The creators of Final Destination were so creative with these movies. They make the most interesting deaths caused by the most abnormal ways.
I agree, and they also make deaths that may actually happen suck as the log incident , the bus, and shower scene. those aspects make it even more thrilling because of the realistic aspects. Overall it’s just an amazing series lol

I just realized something: in almost every instance of the tragic events that kick each movie off, it's due to poor maintenance of equipment. The first movie had an old plane that looked like it hadn't had a safety inspection since it was built, the second movie had the loose chains on the log truck, this movie had a roller coaster that looked like it hadn't had a safety inspection, and the fourth movie was due to someone leaving a wrench/screwdriver in a car's fuel tank (or whatever hole that was). The fifth movie, however, was because they should've closed the bridge during construction. Human error was another factor in each tragic event.

The plane blowing up was actually based off TWA 800, the only flight to ever blow up in midair from technical reasons. It wasnt poor equipment, it was due to a flaw in how the air conditioning system was placed causing flammable gases to rise which were then ignited by a short circuit in the wiring

Given that Death eventually catches up to the survivors and the only way to escape is to create new life, I don't think it would've mattered whether the valley girls pushed the board out or not. Not to mention there's an alternate death that shows that doing so was pointless. Plus, given they were burning alive, I doubt they even noticed the board in the first place even if they were thinking straight, which is hard to do when you're panicking and _especially_ when you're literally being burned alive.
No brining a new life wouldn’t work. In fact for this movie there’s a special feature on the dvd ( or blueray ) called “choose their fates” . Where you can slightly alter the main death scenes in the movie. In one of the scenes there’s a newspaper that’s says the main characters from the 2nd movies eventually died in a car crash. So birthing a baby wouldn’t work. The only method thats shown to work is in the 5th movie where you can kill someone and gain their life.
@@outathisworld2130 I kind of assumed that the reason it didn’t work in the 2nd movie was because the pregnant lady didn’t die in the premonition at the start, therefore she wasn’t involved.
@@outathisworld2130 no one has successfully created new life in this series yet. The pregnant lady in 2 wasn’t supposed to die to begin with, and the original ending of 1 where a baby was born got changed, so the only other confirmed way is murder and take someone who isn’t in the cycle. Thing is, only death knows who isn’t in the cycle.
@@carlyleyt Killing someone was not REALLY shown to work, because if they're going to die in a week from an accident or a disease, you'll die in a week. So you're still gambling. What was definitely shown to work is staying in a death-proof room, like a padded asylum like Clear did in the first movie. So you can either try to convince someone at the front of the order to do that, or kidnap them and keep them alive.
To be fair they weren’t burning yet when the board got stuck, if they had looked around the moment they became stuck they would’ve noticed it , death gave them a little bit of a chance.

If Frankie didn’t end up riding the roller coaster, what broke the hydraulics? His camera fell out of his hand in the premonition and wrapped around the track. But because he got kicked off the ride, I’m assuming his camera went with him? Do they ever explain that?

i honestly don’t know.
The hydraulics were unstable anyway, they would’ve broken at any moment but his camera was the breaking point. I think the little fight scene where they are getting kicked out gave the hydraulics enough time to come loose that if anyone rode on there, they would suffer the same fate.
How the survivors could’ve survived longer:
Ashley: Actually put your drink in the trash or you would kill your BFF
Frankie: Obey pulling out of the order if you were possibly done
Lewis: Listen to your friends about death and don’t be too rough
Erin: Maybe try not to move when something splatters in your face
Perry: Run away and don’t just stand there
Ian: Learn that death will always be after you and stay away from Wendy
Wendy, Julie, Kevin: Be aware of the 180 number before departure of a vehicle

12:57 no I disagree. If we take more photos, then we just confusing ourselves with many more death options. Frankie had 2 photos but only one photo had his death clue. This means that if we take more photos, almost every single thing would be able to kill us

I mean the photos show the future? Death definitely knows which photo will be last before they're even taken. There won't be any clues in the other photos

27:54 My solution to survive this train accident is to lie down underneath the seats. From Wendy's premonition, the subway cars were not damaged from the metal frame. Just the windows were damaged. Lie down with your face towards the train walls and not towards the rest of the cabin.

This movie always lingers in my mind while I’m on roller coasters. Last trip to six flags was pretty exhilarating.
So if Mckinley (gothic guy) is the cause of death for the main girl and the clue was already there since the beginning of the film in one of the photos…then that means death already knew that gothic guy will skip death, go nuts and try to kill the main girl? so everything you do is pointless as death already knows you skipping death is part of your death fate.

This is honestly a terrifying movie plot, and there seems to be no way to escape it other than being cause and observant at every turn.
Not to mention there's absolutely no way of escaping it. I had this movie's DVD, and it had an extra on it, showing what would happen if people did something different.
For example, in those girls on the tanning bed, they did manage to pull out the shelf, but when the one that avoided the shelf tries to take her friend out, they both get electrocuted by the malfunctioning tanning bed, and die.
Yea even if you avoid the original death death can still make a new death for them like even if the girls didn't get tanned they could get burned
@@JotaC The only thing that seems like a possibility is the new life rule (didn't work in 2 because the mother wasn't in the accident at the beginning). So get one of the survivors pregnant and have her stay in a padded room at a mental hospital like the girl in the second movie until the baby is born.

popular opinion: this is the best final destination in the entire franchise
I remember in the alternate version, Wendy honks the horn again and Frankie turns around and flips them off again but since they know it’s Frankie, Kevin grabs him and takes him out of the car after breaking the windshield and getting out of the car.
Even though you save him, he ends up going to jail for doing something inappropriate to an undercover cop.
Then it asks you if it was worth saving him, pressing yes made a video play of what happened before and after the roller coaster incident and how he tries to change himself for the better before he ends up getting arrested.

Final destination is a series of movies about someone playing the Sims and trying to find ways to get the Sims killed. All filmed from the perspective of the Sims. Just brilliant if you ask me.

That's why I still love this movie best of the franchise
Fun fact : This movie has a special DVD featurette "choose their fate" where it gives you options to decide what to do before one of the person die. The story is only slightly changed for most parts but there is an actual alternative scene where they can save Frankie from his demise and what they do in that scene is exactly what should be in the video as the best option.

Correct me If I’m wrong, but didn’t Wendy’s life get saved, therefore restarting the order so that McKinley was next, so that no one died out of turn? The fact that he was getting ready to murder doesn’t mean it would have worked, since the chap who wanted to shoot himself in FD2 also got ready to shoot himself, but was unable to.

And yes murder does work, as its been shown multiple times that deaths design can and will incorporate people into it, this movie even shows that when they review pictures before tragic deaths such as 9/11 and abraham lincoln's assassination. Besides, the evidence you relied on is suicide, not murder

I have two issues with the fifth rule set up around the 8:30 mark about new life in the world resetting things. One, the scene from FD2 of the kid being born used with it isn't what that rule meant, that mom and her kid weren't slated to die at all. Instead, one of the characters managed to force their heart to stop via attempted drowning and resuscitation. Two, as people have brought up, the disc for this movie had a special 'choose their fate' feature, and if you use it, there's a point where it shows a newspaper with the two survivors of FD2 having died in a 'freak accident', showing the rule doesn't even really apply at all.
Regarding your first issue. I also released how that the quote "New life defeats death" wasn't talking about the baby and instead, about the death and resuscitation. But if you noticed in FD1, Alex Browning (main character) also died when he was rescuing Clear Rivers, which means that they should both have defeated death. But this is wrong as both of them will eventually die so i'm guessing that this rule doesn't actually apply to killing yourself then being brought back alive. We never actually see the two people in FD2 die, so I'd rather say that the rule applies more with actually bringing a new life (baby) into the world. This is confusing so I don't know if you'll understand everything that i said :)

Back in 2019, i've heard of 3 friends missing their plane in italy, if im correct. The plane ended up having an accident, killing everyone in it. Relieved, they drive back home and end up in a car crash.

In terms of the train at the end. She knows how they all die on it again. I'd tell them to hit the deck. That way the sister wouldnt be hit by the metal debris & Kevin wouldnt go into the window & they'd then possibly be alive when Wendy has the broken leg enough to move her off the track.

The fact that the tanning beds in the tanning scene looked like caskets was already a red flag.

Except they're not responsible. Jason asks to get off the ride, and they ignore him. That is a big no-no, and add in the fact that the park let the coaster get so worn out in the first place, and this is definitely not an establishment concerned with safety.

Although, we never see the aftermath of the incident other than how the school takes it, so it's probably safe to assume the place gets shut down or at least sued up the ass.

The victims were all meant to die In a freak accident, so when they escape, Death has to make them die In freak accidents.
I love these videos for 3 reasons:

A bit of info from a former rider operator at Michigan’s adventure. I am trained to put the safety of the riders before all else. If there’s even a tiny hint or suspicion that something is not right, I will shut the ride down and call maintenance. I have shut a ride down because of a rider coming to me and claiming they found a bolt laying around near the ride, as even that’s enough to throw up flags for me. I take no chances when I have peoples lives in my hands. So when it comes to getting people off the ride in the beginning, all you gotta do is say you saw something on the track fall off or detach, any responsible operator would shut the ride down to investigate.
So we ain’t gonna talk about how the two valley girl’s coffins look like the tanning beds

There's an alternate scene where actually the brunette valley girl, actually escapes from the tan bed, she is hit by the shelf and then when she wakes up and tries to help her friend both are electrocuted...so, well at least she tried in the alternate cut scene
