I've listened to all 176 episodes (some multiple times) Nate telling Aaron "he could do a cannonball to start us off" might be the line that has made me laugh the hardest, The visual of Dusty and Nate on a starter block and Bates holding his stopwatch on side of pool with Aaron doing a cannonball is absolutely gold!! Episode was HOT!
Honestly Nate dropped some serious wisdom around the 2:04 mark. It’s easy to theoretically care about civilization a million years ago, it takes much more to deeply care and help with the problems of real people in our own lives and communities, but that’s what ACTUALLY matters. Nate’s a really good person.
Nate, you are on fire today. I have family members and friends who deal with crippling anxiety. Asking them to care about a million years down the road is crushing when they barely have the strength to deal with today. The millennial generation is awesome and I am mother of two who fit that category but dealing with the far distant future and insurmountable problems is killing them. My doctor told me we are engineered to care for our village and not the world. Let's start with taking care of our village.
Love the swim contest! I’m 63 and raced competitively for 10 yrs. Won 50 yard freestyle when I was 14 . Time 25.42 Returned to train for a year and won my age group at 55. Time 29.56 . I was faster at 8 yrs old. I quit immediately. Dusty, be a cornhole champ . Brunson burner is a bowler. Aaron def a long snapper. We watch a podcast everyday. If you do do it. I’ll race ya. Frances Wakayama Carmody. It’s Japanese pronounced Wa-Ka-Ya-Ma. And Car-Ma-Dee. Thanks Brian, I know how hard you work putting the show together.
I was thinking they could do like a NateLand triathlon.. swimming race, maybe something at the driving range, then top it off with a Krispy Kreme challenge.. to level out all the exercise
Nate, in the middle of a serious rant about people focusing on the present problems of the world, and Dusty (in spectacular fashion) says, "Let's pay homeless people to look for Bigfoot!" Priceless!!!
My wife and I took a trip to Scotland and Ireland this past spring and visited loch Ness. Taking a tour boat onto the lake, we were able to watch the boat scan the lake with radar sensors in real time. A few years back they scanned an object in the middle of the lake around 30 meters (16.4 fathoms) long. It attracted global news. Shoutout to Bop-It for keeping the convo around Nessy goin!
Nate: All the people in the world aren't dumb, but we get talked to like we're dumb. Also Nate: I want it to be dumbed down to me. Also also Nate: This is supposed to be a dumb, fun podcast. Classic Nateland and why we love this podcast.
I’m an uneducated, blue collar guy with slight dyslexia ( I even had to look up how to spell dyslexia). So what I’m saying is I’m not that bright. But listening to this particular podcast and how you guys can’t read and say words incorrectly and ramble on about the dumbest stuff makes me feel like a genius and I appreciate that. Lol. You guys are the best. I love you all and this podcast.
Listening to Nate making a passionate case for how to solve the world’s largest problems while wearing a Ketchup hat is peak Nateland and I’m here for it!
I have experienced the same thing that Dusty is talking about regarding family dishes and Thanksgiving. My grandmother passed away a few years ago, and even though she taught family members how to make her chicken and dumplings and her dressing they just ain’t the same.
So funny when Dusty took his hat off to mess with his hair. Butter Biscuit, Aaron & Nate looked captivated. Maybe Nate was right about him blending into the women's swimming team. Top 3 best episodes. Keep it up guys
Dressing > Stuffing. I'll die on that hill. Dusty, I started making the dressing a couple years ago after my grandmother-in-law became too old to assist with the cooking. I use her recipe. I will be happy to share it. It is dope. It is moist. It is flavorful.
Nate’s hat slipping further and further to the side throughout the episode as he is increasingly pressed about the silliest issues is hilarious. Love you all, I listen to every episode multiple times :)
I have no idea how y'all recovered after zucchini penny (penne). I had tears in my eyes watching Aaron react and Dusty trying to keep going. That's why awkward wins the day!
Dusty's observation about family dishes touched me. Here is a dressing recipe for you. My daughter and I make a triple batch for Thanksgiving and Christmas. 1.5 cups chopped celery, 1 cup chopped onion, 2 Tablespoon fresh sage, 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon peopper. 2 sticks butter, 1 loaf Italian bread. Cube the loaf of Italian bread, Heat butter in skillet (cast iron heats most evenly), saute celery and onions until soft, add 1/3 of the cubed bread and mix. Scoop cooked mixture into a bowl with seasonings and rest of bread. Mix well. Refrigerate until ready to use. Then bake in covered pan at 350 for 20 min, uncover and bake for 5-10 more and enjoy!
This ep was insanely hectic. It was great. Maybe the best one yet. Love the boys getting stuck in and debating. Laughed out loud during work. Thanks guys
All Nate needs to do is place a call to the Vanderbilt Athletic Department. I'm sure the Commodores teams would be happy to host all four of you for a practice competing in your chosen events.
Wow! My 5th comment on the podcast and the 2nd time Nate said my name sounds like I’m a wildcard that left the family business. While there’s no family business to have left, I am a left-handed middle child who enjoys the road less traveled. Probably why I love this podcast of 4 guys who all live differently than most. Always a fan! Keep up the great work!
imagine you're on a drunken binge where you fall asleep outside a bar, then you wake up on a plane over the Congo with a parachute, a spear and a camera.
This is my favorite podcast because it covers the importance of recording Thanksgiving family recipes and also tackles hard hitting issues like homelessness with logical solutions such as “Let’s have them look for Bigfoot” all in the same episode.
The way Nate imagines the life of people according to their names is so funny! I love meeting people and deciding what kind of hallmark movie character they would be 😂
I'm going to tell my grandchildren I was an eyewitness to when the great NOSO was initiated. I'm already tearing up imagining their reactions. Thank you, Nateland, for giving me a reason to have grandchildren
I'm with Dusty. The bygone era of the older ladies at church having their "go to" recipes that everyone wanted the recipe for seems to be long gone. Those women planned weeks ahead & even stressed over their church potluck items. It was like semester finals to them. Now most gals run into Sam's Club right before sunday school and grab a tub of chicken salad and some oreos and expect the same credit. There's still some fine church ladies out there but as Dusty said, they're a dying breed.
If you want to communicate with Holly, you may need to train her to use a communication board. There’s a dog named Bunny on the net that is rather proficient.
You're right! I'm in my 40's and trying to collect those good ol' recipes and serve up something made with love and tradition each time. It's an act of love --|----
This is my favorite episode in a long time, maybe ever. I laughed so hard listening to it yesterday, and started it over again today. Please we need NOSO - SLARS merch!!
As someone who works everyday to solve issues that affect some of the most vulnerable people in the world, this may have been some of the deepest, most thoughtful, and needed conversation I’ve ever been a part of. Who knew the theme of mythical creatures could result in such a powerful and necessary conversation on human nature. Thanks, as always, for inviting me to your table.
Stuffing is the "raw" dressing that goes in the bird and gets cooked with the bird, in the bird. Because of the juices and basting, it's the best dressing. The "raw" dressing that doesn't fit in the bird gets cooked separately. It can all be mixed together for the dinner. The mixture of seasonings, onions, celery, breadcrumbs, and chicken or turkey broth isn't raw, but gets cooked nonetheless to blend the flavors and cook the celery and onion. Plus any other ingredient you want in your dressing/stuffing.
Dusty's right about the food changing when the old people are no longer around. I'm older and do not have a recipe for a lot of things I make or if I do I add my own touch. And I agree dressing is the most important part of the meal. Thanks guys-great episode.
Y’all need to do an official tour together, like the Blue Collar Comedy Tour from years ago. I’d pay to see that! I’ve got front row seats for Nate when he comes to San Antonio next April. Can’t wait!
The answer to losing family recipes is for the younger generations to actually spend time in the kitchen with the elders to learn from them. My Mom taught me certain dishes, as well as my Mother-in-Law did. My Dad taught me some Portuguese dishes I continue to make. I, in turn, passed on some of those dishes to my daughter who is an amazing cook. Only one of my granddaughters is interested. This Christmas she will make stuffed shells and ricotta cookies with me. She is only 13 and can make pasta from scratch. I do wish she could have learned to make what we called “Papa’s Meatballs” (my late husband) before he passed. We are trying to recreate them. Too many kids, including some of my grands have their noses in their electronics.
As soon as I saw the title I knew this would be an excellent podcast for Dusty. As far as Loch Ness goes, it’s totally plausible that Nessie left Loch Ness by way of an underwater connection to the ocean that has since closed. Then she died somewhere in the ocean and that’s why we haven’t seen her. In 1930 there wasn’t the technology to rule this out. Edit: I made this comment before Dusty basically said the same thing.
I can’t decide who was more fired up: Dusty about swimming or Nate about scientific research. It was fun to watch these passionate discussions that ended with “none of this matters” and “I don’t mean anything.” Also, I made my Mom’s and Mother-in-Law’s recipes for Thanksgiving. Trying to keep the Texas Tators, Heavenly Onions and Homemade Noodles magic alive.
You guys are on the right track with blending in the best with special teams in football. Instead of long snapping, Aaron could short snap field goals and everyone else could be holders. As a former college holder I have full confidence you guys would do just good enough with some coaching. Love the show, thanks for the laughs!
Howdy from Hamilton, ON Canada, boys! Your discussion on the Canadian accent was an interesting one. I can tell you that people who live in British Columbia don't have the same accent as people who live in Newfoundland & Labrador. Even people in Southern Ontario who are close to Buffalo, New York, sound different than people who live farther north in Ontario. We have the same accent variety as in the US. It's vast and varied. And people in Quebec, well, that's right off the accent map! Anyway, love you guys so very much!! Dusty, can't wait to see your Netflix special!!! So excited!! Aaron, keep on truckin', dude! You are gonna make it big!!! Brian, you are the Alex Trebek of Nateland!! And Nate, you are the funniest, most authentic and lovely comic I have seen in a long long time! And with Brian, Aaron and Dusty, you guys are a comedy supergroup!!! Never change!!! I'm out!!! xoxoxo
We had peacocks when I was little. My grandparents lived next door to us and they loved them. The peacocks would come up on the porch to their living room window. Grandparents would get such a kick out of them looking in to their living room. And if I'm not mistaken (which I could be), I believe the military used to use guineas as watchdogs on bases. Keep up the great work, fellas. Nate, wife and I have our tickets already to see you here in Corpus Christi next year!
Such a funny concept…invest all this time to solve this existential problem and finally land on mars, as the 4.5 billion year timer strikes 0:00, saving all of humanity…only to realize…when the sun burns out mars will freeze too. Dusty had me rolling on this episode.
I get what Dusty is saying about how the food tastes different that the older people make. My dad has a theory, that the cookware they have used to make the food in for years has something to do with how it tastes. My Grandmother has a blue pot she always cooks turnip greens in, and my Dad swears that it's because of that pot that her turnip greens are the best. Might be a crazy idea but I thought it was an interesting theory. Love the show guys!
Great episode. Love the irrelevance of the entire show. Was able to celebrate my birthday week with surprise tickets to Nate’s final show in Knoxville….loved it!!!
I've toured the Loch Ness Centre when traveling through Scotland and visiting Loch Ness. They have launched multiple submarine excursion in Loch Ness in search of the monster. That whole tour was pretty informative
When I was dating my husband he brought his grandmother’s (Nan) stuffing/dressing recipe for Thanksgiving. It was the greatest I’ve ever tasted and needless to say my brothers left my poor mother’s stuffing alone and devoured my husbands. We’ve written down Nan’s Stuffing recipe for our kids so the recipe will continue on. I’m a firm believer in passing down family recipes. ❤
This was the spiciest, most unhinged, episode ever. I loved every minute! Literally laughing out load the entire time. Great job guys. Thanks for bringing the goods.
Before we were married, my husband brought cornbread dressing to his first Thanksgiving with my family and my mom also made dressing. His was gone. No one touched hers.
My whole family was cheering with dusty’s stuffing via dressing speech. Dressing is elite. We were dying laughing at the recipes dying with people.. relatable 😂
Nate was right with Intelligible with clarity of speech and diction. Legible pertains to clarity of writing - though legible is mostly in regards to penmanship.
“N.O.S.A” or a tshirt that reads “pay the homeless to find Bigfoot” I can’t decide which one to have made 1st. We’ve watched every episode- this one may be #1. Laughed until we cried! 😂😂😂 the AD read was classic! Dusty: “so you can’t be out unless you have a gun” 😂😂😂 Brian is so underrated on this podcast! He is the backbone truly! Nate: comments on neked😂 Aaron: just a all around comic with a contagious laugh. We love y’all!
Please find a local high school and compete with their swimmers - sell tickets and use it as a chance raise money for their team. I’m sure the tickets sell out quickly. They may even let you use their pool to train. Same for the soccer. Love listening to y’all - I always listen with a smile on my face.
Dusty, my comment a few episodes ago was part of how adamantly you defended yourself when I said that Bouncehouse would blend in better on a soccer field. You kept saying I didn’t have any idea how good you could swim. I still have my doubts but I’m looking forward to the next Krispy Kreme challenge in this swimming race. You guys gotta make this happen
I was SO excited to get my comment read on the previous episode (bathrooms), and it was very anticlimactic 😂 I asked the question about least favorite animals and Nate shrugged and said “I don’t know,” Brian kinda answered and the other two didn’t answer. 😂 Also, no one said anything about my name (which I get because it’s pretty basic). Regardless, it made my day and I would expect nothing less from the BAND.
Hey guys - Great episode and love the podcast. We'll be seeing Nate in B-ham in May, can't wait. I recently listened to your Animal Fights episode and loved it. In general, love when y'all do brackets. I have a horrible number 2 story from when I was on a Safari in Africa (absolutely nowhere to go/no privacy/deadly animals/etc) and was hoping you guys could entertain doing a bracket about worse moments to have to go numero dos. (Example: In the middle of an hour set on stage VS At your wedding during the Vows...etc, etc)
How is it possible that Aarons Leah Thomas swimming comment just flew under the radar...I laughed so hard I almost wrecked my car. That has to be one of the best under appreciated comments in the history of this podcast.
I’m already looking forward to next years Best Of video with the compilation of the blending into sports conversations 😂 would love to know how many minutes we are already at. Every time it comes back up poor Dusty has to keep asserting that it’s more ridiculous for Breakfast to be on a soccer field and it cracks me up
This episode made me thankful I did get my Grandma to write down her dressing recipe but what I really could use is Dusty’s Zucchini Pini (penne) recipe. Sounds delicious!
Here’s a fun and way to resolve the sports argument. Get Dusty to take a picture of himself in a speedo, and Beef Boullion of himself in a ManU jersey. Post them for fans to photo shop into actual team photos of professional teams and see who blends in most. Bonus points for some action shots so we get more creative with it
Ok this is officially my favorite episode of all time. A ton of great stuff came out this but my favorite part was the mock election debate between Aaron and Nate. Would be great to see a poll between Nate’s Loch Ness policy vs Aaron’s inflation policy.
The real test for the athletic premise is, is who would do more damage to their team. Dusty in a 4x50 or 4x100 relay race vs Breakfast in a half or full game of soccer. I'd also love to see a Nateland version of a Dude Perfect all sports battle! I've got Aaron as the all around sleeper who shocks us in the 3 point contest but Nate still pulls out the overall win.
First of all, Nate reading a college sponsor tears me apart. But Dustys Peenie Zucchini tore me up as well. It sounds like an Italian Venerial disease. Stay safe out there boys
Clam shells are as distinct as the human finger print, so it would be very easy to tell if they switched out another clam for Ming. His death was a tragedy and we won't rest until justice is served. I'm just kidding. I have no idea about clams. But #JusticeforMing!
Hello bears and hey folk (a tribute to how y’all messed up Nate’s intro). This was the funniest yet somehow dullest episode yet. My favorite part is how y’all have been arguing for weeks about the “sport hypothetical” and Badminton is still the only one that understands what blending in is. I immediately thought of the movie Miss Congeniality with Sandra Bullock. There has to be a folk out there that can photoshop each of you with your sports team to see if you blend. I’d love to see Dusty cropped in with the US Olympic team, and Nate with the Olympic basketball team! Thanks for doing your part on solving the world’s problems by paying the homeless to find bigfeets, and thanks for the laughs on my commutes. (I wonder what people think when they see me by myself in my truck literally laughing out loud)
Nate pointing at Dusty…”Even he believes in the ocean!” 😂
Best line from the ep. Near pissed myself I burst out laughing so hard
Cracked up at this!
I was listening on a podcast player and knew Nate was pointing at Dusty lol. Loved this
I've listened to all 176 episodes (some multiple times) Nate telling Aaron "he could do a cannonball to start us off" might be the line that has made me laugh the hardest, The visual of Dusty and Nate on a starter block and Bates holding his stopwatch on side of pool with Aaron doing a cannonball is absolutely gold!! Episode was HOT!
"Hunting for the ladies."
Brian, that was underrated. Laughed out loud.
He's the edgy one 😅
Brian saying Nate’s having the best year of any year in anyone’s life was perfect 😂😂😂
Yes, I wish mate was a friend of mine. Like a regular casual friend. At least I could make him laugh too.😊
Who needs ancestors, right? I mean, what’ve they ever done for us?
Yeah, that makes absolutely no sense, but it did lead to a funny convo 😅
This is quite simply one of the best episodes where Nate talks in reality and facts about humanity and focus of our collective attention.
He articulated it so clearly.
What a fun Feisty episode. Who knew they felt so passionately about funding the quest for Nessy and swimming competitions. Love these guys.
Love the swim contest! I’m 63 and raced competitively for 10 yrs. Won 50 yard freestyle when I was 14 . Time 25.42
Returned to train for a year and won my age group at 55.
Shoutout to the production team getting one in and putting Broomstick's name on Nate then dragging it over. It takes a village! 0:30
Yall create a NOSO shirt and I'll buy it. Great episode.
yea pls 😂
if yall dont imma make some fan art lol
A swimming race between Nate, Dusty, Aaron, and Bimby should be the next Krispy Kreme challenge. Do it.
Is it considered a race if no one reaches the finish line?
How many glazed can Aaron eat before Dusty gets to the other side of the pool?
I was thinking they could do like a NateLand triathlon.. swimming race, maybe something at the driving range, then top it off with a Krispy Kreme challenge.. to level out all the exercise
The way they are roasting Dusty is hilarious
Stop testing with a bogus, fraudulent test! Every nose that produces snot will match another snot test. Think deeper!
Its been a while since Nate went on a rant...I forget how much I wait for it and miss it when it doesn't happen. 😂
It was a good one too 😅
This has been the funniest Dusty episode ever. I'm DYING. Zucchini peene is killing me.
I about died when Dusty said that. I'm listening with earbuds in trying not to wake my husband. 😂
Nate, in the middle of a serious rant about people focusing on the present problems of the world, and Dusty (in spectacular fashion) says, "Let's pay homeless people to look for Bigfoot!" Priceless!!!
Freakin hilarious 😂

Also Nate: I want it to be dumbed down to me.
Also also Nate: This is supposed to be a dumb, fun podcast.
Classic Nateland and why we love this podcast.
LOL so true!

I could see Aaron just give up when Nate said humans could just go live in the ocean when the sun explodes.😂
I was thinking the same thing, he is so patient.
Listening to Nate making a passionate case for how to solve the world’s largest problems while wearing a Ketchup hat is peak Nateland and I’m here for it!

This might be a new show 😂
This is my favorite podcast because it covers the importance of recording Thanksgiving family recipes and also tackles hard hitting issues like homelessness with logical solutions such as “Let’s have them look for Bigfoot” all in the same episode.
Glad to see the idea of the challenge is heating up. Make the end-of-year Natelympics happen. That content will be gold Jerry, GOLD!
The way Nate imagines the life of people according to their names is so funny! I love meeting people and deciding what kind of hallmark movie character they would be 😂
Nate, Murfreesboro here… keep up the great work. Thanks for the joy you bring.
Arrington in the house

Most people say, "I couldn't possibly eat that. So much butter. I'm pre-diabetic. Etc. but we are here."
We are still here!
Change churches! LOL

I love tuning in every week and I've never missed an episode, but this was the best episode in a long time 😂
One of the best rants from Nate ever!
Nate and Dusty teaming up on the ocean debate was absolute cinema😭😭. Aaron was trying to be ✨ reasonable ✨

Dusty started off strong with the ad read.. then it was downhill from there. Impossible for Aaron not to laugh. Always one of my favorite parts!

The people at NOAA must be so impressed that Nateland has invented NOSA 😂😂

I'm convinced Nate is absolutely talking about turkeys lol. The peacock walking around in Florida though is not surprising

Nate got fired up and red in the face this week. Missed the rants. 😊
There has not been an episode where Nate doesn't bring out the "It was a good joke in the 80's, still relevant now" one liner. Classic
What’s the context for this line? I’ve heard it so much on here but never get the reference.
@@omarstoltzfusjr8738I believe it's from Seinfeld.
The Cranberries HAVE to have the ridges from the can still on them in the serving dish for it TRULY to be Thanksgiving for Me.🤗🤘
Nate’s rants have returned and I am here for it.
My favorite episode to date! Definitely need a part 2!
Cornbread dressing is the best!! I miss it so much since my dad and grandma passed. I do have a recipe though. Lmk if you want it, Dusty.
Before we were married, my husband brought cornbread dressing to his first Thanksgiving with my family and my mom also made dressing. His was gone. No one touched hers.
Another great episode, definitely some moments that will carry over into future episodes and probably make it into the end of year highlight video 🎉
Another absolutely fantastic episode you guys!!❤❤❤
My whole family was cheering with dusty’s stuffing via dressing speech. Dressing is elite. We were dying laughing at the recipes dying with people.. relatable 😂
So funny! Everybody so impassioned! Nateland, please go on forever ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw Nate last night in Savannah and I have never laughed so hard in my life! Best set so far! Love you guys!
Dusty is so right about the family recipes and dishes do off with the older family members. Miss those dishes.
Nate was right with Intelligible with clarity of speech and diction. Legible pertains to clarity of writing - though legible is mostly in regards to penmanship.
Dusty reading a promo has become one of my favorite things. Watching Aaron try to hold it together it gold. “Zucchini Peenie…” 🤣🤣🤣
“N.O.S.A” or a tshirt that reads “pay the homeless to find Bigfoot” I can’t decide which one to have made 1st.
We’ve watched every episode- this one may be #1. Laughed until we cried! 😂😂😂 the AD read was classic!
Dusty: “so you can’t be out unless you have a gun” 😂😂😂
Brian is so underrated on this podcast! He is the backbone truly!
Nate: comments on neked😂
Aaron: just a all around comic with a contagious laugh.
We love y’all!
You guys are awesome!! This conversation is so great!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I feel like the only one that strongly prefers the banter when it's centered around the episode topic over random golf talk
Timing, cadence, chemistry, you name it, this pod rules.
I’d love it if Dusty stood up and took his shirt off and was shredded 😂😂😂
Bates?
@jasonwilliams1497 you had me in the first half, not gonna lie.. lol
In all seriousness, Nate was dropping some knowledge during the whole second half of this episode.
no seriousness here
😂
If this is where you come for knowledge then I’m sorry that the public school system failed you so badly.
I just said the same thing! He's got some serious wisdom
You have poor comprehension. Knowledge can be found everywhere, especially in comedy
Funest podcast I have heard from you guys today! Thank you.
Watching Aaron try to hide his laughter when Dusty reads his ads gets me every time 😂
After all this time he still laughs
I’m already looking forward to next years Best Of video with the compilation of the blending into sports conversations 😂 would love to know how many minutes we are already at. Every time it comes back up poor Dusty has to keep asserting that it’s more ridiculous for Breakfast to be on a soccer field and it cracks me up
This episode made me thankful I did get my Grandma to write down her dressing recipe but what I really could use is Dusty’s Zucchini Pini (penne) recipe. Sounds delicious!
Great episode. Never knowing where it was going. One of the best.
Nates on a roll and he knows it! Go Nate go!!!!
Clam shells are as distinct as the human finger print, so it would be very easy to tell if they switched out another clam for Ming. His death was a tragedy and we won't rest until justice is served.
I'm just kidding. I have no idea about clams. But #JusticeforMing!
Looks like I'm Not the only one storing extra nuts for the winter...
It. was.. just Thanksgiving
We're havin a good time
Hello bears and hey folk (a tribute to how y’all messed up Nate’s intro).
Also, shout out to Dusty's "Gravity Falls" hat. Noticed and appreciated #DustySlay.
I saw Dusty in Evans, GA 2 years ago, and look forward to seeing Nate next week at our performing arts center.
