Alex had way too much fun doing this scene..... Bill's laugh at the beginning of the dream is one of the most disturbing evil laughs I've ever heard....
Fun Fact: in this Episode at 0:23, you can see Stanley and Ford's swingset, here its fixed while back in Stan's mind is broken, Ford has forgiven Stanley (to Dipper at least) while Stanley has not
I don’t think it’s fair to say Ford’s forgiven Stan at this point. If the swingset is a symbol for the twins’ relationship, then the events that unfolded when they were teenagers (sabotage, abandonment) hurt the image of their relationship in Stan’s mind more than it did for Ford. Ford abandoned Stan because he had a more fortuitous future ahead of him than staying in NJ with his family; Stan didn’t have that same opportunity, so the act of Ford leaving for college shattered Stan’s image of their relationship more than it did for Ford. Alternatively, it’s possible that the swingset in Stan’s mindscape is fixed once Ford returns in S2E11. We never got a chance to see it after S1E19, apart from one room in the series finale. Nor did we see Ford’s mindscape before he returns. It’s a shame we never got to see the mindscapes of Dipper and Mabel; the closest we get is Mabelland, but that has the caveat of being completely controlled and shaped by Mabel’s fantasies such that she can block out and rewrite her painful memories (as first shown by her first summer crush, the Yes Definitely Absolutely guy, checking off all three boxes).
@@sophiasmileI also don’t think it’s fair to say Ford “abandoned” Stan. Stan has absolutely NO case for being equally as upset as Ford. Using the logic that Ford abandoned him simply by trying to achieve his own goals is the same thing a narcissist would say to their victims.
@@littlemoth4956 Stan actually kinda does have a case. His one mistake got him disowned by his family and forced him to try to fix everything. He was alone for most of his teenage life through adulthood and just wanted to talk to his brother. Yet the one time Ford decides to let Stanley back in, its to tell Stanley to take his stuff and go away forever, which makes Stan feel as if Ford has never cared about him if he just views him as a means to protect himself. Then he gets himself permenently burned in a fight and forces himself to gain an intellect on the same level as Ford to bring him back, and only wanted a thank you. He just wanted to be with his brother and felt abandoned by him
@@littlemoth4956 that's not what people are talking. It's the fact that I don't know he let his father throw out his brother into the streets with freaking nothing on him. Stanley didn't have a change of clothes when he got kicked out and the day he remembers him he only mails him to tell him to leave forever. At the end stanpey dedicated years of what should have been his life to freeing his brother. True, he unknowingly made way for Bill cipher and per what is described in the journal 3 sold in rl, ford had to do a lot to get back and ensure bill didn't cross the portal before him but probably never explaining this to stanley and just punching him in front of his grand neice and nephew wasn't a good idea. Stanford had nothing to forgive cause he avenged himself upon Stanpey for that accidentally broken science project by literally turning stanleys life to hell but I guess stanford didn't get his end till the literal end. To him their bond was mever fixed until he saw his brother mulling over sacrificing himself for mabel and dipper.
"You have no dominion in our world!" "Maybe not right now, but things change, Stanford Pines. Things. *CHANGE.*" that's so fucking intimidating and i love it
@@wojtekreliga3881 Definitely the latter that's poster worthy. It just fits the same vibe as a lone hero facing an intimidating opponent that's looking down on them.
This has been on TH-cam for 8 years and no one has pointed out the Ford sleeps with his glasses on. WHY!? THAT'S LIKE THE WORST FEELING EVER MAN ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU WAKE UP (ಥ∇ಥ)
It just hit me watching this, Bill mentions “Things *CHANGES* ” when talking about the wierdmagedon is coming and just before it actually arrives Mabel and Dipper argue about Dipper leaving her and mentioning “things *CHANGES* Mabel which makes Mabel desperate to make summer last longer which ends with bill destroying the rift between the worlds
Yep. I wish Disney’s new movies today had villains like Bill, or like in their older movies like Scar, Cruella de Vil, or Maleficent. I don’t think it’s easy making a good villain though, but I still wish more villains like this were still a thing, and also that the story doesn’t end with “Ohhh he’s just misunderstood, and he is sad and traumatized, let’s forgive him and become friends with him.”
i like how bill had literally no reason to do this other than to fuck with ford
Ayo?

I wouldn't say he's forgiven him, per se...but he's definitely more upset about how messed up their relationship has become than he's letting on
