    Think is one of my favorite puzzles you're ever done on this channel. To me, it even beats the crazy-expensive, super-elaborate ones too. The theme, the mechanisms, lore, everything. And that bullet tool...come on! So satisfying and brilliant. Thanks for sharing. Absolutely loved it.

    What’s funny about this puzzle - at about 12:10 the news clipping reads - witnesses claim one of the men had a missing fingertip - you on your right hand have a fingertip tattooed on your wrist. Funny!

    I like at the start after describing the puzzle he's like "and that's all we're given.." then it hits him and he says again in a more perplexed tone "and that's ALL..WE'RE GIVEN..." hahaha awesome puzzle box, love the detail!

    The thing I love about this puzzle is it doesn't feel destroyed once it's complete. Most of the puzzles you solve, I look at and think there's no way I'd ever get that back together. This one doesn't look that difficult to get it back to step 1. Nice solve and brilliant puzzle.

  • @medea27

    This was perfection. 👌 The background music was spot-on... the pace was perfect & your excitement was palpable. And that masterpiece of a puzzle. I used to work in banks with huge, 100+ year-old steel safes and there's something indescribable about the feeling that comes from spinning the combos, turning the lever & pulling open a monstrous metal door... I'm beyond impressed that Jesse's puzzle evoked some of that same wonder & joy as I was watching you find all those hidden mechanisms. Just brilliant! 💜

    THAT was incredible. I’ve never seen a puzzle that’s so beautiful, so clever, so well themed. My goodness. This dude is a genius.
    Also, the scene you set with the intro, the outfit, the $100 bills, handcuffs, etc. really added to the scene! It looked incredible with the puzzle box and the aces spread about. 😍 All I can say is “WOW” over and over again.

    I honestly thought "palm the ace" meant there would be some sort of heat reveal on the card as you held it. Such a good puzzle with a lot of solves that totally stayed consistent with the theme. No part of it seemed disjoint. Really well done and nice job solving, Chris.

Nice remedy and amazing puzzle

    Not trying to be insulting here, just informative... that "six shooter barrel" is called a cylinder, and the thing in the middle that loos like a star is called the ratchet, which is what rotates the cylinder to another chamber when the trigger gets pulled. Very cool puzzle and excellent video.

    I believe the remaining bar was the spring guide for the door that is opened by the bullet. The other posts are for holding the paper in and matching aesthetic to the other side and the spring mechanism. As you can see the door slides up over the remaining post but does not remain open without pressure being applied by the bullet on the release or your finger holding it up.

    • @maztecs
      @maztecs ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Those posts aren't intended to be moved. I have the puzzle. All puzzle designers have to deal with the issue of people solving a puzzle in unintentional ways, and we as solvers sometimes just push through and open things in ways that were never contemplated by the maker.

    This is one of your episodes that I had to skip . . .and skip . . . and skip. I had this puzzle ordered and didn't want to spoil myself. I split my puzzle budget regularly between Jesse Born, Stickman Puzzles, and Kagen Sound puzzles, with Jesse being the newest to the field. All amazing masters of making puzzles. I finally got mine, did it, and I agree 100% this is an amazing must have puzzle. It is a piece of art, beautifully crafted, heavy, and the clues fit together nicely. Now that I have solved mine, I came to watch how you did yours (and to see which of us took more time :p), and the big difference is that I also tried to drop the side bars, but mine were fully immobile (he fixed that it appears). Plus the bullet's clue clearly led me to the combination, without the extra fuss you went through. However, as a result, the interior newspaper really just told a story for me and did not add more clues to the puzzle, and mentally I never connected the ticket to the train as I had already figured out that the train panel must be movable -- in part because the front door's lock actually connects to the train panel and blocks it from moving as well.
    Just a beautifully well-crafted puzzle all the way around. I hope Jesse keeps making great puzzles for a long time, he has my credit card on speed dial.

    I’m being unrealistic with this, and I know it, but I think it would’ve been cool if one card randomly had a key, or the word key stamped on it, or a spade hole punched in it. Everything else could’ve remained exactly the same but I feel like your idea to check the deck for the outlier or something off was spot on and when you didn’t find anything it was a bit of a let down and all part of the rollercoaster. Eventually people will likely figure it out but I like puzzles that reward thinking outside the box, or in this case, inside the (card) box.
