Awesome puzzle iDventure!! To go along with what Chris said about including a magnifying glass…. Maybe you could incorporate one that is initially the camera lens.. Then could maybe be unlocked somehow…. Just an idea I wanted to throw out there to you.. Would love to hear your thoughts on that!! Again, absolutely incredible, stunning, brilliant, beautiful, and clever puzzle!! Truly love your work/creations!!
Thank you Chris for featuring this puzzle. Not sure if @IDventure is sponsoring you, but they should. We just backed the kickstarter because of your video.
@@billy675 the box Chris received is a prototype and the film is printed on the home printer, so the paint should not come off in the final version and all the details should be properly visible
Because of watching Chris' channel I ordered Captain Nemo Nautilus, Cambridge Labyrinth, Trial of Camelot AND Davy Jones Locker. Should be arriving in South Africa in the next couple of days. SUPER Excited !!
what a genius you have to be to not only imagine something like this, plan and combine the mechanisms, so that they don't get in each other's way but some still work together and then also to build it and put it together!!!
I find most of the laser cut wooden puzzles kind of delicate and fidgety. Like I'm not sure how hard to try and move something. Everything just kind of barely holding on. I mean I do understand how much cheaper they can be mass produced and sold over the custom hand built ones. I am a wood worker and enjoy beautifully made pieces with perfect joints and solid construction. Some of the custom woodwork puzzles out there are works of art ,and the prices do reflect that.
Have you seen the $8k sneaker puzzle made out of wood that chris has a TH-cam shorts of? It's definitely made by a very skilled wood worker but $8k sounds crazy to me.... am I wrong?
These ClueBoxes overall are surprisingly sturdy, the vast majority of the parts are held in place tightly, there’s no movement unless it’s intentional. However I will say with the Davy Jones Locker puzzle there’s a long wooden key that needs to be removed at one point and this can be pretty fidgety and delicate though particularly my own fault I managed to snap it after placing it back in the space the wrong way around and getting it stuck. Luckily it wasn’t too bad and I eventually after a LOT of effort managed to get it free and sort the small breakage that occurred due to twisting the key while still locked. It’s safely back in place the correct way around now. Though it’s very clear if you have the entire series of ClueBoxes that iDventure have refined the design each time, the latest versions are extremely well made and I couldn’t see any way to break it without excessive force which you shouldn’t ever be putting ANY puzzle under that type of stress. Additionally this one featured in the video is the first ClueBox Pro, in other words iDventure have pushed their development even further to create their most complex puzzle yet and so I expect the design and quality to also be within that Pro level.
When I first got this video on my YT page, I hadn't much time on my hands, but I immediately opened it in a new tab to watch it in the evening. I was full of anticipation the whole time, and it was definitely a beautiful puzzle and a great solve! Thank you for making these videos!
Back in 1994, I was hoping there would be some sort of game like this. I envisioned one that might start out on a game board, but would then take you to having to do actions and puzzles to solve, OUTSIDE of the gane board to complete the game, lol. When these kind of puzzles came out, I was super glad that others not only had the same sort of idea, they actually created them! Thanks Chris. Glad to see your spirit back 😊.
There’s loads of fun board games with elements that you play on outside the main board nowadays, not all are puzzle oriented though modern mechanics in these games are massively more satisfying and fun than any of the more basic roll throwing games of our childhood.
Such a cool puzzle (the fingerprint negative 🤯)- the amount of work and time that must go into creating one of these is mind boggling 😮. Great puzzle, great solve - cheers, Chris 🙏
I’m just gonna let you know that I have been watching for many many years and I and many others highly enjoy the content. I love how well you put your videos together and especially when they’re unedited. I’m in the middle of watching this video now and I love it so much. Never stop doing what you’re doing because you have such a big family here. Keep up the great work dude!! ❤
Note to self: If Jigsaw wants to kill me, find and kidnap Chris Ramsay so he can figure out the killer's tricks. It would take me weeks to figure this puzzle out...
No spoilers for me! I'll skip this one for the moment, but adding the video to my Watch Later list 😊 Excited to get my hands on this puzzle. I really loved the one about Schrödinger's cat and that other one that was on a nautical theme!
I did it! Somehow I managed to solve it even though I missed some puzzles. I never figured out that you could take that long piece out by pushing it fast. I still managed to see the little guys jumping up and down by tilting the box lot. Also the very first key you are supposed to to take out (the small arrow with the magnet) came loose during transport, but now I know where it's supposed to be stored.
Facinating. I gotta try one of those. You get a little rush every time you solve a part of the puzzle, because you go from frustration to satisfaction at the twist of a knob. Great video.
I watched this after solving it first myself and I must say I agree with your end verdict. But!... You really didn't do the puzzle with the guys on the back very well. It was so awesomely built with all the turning mirrors on the inside. Go ahead, put a light on the top, look in again and start turning the dails on the top. 😉 For the rest, awesome puzzle and really worth the money!
Amazing puzzle, impeccable solving skills! It looks so simple when Chris figures things out, yet I can't even imagine how difficult these are while solving. Great video!
Wow Chris there is a LOT going on at first glance just a minute into the video, that puzzle is filled with options. I bet a few red herrings as well, can't wait to see you break the code of Sherlock Holmes' Camera!! Super intricate!
Chris don’t take this as a negative, but I literally can’t sleep at night and when I watch your videos idk if it’s a combination of your voice and the music but it just but me to sleep. I throughly enjoy your videos because I’ll fall asleep to them and watch them again in the morning. I really don’t want you to take this as a negative. I’m just so appreciative of you for helping me.
Im usually not a big fan of the thin balsa wood style boxes as i feel like i may break them at any moment, but this was a pretty good one. Well done :)
0:30 I would love to buy these things if I could afford it but I understand completely why they cost so much. Another reason, that I enjoy Chris Ramsey doing these types of puzzles for me so thank you.😅
Just managed to solve mine, you skipped a few steps getting to the solve. Once you are looking at the clues to find the correct suspect for each crime, the dials all move mirrors so by looking through the peeking area you can see the correct symbol for each person, the panel though is a bit fiddly to remove. You also luckily managed to solve the little slider next to the viewfinder of the camera, the rings with the holes is used to help figure out the position of the two dials here which then allows the slider to move upwards enough to allow another slider to be pushed in that then releases the viewfinder section.
Upon seeing the eye on the frame I assumed you had to look through the gap from turning the valve to see a hint/clue. One puzzle you did a time before had an eye to show you where to look for progress.
Love your videos! With these puzzle boxes it would sometimes be great, however, if you checked the intended solution afterwards to lay out the actual idea behind the steps you forced yourself through. Understanding how the arrows are connected to the clock as well as that there is more to the puzzle with the eye and the little mirrors would really show how idventure guides you through the solution process in a delightfully subtle way. Looking forward to the next one! ❤️🤘🏼 Cheers
Lmao. The piece from 16:15 was on the table a whole 2 minutes before you mentioned it. Not only was it on the table, it looks as if you laid it out perfectly to be seen. Lol
This is the only idventure puzzle video i watched so far, and i can only hope, that i forget it as soon as possible to be able to have the best experience when i solve it.
Great video! My first time doing one of these puzzles. This puzzle however has a big flaw. I was able to maneuver the camera lens and open the box without going through any of the puzzle. It works like the old bicycle chain locks. Which I know how to open those locks. Works the same way and I open the main box right away. Very easy.
Also, the first time doing one of these puzzles. So I had no idea that I had already finished the puzzle when I took off the lens. So this video was a great help
Just thought of buying it yesterday and came out without buying. Today you're reviewing it Sir 😄 so can't we put it back together once we took it apart ?
Is it just me or he accidentally skipped the suspect part by just aligning stuff at random? Looks like it was supposed to be 3 mirrors with consequtive solve, but...
I feel like this puzzle should have come with a letter explaining some things… like from Sherlock to the inventor, requesting a camera that would solve crimes…. TBH, I fully expected the camera to pop out a “Polaroid”, or for that matter, be an actual working camera.
NIce one! My wife and I became totally addicted to your channel. As a woodworker and designer myself I am itching to design a puzzle box for you but the P.O. box issue you mentioned is a big hurdle for international shipping. Any chance you have other channels to receive these?
I just got this and completed it. Was curious about one part so came here to see if it's explained. It wasn't haha. You also were meant to use of the mirrors to identify each suspects crime symbol. You got diamond then skipped past the other 3 lol. You also missed the bottom puzzle clues needing rings lined up to match the lines and dots pattern on the front and somehow just landed on the correct combo to release the front. 😅 .
My wife got me this, is brilliant. Unfortunately 4 me i accidentally got the lens out very early, had to figure out how to put it back to unlock it in order. Still enjoyed it alot.
Okay I was fully intending to watch through this as a new fan, been watching your backlog and videos ever since the Japan tour.... but this one was such a good price I've backed it too so I'm delaying this video until I've had a crack.
We are always glad to be featured on this channel, great puzzlenig from your side as usual 🎉

I don't know if it's just me or what, but I find these vids so wonderfully satisfying. Like a meditation almost.
Just you.
For real super chill, love his epic intro’s too.
Watching Chris do his puzzle solving, does put you at ease. And it is amazing to watch his mind work.

That was so much fun! What a cool puzzle, and a plus that it was Sherlock Holmes themed!
At 26:20 luckily you can take the lens out by random. Actually you still have a dot clue to solve. Still a good job
No spoilers for me! I'll skip this one for the moment, but adding the video to my Watch Later list 😊
Excited to get my hands on this puzzle. I really loved the one about Schrödinger's cat and that other one that was on a nautical theme!

Changing the switches on top moved the mirrors, you were supposed to set them to match each suspect in turn, and it would reveal different symbols
I am happily waiting for this puzzle so I will watch this video once I have a crack at the puzzle. Love your content as always!
That was an awesome puzzle, really nice too…
Glad you’re feeling better Chris…🤗

So the final clue is a film negative... and when you solve that you get a compliment.
You literally turned a negative into a positive.
A real work of art, very nice puzzle wow.
So much going on with this puzzle. Great work sir! Another great vid! 👍 ❤

Holy crap, this one is amazing, but it's a lot to look at all at once. Putting it back together looks like a nightmare, looks a little delicate.
should be watsons camera since Holmes solved the mystery and Watson documented his work

Great job, and I love the puzzle..
LOVE this puzzle! So cool!!
This was such a cool solve. Agree with what others said- very meditative to watch your videos.

How can Chris have millions of subs but relatively low views? He has to be shadow banned. Too bad. Dude deserves better reach! Keep it up man
