One thing I love about Scott’s videos is that they seem low-budget and kind of unprofessional at a glance, then you look a bit under the surface and find out just how much effort is put into making them absolutely perfect.
That's what so speshal about Scott. He puts so much work on every little detail just for some people to see it
Yes I spelled special like that on purpose
Hero I literally just randomly found your comment
The thing is, Scott doesn't spend a ton on his production week to week, but he's making enough that when it comes to the moments he needs it, he can really invest in a project. The main reason we don't notice is because the love doesn't change week to week.
His stuff is what I like to call "casually uncasual". It's not mega professional, but it's definitely something big and packed, PACKED with potential and great production.
just think of the budget on the virtual boy episode
"You don't need sex cuz this is better anyways
Stupid nintendo games!"
A line has never resonated with me more from any song.

Thanks for having me play on this :D
It’s insaneinthecelophane!
The collab i didnt know I needed!
ma man!
Dude you did amazing!
I KNEW I HEARD YOU
Scott's gotten so much more comfortable with his singing voice, I'm really proud of him for having been able to finally master the music scenes. Phenomenal.
Same!! So proud of him :D
Not only is it impressive how there were loads of people able to make a small cameo in Borderline Forever, it's incredible how many people there were to work on the music to make sure the video really felt special
I love hearing the Breakout motif snuck into certain parts of the song as well, really enjoy it when songs in Scott The Woz specials do it at least once
Where is the motif?

Borderline Forever really is one of, if not the best youtube videos ever
ngl, I think borderline forever beat revenge of the sith AND avengers endgame for my favorite movie of all time, despite the fact that it's the movie equivalent of a shitpost.
yeah for real, there's very few youtube videos that match it in effort and quality. The only other few I can think of are Detective Heart of America: The Final Freedom and Alpharad's Copypasta Theatre is up there as well.
@@averypatrick5279 to be fair the actual project of copypasta theater, as stated in the video, was planned in like a day. Borderline forever has animations, an original soundtrack, and i believe some claymations
@@yuga5075 well of course, but preparation time doesn't necessarily mean quality. The other video I mentioned most likely took more time to create than Borderline Forever, but I'd still rank Borderline Forever above it.
@@GamingWithCalvin1 finally, someone else who says it’s unironically their favorite movie of all time.

"I shouldn't dwell."
- Me, leaving a reply
I’ve had this song stuck in my head for the past few days. Very good work and I really like the way you put the “Breakout” leitmotif in some of the parts of the song.
Out of curiosity, where is the Breakout motif? I can't hear it, but maybe I'm just focusing right.

Now that is some subtle foreshadowing...
Will we be getting an instrumental version?
That heart from Nicholas is telling...
I know a lot of these people, including The Game Brass guys and Hana, but Insaneintherain really caught me off guard for some reason.
I was so delighted to see him, his stuff is great and Borderline Forever feels like that much cooler of a collab with him being part of the music
It’s amazing how Scott the Woz is universally liked by so many different people
His humor is just not for me.
The love and care that went into making this music is f***ing gex
I'm a little disappointed that Terry's, Target Employee's, Rex's, and Jeb's parts were left out here, ngl.
It's only part of the video not the song
@@dalemurman I consider them part of the song because, while being entirely spoken word, they correspond to lines of the melody and rhyme with both Scott and each other.

Hey i know these guys from the paper mario concert!
They knew that the "I'm on a quest" was so satisfying that they added it to the montage.
Amazing, as a huge Scott The Woz fan and technically indirectly a huge fan of your music this is one of the best tracks I've heard from you and Scott
this is probably my favorite part of borderline forever
I need to get a sequel. Borderline Forever was a MASTERPIECE
Thank you so much for inviting me to record the piccolo part, was so much fun!!!
Thank you so much for bringing me on to play Clarinet for this! It was a pleasure and it turned out amazing :)
I swear if the line "There's a solution for all that pollution dilutin' your brain" was delivered just slightly better it'd the most fire bar in any Scott song, like he doesn't sing it badly but you can hear the rush.
So many wonderful friends!! This is such a fun tune and beautifully orchestrated, congrats on such a great feat!
I can confirm, as an Australian, 'Coles' does not sell stupid Nintendo games.
I wish
Scott is talking about Kohl's, but suuuuure.
Thank God I was awake at 4am
It would be cool to also see Scott recording his voice for the song. 😁 This was wonderful! I love these types of songs and would love to understand them enough to create one some day. Great work!
Sorry if I burst your bubble but a lot of vocals are recorded bit by bit. They record a bit and then stop then record more. This way there is no wear on the voice and there is no breathing noises in the audio. It would be cool to see though
@@Fireblazer-ly3od not exactly. yes in final production you might take different bits from separate parts of recording to have the best sounding overall piece but some artists will go through and sing the whole piece. Breathing can be cut out pretty easily nowadays or programs to record will have a noise gate. But your option also does happen sometimes.
@@chipbannatyne good to know
@@Fireblazer-ly3od thank you for the information. :) I already knew that, though, as I'm a music teacher and also produce music. When I say that I'm trying to understand, I'm talking about the different sounds/instruments/harmonies/melodys that make this specific type of music. I want to gather enough money to buy an orchestral VST to produce something like this, one day. When I talked about seeing Scott recording, I meant some clips spread across this edit.
But you were nice, trying to inform me, so thank very much! :)
@@CronicasVideojogos I’m sorry man I didn’t know
This song encompasses the best parts of Scott. Humor, production value, and stupid Nintendo games.
When you say “stupid Nintendo games”, are you saying that Nintendo games are bad? He could have used a word with less negative connotations than “stupid”.
It's my last day of school and I'm just sitting in class trying not to sing this
1:08 is that a Banjo-Kazooie?!
should we expect to see "Might as Well" and the reprise of this song soon?
The best part of this song is the choir singing _Pac n' Rollllll_
Man id love to get the sheet music for this song
1:10 Was that a flippin’ Banjo Kazooie motif!?
Thank you so much for having me in this!!
I'm 100% sure Scott is a younger AVGN
Its almost as if this was made for someone who doesn't own sonic Jam
Borderline Forever songs are all great!
Shotout to gabe for playing like 5 instruments at once
So charming. Reflects what the whole show is and represents
Hey, I recognize some of these incredibly talented musicians from the Line Them Up Concert!
Woah didn’t expect to see Carlos in here!
2:20 I love this bit
I never knew Carlos was a part of this! :O
oh god, you got the blue border too?! oh no!!

“As long as I’m not having sex”
“You didn’t tell me this was f*cking gex”

Legit trying to sing these, failing miserably.
I memorized it and now i am questioning my existence :)
I wish this was on spotify :(
hey...
It is
Clicked as fast as I could
god im begging you to put this on spotify
Closing In is obviously a masterpiece but this is the one I always end up coming back to. Despite being a song just to setup how great everything is only to make everything not great it reminds me of why I like gaming and Scott's videos so much. Great job you guys.
Absolutely brilliant!
Absolutely fantastic
This has been on a loop and in my head all week.
I wish I, too, had a copy of Fling Smash to play every single day
You guys did a killer job on this song, bravo
You have no idea how many times I’ve listened to this
This is great! Good job 👏
my personal favorite from the special!
Y'all did not need to go this hard and make the song slap as much as it does but god am I so glad you did
THIS IS A LITERAL MASTERPIECE
Kudos to all the musicians who took part, this is amazing!
This song has quickly become one of my favorites! THIS is how content should be made, with care!
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for big band musical numbers, and this is no exception. Scott’s and Nickolas’s vocals and lyrics are amazing and hilarious, and the instrumentation of the entire song is amazing (especially how you incorporate the Scott theme, it’s always there but it’s always great to see how it’s implemented). Everyone played amazingly and everything sounds great. I think this may be one of my favorite Scott special songs just cause it’s so happy and catchy. Great job to everyone involved and thank you for the song about stupid Nintendo games.
that one dislike is from the blue border
Favorite Scott The Woz song by far
Y'all are all talented! I love show tune fast-paced music and this really is my strong suit!!
Man i love this its such good music
Absolute masterpiece.

You are one of the reasons this is my favourite episode of Scott the Woz.
No offence to him but Gabe Valle looks like a randomly generated Mii
Can’t wait to listen to this on tv!
BANGER
I wish Scott had a recording in the booth it sounded like he had so much fun singing this
Masterpiece
I KNEW IT. Carlos IS in it!! Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolute banger
You'd be my actual hero if you posted the instrumental to this I've been wanting to cover it SO badly it's such a fun song
I love this song! It’s very good!
This hits different
I CAN’T GET OVER HOW GOOD THIS SOUNDS MY LORD
This is my favorite piece of music that has come out of Scott series. Thank you for sharing!
i think i'm addicted to this song
You see this, THIS is why I love Scott
This song is dangerously catchy
this better play before nintendos e3
I wish this were on Major Streaming Services
This my favorite song
This is easily my favorite song rn.
Doing an animated version of this with 30 animators planned to join in. And I'm pretty excited since this song slaps.
I thought this was a fun song until the guy who owns sonic jam popped up randomly!?
Now that is a good song.
Now i have to reupload my cover of stupid Nintendo Games thanks nick aaaaa
