t work in the 2nd movie was because the pregnant lady didn’t die in the premonition at the start, therefore she wasn’t involved.
@@outathisworld2130 no one has successfully created new life in this series yet. The pregnant lady in 2 wasn’t supposed to die to begin with, and the original ending of 1 where a baby was born got changed, so the only other confirmed way is murder and take someone who isn’t in the cycle. Thing is, only death knows who isn’t in the cycle.
@@carlyleyt Killing someone was not REALLY shown to work, because if they're going to die in a week from an accident or a disease, you'll die in a week. So you're still gambling. What was definitely shown to work is staying in a death-proof room, like a padded asylum like Clear did in the first movie. So you can either try to convince someone at the front of the order to do that, or kidnap them and keep them alive.
To be fair they weren’t burning yet when the board got stuck, if they had looked around the moment they became stuck they would’ve noticed it , death gave them a little bit of a chance.
Fun fact : This movie has a special DVD featurette "choose their fate" where it gives you options to decide what to do before one of the person die. The story is only slightly changed for most parts but there is an actual alternative scene where they can save Frankie from his demise and what they do in that scene is exactly what should be in the video as the best option.
I love these videos for 3 reasons: 1. I pretty much get to watch a free movie 2. I learn how to survive the movie even though I will most likely never survive in a situation like this 3. This guy is entertaining as heck and his sponsor transitions are sooooo smooth

@@goldenshadow963gaming Correct me If I’m wrong, but didn’t Wendy’s life get saved, therefore restarting the order so that McKinley was next, so that no one died out of turn? The fact that he was getting ready to murder doesn’t mean it would have worked, since the chap who wanted to shoot himself in FD2 also got ready to shoot himself, but was unable to.
@@DasSchnitzel56 No it was actually vice versa, mckinley was saved by wendy, which changed the order. And yes murder does work, as its been shown multiple times that deaths design can and will incorporate people into it, this movie even shows that when they review pictures before tragic deaths such as 9/11 and abraham lincoln's assassination. Besides, the evidence you relied on is suicide, not murder
If Frankie didn’t end up riding the roller coaster, what broke the hydraulics? His camera fell out of his hand in the premonition and wrapped around the track. But because he got kicked off the ride, I’m assuming his camera went with him? Do they ever explain that?
The hydraulics were unstable anyway, they would’ve broken at any moment but his camera was the breaking point. I think the little fight scene where they are getting kicked out gave the hydraulics enough time to come loose that if anyone rode on there, they would suffer the same fate.
Cinema Summary be escaping Death like The Brother that got the Cloak of Invisibility. Only that the cloak Is a regular ass cloak, it's chilly where he lives.

12:57 no I disagree. If we take more photos, then we just confusing ourselves with many more death options. Frankie had 2 photos but only one photo had his death clue. This means that if we take more photos, almost every single thing would be able to kill us
I remember they overlooked his actual clue the 1st time when it was the upskirt photo Kevin took when he nabbed Wendy's camera. They realized it too late
I mean the photos show the future? Death definitely knows which photo will be last before they're even taken. There won't be any clues in the other photos
Yeah, that honestly was the best move, Death can stop something that can be stopped.... but driving into a lake in order to drown? How the hell does death stop that?
You'd think that in the 3rd movie these people would think "Hmmm, I random teenager saying that they've had a vision of us all dying?..... I'll just head home"
Right! This is now the third time, in the movie universe, that a tragic accident has been predicted beforehand and then followed up by everyone who was supposed to die, dying. We know for sure that the(in universe) news about the first final destination movie mentions the prediction.

I remember in the alternate version, Wendy honks the horn again and Frankie turns around and flips them off again but since they know it’s Frankie, Kevin grabs him and takes him out of the car after breaking the windshield and getting out of the car. Even though you save him, he ends up going to jail for doing something inappropriate to an undercover cop. I don't think death can make them die from natural causes like heart attack, flue, blood clot lmao it got to be brutal, an object hitting/impaling you or something chemical blowing up on you.
Death In the Final Destination series has a design as to how everything flows and sticks to it. The victims were all meant to die In a freak accident, so when they escape, Death has to make them die In freak accidents.

For the valley girls, if you watch the special features there is an alternate death for them. The blond does push out the board but when she goes to save the brunette the glass breaks and electrocutes them both
Back in 2019, i've heard of 3 friends missing their plane in italy, if im correct. The plane ended up having an accident, killing everyone in it. Relieved, they drive back home and end up in a car crash.
So if Mckinley (gothic guy) is the cause of death for the main girl and the clue was already there since the beginning of the film in one of the photos…then that means death already knew that gothic guy will skip death, go nuts and try to kill the main girl? so everything you do is pointless as death already knows you skipping death is part of your death fate.
Oof I always thought the hydrologic thing was a bill board that was advertising the school. But now since it's not a bill board, I just think that you spotted a big plot hole/inconsistency.
The idea that they should have stay put in the drive through is flawed. They had no way knowing whether or not Frank is still alive at that moment in time. So staying put against that truck rolling down the hill would not be the wisest thing to do.
@@3n0ch_j1n5 except if you watch the movies you know you may not die but you can be horribly maimed and put in a position where you have no way to avoid death at your turn. More importantly getting smashed by a car into your car may not kill you instantly, while a engine flying through your head would. The situation could of played out the same way if you stayed put, at least for the killing the camera guy. Yet also added now is that while not killing you instantly maybe, the car crashing into you would end up leaving you in critical condition and sent to the hospital to die when death chooses.
The tanning bed death always freaked me out. That would really be a horrible and painful way to die if you couldn't get out in time, and if you were saved, the mental trauma and physical scarring would be just awful.

I saw a video from Dead meat on this from his kill count where he said he needed stitches after going on a tanning bed, because he had gotten a cancer in his arm from the chemicals released from it.
I thought, maybe, if one of them pushed the board to the other side, the bed would unlock, you get out, then pull back the board and let your friend out
"why does nobody believe me screaming about visions of people dying i saw" "i don't believe your records of many people dying in similar circumstances are true despite all the evidence that it happened and the fact you're my friend who i should believe and is so far the only one who believes me" This girl is something else.
Like he said, deserves the amount of effort she’s putting in. She know 100% her boyfriend would DIE if he stayed on that ride. Really she knew they all would, but even if she was just concerned with saving her bf, to think all she would do is yell his name. But it’s a movie at the end of the day
There's an alternate scene where actually the brunette valley girl, actually escapes from the tan bed, she is hit by the shelf and then when she wakes up and tries to help her friend both are electrocuted...so, well at least she tried in the alternate cut scene

No. They may not have died but they can still get massive injuries. Rendering them disabled. Just like Eugene in Final Destination 2. And death’s plan will then continue without a hitch.
Ok but imagine yourself in that situation. I know you just figured out the rules that death has and how it has an order for these kills but if you see a truck going full speed behind you while you're in a "death game" then you are 100% gonna try your best to avoid that truck 😂. Plus it was early and the "death order" theory was still a reach.
the way that death knew Mckinely was going to be skipped and be the cause of Wendy’s death should have caused red flags that they didn’t escape death and it wasn’t over😭

I once had a final destination type experience when going on the Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland I think 3 days after it opened. K CLASS SCENARIO: END OF DEATH
As Dead Meat James once said:
"I am NOT blaming Death for the twins' death, that's on them."

@@b-chroniumproductions3177 Yeah but due to her stopping the tragedy that would kill 17 people, they each die one by one, with herself at the end of the line. So she has a lot more time to figure out how she can prevent her death and maybe even prevent a few more deaths as well.
@@b-chroniumproductions3177 It goes without saying but the idea is as other commenters say here, more time is given. There’s a way to prevent each death after (it often happens when people put themselves in danger).
The other thing that gets me is why would Alex be given the vision? Unless it’s death itself messing with them, something else is trying to prevent it.

Imagine on final destination 4 Wendy is alive and made a deal with death and is now the villain just like what happened on SAW/JIGSAW

I'm lowkey curious on this, please elaborate lol
i actually wrote an au similar to this:
basically in the au she survives the train crash but julie & kevin still die. the combination of grief, ptsd, survivor’s guilt, and continued premonitions drives her into a nervous breakdown, and in the process she comes to the conclusion that if she can’t stop their deaths, she can at least make sure they don’t have to suffer. so she tracks down people affected by future premonitions and kills them off in the quickest, most painless way possible.
Honestly would be better than the actual 4th film, the film based on 2 events, one from 1955 and did kill people and the other happened in 1987 and killed no one, and it also caused the sport to go full safety
I think it happened in one of the spin off books,'looks could kill'' or something.
as a huge Final Destination fan I am disappointed in myself that I never realised that all Wendy and Kevin had to do was stay in that drive thru to save that idiot 😳😳
No. They may not have died but they can still get massive injuries. Rendering them disabled. Just like Eugene in Final Destination 2. And death’s plan will then continue without a hitch.
But wouldn't the engine still fly out?
@@carized8852 triple kill it is
Ok but imagine yourself in that situation. I know you just figured out the rules that death has and how it has an order for these kills but if you see a truck going full speed behind you while you're in a "death game" then you are 100% gonna try your best to avoid that truck 😂. Plus it was early and the "death order" theory was still a reach.
Is Frankie the real idiot in that situation?
I like how this franchise never even botheted to explain why special characters get visions.
the way that death knew Mckinely was going to be skipped and be the cause of Wendy’s death should have caused red flags that they didn’t escape death and it wasn’t over😭
Damn I've seen this movie a million times and just realized that the Mckinnley clue was changed to her running into her mckinnley classmates randomly.
The clue was pointing to the cherry picker not the goth kid, it had a sign with Mckinely on it. If the goth kid was dead they'd have kept walking forward and been crushed when they dropped to avoid the fireworks and it dropped.
The irony is McKinley is killed by the McKinley board 🤣
Could you explain that a little better?
I once had a final destination type experience when going on the Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland I think 3 days after it opened. The only thing holding you down is a big piece of hard plastic that locks over your lap. When we got to the top I heard a clicking sound from my seat and the safety feature released. My friends had to hold my down by the shoulders the whole ride and it was shut down for the rest of the day. I still went on other roller coasters afterwards but I get really worried every time a friend of mine goes on the ride.
Damn, good job not dying
bro you almost died and still went on other roller coaster, sis you good? 😂
Freaky! Glad you're still here.
Did the actual lap bar get loose or did the seatbelt come off?
@@CookedCrispy22 i'm sure it was the lap lock, i dont see how the seatbelt would get unhooked like that, but still scary nonetheless

Destination 3 had the best deaths hands down
The tanning bed scene is genuinely the most horrific scene I have ever seen in a horror film. Had to skip it on the first watch
Same here , i was scared to death when i watched the movies , got me paranoid
But could have definitely been avoided
I watched final destinations quite a few years back when I was around 10? My Father turned it on the TV and afterwards I kept thinking about how gruesome the death scenes were
3 and 4 feel far too mean spirited for me, 2 and 1 are better and generally sympathethic and treat the movie as genuine horror to some degree.
Four's why can't we be friends scene is very great doh
But also the most ironic. Because death probably didn’t even cause this. Totally the girls fault for being idiots
In the final destination movies, death has a huge weakness. He can only kill you using rube goldberg machines. Proper maintenance, and ensuring everything is firmly secure in their proper locations in the key to survival.
Yep. I suppose that's one thing to learn from the series: keep everything everywhere properly maintained. (I mean all the individuals who work in each possibly fatal scenerio.)
And suddenly a machine lands at you from a helicopter
You never know what happens dude
Still wouldn't work because you're placing your faith in an innumerable number of people and, let's be honest, that never works out.
Yet death has also done fast deaths: Shrapnel, bus from the first film, and the wrench from part 5
Yeah, except for the fact that the survivors in the next movie all got a random truck smashed into them while sitting in a dinner.
