Hi Paul. Enjoying the video's. Not sure if you know this or not but you don't have to drive to the dealers. You can do it in the main menu. Even if it is a Sunday and they are closed. Keep up the great video's.
In America the rule is that your vehicle must come to a complete stop before the white line, but in terms of ticketing you will only get one if you go completely through a red light. (regarding 8:55)
+MrManuel1329 I love the old Mack RB and ones with the offset cabs. I remember when I was little riding in one of the offset trucks with my dad. He drove silage for the farm he works on
16:11 I lay flat on my board and paddle, out, maybe that's what ur saying, but I'm always on my board unless I fall off, get back on, paddle back out, also skate boards I think not like roller blades and stuff.
The kinked tanks are single tanks that carry a single product an are meant to be drained from the middle. Rear drain tanks are strait an divided tanks are strait.
Hey Squirrel loving your American Truck Simulator series I love your commentary it just makes me smiles and chuckle at the same time hope you have a great weekend mate
8:00 In California Technically according to the law on the book your Bumber has to be behind the first white line, however most cops don't do anything as long as you make an effort to stop at the light, but red light camera's pick up if you trigger the sensor. But yes it can get hot, we have death valley in california, and most of south california is a dessert edit* Death Valley's Furnace Creek holds the record for the highest reliably recorded air temperature in the world, 134 °F (56.7 °C) on July 10, 1913
Yes the traffic lights are timed in what is called coordination. This is done in a grid system city (like NYC for example) where signals that are close to each other are set a few seconds apart (it looks like a domino effect in action). It is a neat process. Though most DOT's (Department of Transportation) have them set up on closed networks (yup just like computer networks) where throughout the day they can change the timings on the fly instead of pre programming them (controllers) like they had to a couple of decades ago. All of this is based on volume density. It's a heck of a lot of Algebra.
Maybe 42 Print actually prints the labels for the bottles, that's a common thing here in the U.S., the brewery makes the beer, a printer will make the labels, and then a bottling company will fill the bottles and place the labels.
As far as feelings about rain...depends on who you are, particularly if you are a farmer. Many farmers have crops that are finnicky about how much water they get. Cherries especially.
tires over the white line on the initial stop will get you a traffic violation fairly often. You are welcome to and encouraged to pull forward to be able to see after stopping at the white line though.
as a biker, i often end up over the line after filtering to position myself safely. i believe the fine is more targeted at those intending to progress through the junction as oppose to just being a little bit over. also the looking for a return job, i think its differant for ats, im not sure if it is any city or just ones you own a garage in, but i have deftinately seen my drivers going to several locations before heading home
Did you noticed, at the minute 4:15, that the convertible is with the roof up? This could be due to the critic of convertibles on the road during rain periods. It looks like the mod you installed also includes a different sound for when you engage a trailer. 24:07 you were saying that you got all red lights - which is true, and I noticed that - but then you stop at a green light. I am seeing myself doing that exact same thing, out of habit :)
the laws for the lines are at red lights you have to stop at or before the lines, unless your turning right. and if your turning right and its a red, you stop at the light, and then you can legally pull up into the crosswalk to see if you can go, so long as no pedestrians. most people go a few feet past the line if they going straight though. depending on the street. also, say your at a stop sign and theres a solid line. if theres no trucks turning (lines are there for if a truck is turning the stopped car gives it enough room to turn) you can pull past the line so you can see if its clear, thats mostly in northern states though due to the snowbanks but not just northern states use it.
We Californians love it when it rains, especially now, when we're in a drought! Also, yes, it does get very hot in California; Death Valley holds the world record for the hottest temperature, 134°F.
It was 116 September, some places got up to 120. Maybe more. It was absolutely insane. Now, November, only 2 months later, it is reaching 30 degrees at night. How does that happen? It's almost a 100 degree difference.
la, nevada, and like texas during dry season it can get to like 120 F and i’m in the mid west were we get like couple feet of snow at like -5 F and hot summers at like 100 F
Definitely still gets hot in california, not so much humid but still hot. There are days that here in corona durring the summer you could see 105 to 110f, so 40.5 to 43c.
Your front tiers are fine because sometimes its hard to tell, especially if your in a truck like you are, its when your ENTIRE vehicle is in the cross walk that you can get a ticket
We liked it in California when it rained because the rain washes away all that smog and you get actual CLEAN AIR after, then its all back the next morning lol
I actually like the thing with hired drivers going back to the home city every time whether they have a job not. I didn't notice it when playing but it makes sense for me. You can work 24/7 as an owner or just the player but the people you hire have families and their own lives and after the job they need to go back. :) The best thing they can do is try to get a job on the way back.
In California you probably wouldn't get a ticket for going slightly into the crosswalk. If you were in the crosswalk and it affected a pedestrian you might get a ticket then. And California is full of both lovers and haters of the rain! I live in Fresno and were in a valley so we don't get any sea breeze, just a sitting valley of smog lol we mostly love rain because it pushes out the smog for a few days!
Just a theory, but i guess the kink in the toxic tankers i so you can clean them with steam without having to climb in. Oh, and it has to be the front wheels at the red light or else you could park halfway onto a crosswalk without getting a fine. Keep up the good work, love your videos and commentary :)
It's called a stop bar. Your front wheels should be behind it when stopped although police rarely if ever write tickets for the infraction at traffic lights. Have seen tickets for it at stop signs however.
21:11 - 21:30 lol it's funny how you were talking about a serious topic then all of a sudden you turned the attention to that bus I had to just instantly laugh at the "graphic detail" of the passengers XD
@Squirrel At roughly 14:00 even you had a bit about sense of humor at SCS. The little bit about the fellas standing around and only one working... where im from here in the states we've got a bit of humor that generally go with our state/city/county workers.. theres almost always 4 guys around, and only ever one working.. all the others are standing around, leaning on a spade or something.. that was one bit that caught my eye.. watching n the xbox at the moment.. good videos brother. take care
I have found with the changes they have made to the cops in the game you can now sit 3 or 4 miles per hour over the speed limit without getting a ticket.
I've been windsurfing before, I think that's a bit easier than surfing because I got the hang of it quite quickly, managed to cross a section between two bankings. which was fun. Have you ever tried windsurfing Squirrel?
Squirrel....You were wandering about your trucks position and the red light. The game hasn't changed. I got a ticket today for a red light violation and only my front wheels were just a little over the line. You just got lucky this time.
Definitely need turn lights at stop lights in this game. That way you can get about 6 cars through and not have to wait and lose out on jobs or be late.
The print shop probably doesnt make the beer.....they are probably skinning the trailers... lol and in canada, wheel over the line is a ticket if theres a ped crossing too, but very few cops seem to enforce it
Hi squirrel i am an american subscriber and have been subscribed since last year and i have to say thankyou for the amazing videos on Euro Truck and American Truck Simulators. Im looking up to the next videos in the future.
I'd say not many cops react to red light runs because we have cameras. I don't know exactly how they're programmed, but my friend's gotten flashed a couple times (it takes a picture and captures either your front or back license plate and then they mail you a ticket- no cops needed). There's a really crap one next to my work that has the stop line way back with a huge sign that says stop here before turning right but even if you do there's a 50/50 shot you'll get flashed anyway (I think because it has no way of really knowing whether you stopped there or just kept rolling). Stop signs I'd say it has to be back wheels over and you've kept going. If a cop sees that you genuinely tried to stop and just missed a bit I'd hope they'd let it go unless you were endangering people or something. Who knows though? American cops can be pretty awful sometimes.
What are those rails down the low side of the trailer? In North America I'm used to seein' the panels on the low side of the trailer which as I understand are to prevent a vehicle from getting underneath in the event of an accident and being driven over by the trailer.
Squirrel: I thought it would make sense when ETS came out to wait for the G23 to come down in price, which was around $200. Now, all I find on Amazon is 3rd party sellers wanting $400 and up, and other models like G27, G29, etc. Worst part is Amazon won't help you if it is not their product, even though they sell it. I am disabled so I don't need the pedals but would like the wheel and shifter. I only ask since you seem to endorse gaming products. If you have the time to respond, I would like to know (1) What is the difference in the other models from the old G23, and (2) Where can I find one? I don't have a car and don't live anywhere near a store big enough to know what they are. I would pay a fair price, but are the others better? Now it works to use the mouse, keyboard, and wired Xbox controller, but shifting is easier for me if I use the Xbox bumpers, something I prefer to save for the turn signal. Anybody have an constructive suggestions?
+Terry Bellowes At the moment wheels are outrageous. The G29 is almost the exact same wheel is the G27. The sensors were upgraded, thats about it. The G25 was weaker parts but pretty much the same thing. Being disabled my self I have been looking for a good cheap wheel an have decided that there is not one right now. It looks to be $400 or junk an nether is worth it for me right now. I will have to stick with my Xbox controller an cyborg flight stick for now till things calm down.
Can anyone tell me why is the "one way" sign is half way in to the ground? 12:42 and 12: 55 "One Way" Sign half way in the ground. Is it suppose to be normal road sign height.
pretty damn relaxing stuff. now, with the ai drivers... do they actually 'drive'? like you could possibly find them on the road and stalk them? or are their trips and jobs all just figured on a spread sheet in the background? as for the 'kinked' trailers, can loads be "pressurized" when traveling on the road? maybe it's to allow the trailer to have a more general purpose... allowing different types of product (liquid/dry) to be hauled? anyhow, keep on truckin'! game on!
even if u get there with 3 mins to spare it could still expire before u hook up. the time doesnt stop ticking down til ur actualy hooked up. lost a few jobs cause of that. the trailor was still there but refused to hookup then vanished on me lol. UK is actualy in the same climate zone as Norway. were kept warm by the gulf stream bringing us the warmer weather. if the gulf stream weakens we will get a lot colder. its also whats making the ice caps melt. its taking warm water from the equator to the arctic circle melting the ice. About 10k BC the UK was solid ice cause the gulf stream wasnt running then. the ice sheets went as far south as the Mediterranean. at that point no Atlantic ocean and N'America was joined to Europe. No North sea or English channel either. those flooded when the ice age started to end around 10k years ago. technicly were still coming out of the last ice age as ice ages lasts millions of years and the warm phase were in now usualy only last about 100k years. last warm period it was about 20C higher than now but that was before humans were around. lack of CO2 in the atmosphere caused a massive global warming as CO2 blocks the heat from the sun from burning everything. It also acts as a fire retardent stopping the oxygen from igniting and burning everything to a crisp on the planet. thats happened at least 7 times in the past. CO2 lvls r already below the safe lvl. yet the climate freaks want to reduce CO2 even more. to cool the planet down we need to increase CO2 not reduce it.
Miller Lite, not particularly 'good beer'. Besides the guy pulling parts off for maintenance there is another guy working, he scrubs off graffiti. The reason why no one is working on Sunday, hourly wage at time and a half overtime pay. Weather; You should try the middle part of the U.S.A. 35° C + and 75 or 80% humidity... hot, Hot, HOT!!!
Speedbumps actually do more harm then good. Think of any emergency services vehicle trying to get somewhere in a shopping center or mall eg an ambulance if someone has had a heart attack and they have to slow down.
+lindo jz They are all over the roads in my area in the suburbs and I've seen emergency service vehicles, sirens and lights having to slow down to go over them and it just doesn't seem right...because yeah, what if the guy dies or the fire expands or the bad guy causes more harm in the added up time the services lost in getting to them. Its not so bad if there are alternate routes to take, but even then if they have to take the long way round because of it.....
In the economy data.sii it lists the hire drivers having a 10% chance of not finding a job. You could mod it so there is a 100% they will always find a job but to some people that may feel like breaking the game.
Hi squirrel, American truck simulator looks great. Just looked at the Just Trains releases for ts2016 and noticed that they have just released the western main lines route which connects the entire line from Paddington to Cardiff, Exeter, Oxford and Bristol together in a big dlc release. Are you able to play it? Keep up your great videos, Cole Hodgkiss
At first, you might think a load of MIller Lite sent to FedEx might ruin the immersion. Then again, after seeing my last delivery from FedEx, I'd say the realism is spot on...
Yeah Las Islas Canarias...what a paradise...I´m from Madrid missing that sun and that weather....all day T-shirt!.!1000 times better the beer mod than the ink trucks hahahaha
dude... here im Brasil we normally, in cities that are closer to the equator line, temperatures are normally between 22 and 35 through all the year, if they are closer to the sea,
Talking about ice skating. 2 weeks before Christmas just gone I was ice skating with my girlfriend and got pushed over. Ended up snapping my shin in half snapping my ankle clean and snake my fibula. Had reconstructive surgery the next day and in surgery had to have a blood transfusion Warning to all. Don't ice skate ^.^
" But here. Every single ligh has caught me on red" Stops at a green light.
"Squirrel! Why you no pay attention!"
"I've hit every single red light," he says as he stops at a green light. lol 24:05
Nothing says America like hauling curtains in a Miller Light trailer from a print shop...?
The curtrains were Miller swag that was freshly printed with the logo there?
Hi Paul. Enjoying the video's. Not sure if you know this or not but you don't have to drive to the dealers. You can do it in the main menu. Even if it is a Sunday and they are closed. Keep up the great video's.

Yeah, sometimes you just are going too fast. Then you've gotta reverse 2 feet behind the line. No big deal though.
Mack Trucks need to make their way into this game.
+MrManuel1329 Bulldog Mack at that
+MrManuel1329 I love the old Mack RB and ones with the offset cabs. I remember when I was little riding in one of the offset trucks with my dad. He drove silage for the farm he works on

NA terms---speed hump vs speed bump. The speed hump lets you roll over them at the speed limit. Hump designed to make you almost stop
tires over the white line on the initial stop will get you a traffic violation fairly often. You are welcome to and encouraged to pull forward to be able to see after stopping at the white line though.

tip on u.s. heat, Florida 80 is almost as bad as Nebraska 100 because of humidity v. dry heat
finally after 3 days of wait i get to watch another one of our videos...... thanks!!!
If I'm not mistaken you can still visit the dealer even if it's closed through the dealer menu. Kinda stupid system but yeah, it works.
Would be kinda interesting to see you pick up some of those long distance jobs for bigger pay.
+MattHardy0 do you even listen to him? It doesn't make sense right now he needs daily jobs not journeys that will take 48 hours
+Jacob Pickerin No man I obviously don't listen to him, I just put the video on and press mute.
Shame Jeff
My job involves constantly trying to pull something off machines so I have little time to listen to anything.
Your explanation of what first-time surfing is like was pretty accurate.
Squirrel, you should go to the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky. It's the biggest trucking convention in the western hemisphere.
The 42 Prints probably only has beer trailers because they might print the logo onto the bottles or make the bottles too
my guess about "less filling" is that the ingredients are not just to "fill up the product" so it's more about the taste giving it a deeper value
In California you probably wouldn't get a ticket for going slightly into the crosswalk. If you were in the crosswalk and it affected a pedestrian you might get a ticket then. Moved from cali for Minnesota, me going out side in the mornings during winter, "ITS SNOWING SIDEWAYS!"
welcome too the wonderful winter tundra of Minnesota!! :D
21:11 - 21:30 lol it's funny how you were talking about a serious topic then all of a sudden you turned the attention to that bus I had to just instantly laugh at the "graphic detail" of the passengers XD
@9:30 Yes, we love the rain.
yes the usa is very big, we have different varieties of weather all at once, even from state to state, temperature and precipitation

I just Hauled Fertilizer from Cal. Sacramento to Minniemucca NV. of a Income of $5,300 banged into a truck but still got my pay :D

I've waited waited. Finally. Love these videos...
Hi squirrel,
American truck simulator looks great. Just looked at the Just Trains releases for ts2016 and noticed that they have just released the western main lines route which connects the entire line from Paddington to Cardiff, Exeter, Oxford and Bristol together in a big dlc release. Are you able to play it?
Keep up your great videos,
Cole Hodgkiss
I did enjoy the Episode! Till Next Time, keep her between the ditches. Sunny side up, greasy side down!
Think about Cyprus it can get up to 40 degrees there and it's surrounded by ocean
At first, you might think a load of MIller Lite sent to FedEx might ruin the immersion. Then again, after seeing my last delivery from FedEx, I'd say the realism is spot on...
i wanna see volvo, international, mack and frieghtliner trucks!
Yeah Las Islas Canarias...what a paradise...I´m from Madrid missing that sun and that weather....all day T-shirt!.!1000 times better the beer mod than the ink trucks hahahaha
dude... here im Brasil we normally, in cities that are closer to the equator line, temperatures are normally between 22 and 35 through all the year, if they are closer to the sea,
I tried the Fontain trailer mod but tryn to get them out of the coastal mining pick ups is near impossible
Talking about ice skating. 2 weeks before Christmas just gone I was ice skating with my girlfriend and got pushed over. Ended up snapping my shin in half snapping my ankle clean and snake my fibula. Had reconstructive surgery the next day and in surgery had to have a blood transfusion
Warning to all. Don't ice skate ^.^
Hopefully the next video is tomorrow or the day after, not a week apart.
Pulling a Miller Light trailer from a print shop... hmm, maybe it's just the labels that go on the bottles?? ^_^
+bigwillywgl or the case for the six-pack :D
There is a mod called drivers returns with job. Haven tested it i ets2 myself but it should work
SCS did say something about your employees does better if they have better trucks. Dont remember when i heard it.
the law for red lights over here are your entire vehicle has to be past the walkway or curb, depending on wich state you are in.
No one likes a grammer nazi.
+Cessna152ful damn, that's really forgiving.... here in italy if you're 25 cm past the line with any part of your vehicle it's a ticket
Wow if you pass over the curb to much you can get a ticket at a red light!
Cessna152ful to get a ticket? no if you're car goes over any part of that white line before making a full stop you will get ticketed
Squirrel I was waiting forever for this video to come out but other then that keep u other awesome work

+Jdog Schu That makes it easier to add mods to the game right? Or....what? Because it's extremely easy already.
Yeah for steam players it'll be so much easier for us
+Jdog Schu for steam it's just as easy
Really wish they would introduce a financial breakdown sheet so you could see where your money has gone, including fuel and fines
Exactly why I gave up trailer mods... they never made sense as to what you delivered to where.
Yeah Texas is ridiculous. Last week it was up in the 90's with heat index in the triple digits.
Death Valley in California is about as hot as it gets in the US.
