I think it sounds like 3D world credits theme cause:
-Fast paced 12 bar opener
-A section with sax solo and small backing
-A section again but with multiple saxes and brass hits
-B section with large brass parts with sax responses
-2 solo sections with Small piano and improv
- final section with main theme and fast sax lines + super high brass ending
And it was used as a template

If I'm correct, that's because the chord movements both involve going around the circle of fifths in order. Very neat way to cadence and/or end a piece
@@balk_U1 I know that the one in this piece is essentially a 3 6 2 5 1 in B. But this piece is in F. Making it a Tritone sub of sorts. But in jump up superstar it ends on a b2 chord. So it’s not the same but it has the same effect

This is such a killer arrangement, it hits such a great balance between original material and the Breakout theme! Great players and tasty solos too, that line at 2:02 made me melt~
I unironically still listen a good 8 ish months later. Like I love jazz, games, and fixing things. 2/3 is awesome.
And yet, my highschool won’t let me join Jazz Band because I play bass clarinet. I can play trumpet, but I don’t own one.

This song is shockingly similar to the credits to Super Mario 3D World. It starts with mostly all of the instruments playing then goes into a sax soli. Then a part with low brass with the melody. It shows how influential some of that music can be.
