    Some of these “PR disasters” are really just a storm in a teacup. It really goes to show how thick, out of touch and desperate for a story the media really are. Take for example the “fields of wheat” and Milliband’s sandwich. No one can actually explain what’s embarrassing about either of them. Let’s just touch on Milliband, he ate a sandwich and pulled a funny face, which by the way we all do if photographed at the right moment. Does anyone really think this incident lost him votes!? I sincerely hope not! I mean imagine that thought process when going to the polling station-hmmm, I really like his policies and I think he has a lot of integrity and seems like a good family man, but the way he ate that sandwich was a bloody disgrace! I’m voting conservative!!

    • @johnmelrose3774
      @johnmelrose3774 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They arent thick because the electorate are the ones eating it up and the media know this.
      It's ridiculous how out of touch the working class are, they keep voting for the elite class to rule despite the elite class constantly pooping all over them.
      Nothings going to change anytime soon when the sheep keep following blindly.

    • @roberttownrow3606
      @roberttownrow3606 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Unfortunately, it really is that superficial. Sometimes people will refuse to vote for someone cos "there's something about him/her I just can't trust". Other times, as in the case of Ed, they just felt he's too uncool and they really would vote for someone with a bit more charisma. The sandwich photo summed up what many were already thinking - Ed just wasn't "cool" or slick enough to be Prime Minister. They wanted someone they could take seriously, like David Cameron. I'll leave the experts to determine whether Cameron should have been taken seriously, and whether "charisma" is really just code for being better able to manage the media, or being more liked by media gatekeepers!

    • @jonnysloffy
      @jonnysloffy 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @roberttownrow3606 maybe you're right. After this election, I think people actually be might be that thick! They're all like zombies! Not an original thought between them. In fairness to Theresa May that's not such an easy question to answer. "Naughty" implies - when she was a young child, not a teenager. She couldn't say shoplifting or anything like that, so she quickly came up with something pretty harmless, and something that kids often do - trespassing. It was a terrible example she gave because it came across as boring. Had she said she hid on the local wheat fields when she was supposed to be doing cross country run at school then everyone would have nodded in approval.

    Should do a list of the top worst things Prince Phillip ever said:-
    “Everybody was saying we must have more leisure. Now they are complaining they are unemployed” (during the 1981 recession).
    “You are a woman, aren’t you?” (in Kenya after accepting a small gift from a local woman).
    “If you stay here much longer you’ll all be slitty-eyed” (to a group of British students during a royal visit to China).
    “You can’t have been here that long, you haven’t got pot belly” (to a Briton he met in Hungary).
    “Aren’t most of you descended from pirates?” (to a wealthy islander in the Cayman Islands).
    “How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test” (to a Scottish driving instructor).
    “It looks as if it was put in by an Indian” (referring to an old-fashioned fuse box in a factory near Edinburgh).
    “Still throwing spears?” (question put to an Aboriginal Australian during a visit).
    “There’s a lot of your family in tonight” (after looking at the name badge of businessman Atul Patel at a Palace reception for British Indians).
    “The Philippines must be half-empty as you’re all here running the NHS” (on meeting a Filipino nurse at Luton and Dunstable Hospital).
    Oh yes and wasn't there one saying when he died he wanted to come back as a deadly virus? Yeah good one Phil.
