Hello folks! SHE SAID YES!!! My now fiancé Siobhan (Shiv-on) went crazy when she heard Nate proposed on my behalf during the ‘Inventions’ episode! I was just happy you got her name right. The biggest Thankyou to all of you - Nate, Brokeback Munchkin, Aaron WebbedFoot, and the whole team, you guys really are the truth. You’ve made my families year during these uncertain times. Bless!
P.s she’s already started complaining I haven’t got a ring yet, I said “well I didn’t actually think Nate was going to read it out!” Love you guys. Thankyou

My first job ever, I worked at a place in my hometown called “Top Hats & Tuxedos”. I had zero training, yet I was usually the only one at the store. 17 year old high school girl. One time an entire wedding party came in to be measured and I went off of what little I thought I had learned.
A few weeks later, their tuxes were ready so the guys came in to be fitted. Because I had measured an inch below their belly button (which I now know is wrong), all of their tuxes were absolutely gigantic. And these were some big fellas, too. One of them said “I’ve never been able to say this, but these pants are HUGE on me!”
I was humiliated and the owner’s mom had to stay up all night the next couple of days altering their suits before their wedding . They told me after that to just write down what the men say their usual pant size is. They didn’t fire me and let me finish out the summer working there before I moved for college. It was a pretty good gig all in all.

    Hello folks,
I did it! I got a dog. I had to drive 6 hours away to pick her up. The trip back home was a nightmare. She absolutely hated being in the kennel. I tried playing some music but she would just lose it. Then I put on Nateland podcast and she immediately went to sleep. Thank you so much Nate, Aaron, and Brine. You have made the trip back home comfortable for not only the puppy but for me as well.

About the babies left outside in Finland. I currently live in Finland and this still happens. The grocery stores and some restaurants in older buildings are too small to have strollers driving through them. I was shocked when I saw two moms that left their strollers outside of a window and just sat at a table next to the window and had lunch. They live their lives and the babies stay sleeping.

    Cheerio Folks!
As Brother Breakfast talked about the odd job of “milking snakes”, I can only imagine Aaron thinking about the scene in Meet the Parents where Ben Stiller says “ you can milk anything with teats”. I also imagine he was quite dumbfounded trying to figure out where the teats on a snake reside. I bet they don’t teach you that at Notre Dame! Great show guys and bye for now, Folks!

The look on Aaron’s face when he realized that chives were onions leads me to believe that he suddenly understands why so many members of his local country club who had onion allergies were ending up in the hospital after consuming meals where he was, and I quote, “throwing chives on everything”.

I grew up in Kansas and worked at a grain elevator for a couple summers during wheat harvest in high school. Some nights I had been around wheat dust so much I'd cough up globs of dust balls. Also discovered the worst smell I've ever smelled, rotten milo that had been sitting in standing water in a concrete basement of a grain elevator. Also, riding a rickety elevator (in the elevator) hundreds of feet up in the pitch black where you can't see your hand in front of your face, hoping the chain is strong enough while knowing there's no codes being adhered to, is quite an experience. This is also when I discovered the tops of UPS trucks are white.

Like Aaron, I sold plasma in college before I found a real job. On one occasion a blood clot blocked the needle and stopped the flow of blood either way. It took the nurse 20 minutes to notice and I nearly passed out. A lady in the chair/bed next to me who was in pretty rough shape gave me some great advice: Drink a glass of grape juice before each plasma "donation" to thin the blood. I could tell she had a lot of experience so I took the advice. Also at that moment I realized the only people selling plasma were college students and homeless people. Thanks for the show, folks. Great work!

Bandstand was so close when transitioning from colonoscopy to snake milker. I am a physician and we affectionately refer to colonoscopy as a "ride on the steel cobra." On a separate note, we have a saying in my family that perfectly describes people like Nate: "Often wrong...never in doubt." At least 3.4 times per podcast he lives out that idiom.

They have genuinely become a problem, I use to work at a restaurant where the Head Chef put them on everything including the caesar salad. I am laughing so hard right now picturing Bubbles Bates being the ring bearer at Aaron’s wedding. I can see him walking down the isle with a 4 year old flower girl, while looking super worried about dropping the rings. I’d pay good money to see that!! And I think for the grooms cake Aaron should have a giant Krispy Kreme donut cake!! That or a cake shaped like a foot with gout. This has the potential to be the greatest wedding of all time (just ahead of Nates pagan wedding) with a 50 year old ring bearer and a Krispy Kreme or gout foot cake. And a Crees cover band at the reception of course. Love the show guys, keep up the questionably good work!

Hello folks! I've got a suggestion for your podcasts about states. Since you've already done Rhode Island, the smallest state, I think you should do the next smallest state (Delaware) for your next episode. Keep this trend up until you get to the biggest state, Alaska.
Here's the catch though: make every episode shorter and shorter as the states get larger and larger. I think it would be HILARIOUS to tick off all the Texans and Californians by having an episode that's just 30 minutes of comments and then a 30-second blurb about how you couldn't really find much info about their state and tell all us folks how boring those states are. If you know many people from Texas, they think pretty highly of where they are from. It's important to knock them down a peg or two every now and then. I've been a listener since day one, and I look forward to listening to the annoyance of Nate, the giggles of Aaron, and the worried tone of Bing-Bong's voice each week. Keep it up!

My first job was at a state park, I worked with actual ex-convicts, alcoholics, and other high school kids, but it was the some of the best times I've ever had working. We had this 20ft x 20ft patch of grass behind a shed called "the yard" and you could challenge people to wrestle there after work. Whenever there was a yard match, people would clock out with excitement on their faces and rush to the yard to watch. I got challenged one time by my buddy and I gave him an asthma attack. I felt kind of bad, but I walked off like I was Hulk Hogan.

My friends called me out one night when I did not want chives and bullied me in to eventually getting my dinner with chives. They were saying, "It doesn't taste like anything." I said, "Then, why would I want it on my food? I don't need more than I asked for." After this I really had to question my judgement in future friends. I think about that chive interaction everyday.

Hello Nate, Aaron, and Baloney Sandwich! Nate's point about not getting mad when fellow golfers errantly hit into others flashed me back to my younger days when I was 15 and drilledd the best shot of my young golfing life. After it landed, it rolled about 30 yards under the group ahead of ours' cart. An adult man in denim shorts got out yelling expletives at me like I had done it on purpose and proceeded to hit my ball directly back towards me...made it about half way...actually made me feel better about the drive. I completely agree with the point that there's no sense in getting mad when these things happen and since that day, if I'm hit into, I simply hit the wayward ball perpendicular to the hole layout. I don't get upset, but the long walk or lost ball gives the accidental offender a chance to reflect on their choices and what could have been a better way. I derive no joy from this, but rules are rules.
My calendar is basically on a wednesday-to-wednesday schedule at this point, so please keep up the good work!

Brian is absolutely on point with how to handle dating sites. After getting divorced I was trying to adjust to the online dating scene, and got sick of the same repetitive "hey that's a cute dog" and other generic openings and comments, so I instead resorted to sending random comments that made me laugh. My favorite of these comments was to a woman posing in front of a fish tank where I commented "This photo is absolutely breathtaking (not dissimilar to Aaron's awe of swiping on the iPhone), I can't take my eyes of it and I have to know, how do you keep that fish tank so clean? Oh, and you have beautiful eyes." My friends and family all think it's a horrible idea, but either they'll get the jokes and get me or not, but either way it's better than just being another face in the crowd. Love the podcast, and please drop a Go Irish to Aaron for me.

I can relate to Aaron's meeting Scott Stapp and not knowing. I was once at a retreat in Jacksonville, FL playing cards with friends and this guy came up to our table and asked what we were playing. So I explained the game and asked if he wanted to play. He thanked me for explaining and left. Right after he walked away another friend came up to me and said "you just talked to Allen Iverson!" The difference between my story and Aaron's is that I didn't even know who he was after being told his name.

    Quilt Guardian
In high school, I was the custodian for the "school house" where our church had Sunday school and the ladies quilted. The ladies were going to have a quilt show and worried someone would break in and steal their quilts. This fear was compounded by the fact that the building did not fully lock. The solution they decided was to either park a car in front of a door or chain it shut. But that wasn't enough; they asked me to choose a few friends to stay the night inside with the quilts. In exchange they would leave us plenty of snacks and caffeine. My meeting with them consisted of 10 minutes where they explained my duties and their precautions followed by 45 minutes of them asking what snacks I wanted and which grocery stores had the best deals. To their relief, no diabolical quilt thieves showed up, but most of the snacks were never seen again.
    I'll go proofread this now.
Also, my name is pronounced "Miller" and I am sadly no relation to Nate's ghost-encountering friend. I will definitely continue to "turn around" for "Myoo-ler."

I am subscribed to a few podcasts that come out on Wednesdays but this is always the first one I listen to. The only thing that might change that is when the Aaronland podcast first drops, as it will have even less credibility than Nateland. Keep up the good work, folks!

When Nate first read the letter about Aaron saying he could make a "will" my first thought was "He shouldn't try that himself. He should get a good lawyer to do it for him. It's a good idea for him to have a will though because he's a big boy and you never know how long he's going to be with us." It wasn't until the conversation ensued that I realized Nate was saying "wheel" and remembered Aaron saying that he could make a wheel in a previous episode. Keep making me laugh fellas!

@@scotth3918 I grew up in Georgia and live there now. But I left for 31 years during my Air Force career as my specialty had me in places like Japan, the Philippines, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq to name just a few. Now that I'm home I usually understand immediately what someone with a strong southern accent is saying ... but once in awhile I feel like I'm back in Iraq struggling to understand the local dialects. Regardless, Nateland is one of the best podcasts out there and Nate is one of my favorite stand-up comedians.

The first time I heard Nate mention opening a restaurant called “No Onions” was on the whiskey ginger podcast which led me to The Tennessee Kid on Netflix and to this podcast. This podcast gets me through my days processing specimens in a laboratory. Which speaking of odd jobs I spend my days opening urine cup after urine cup for testing. It’s repetitive and sometimes gross. Thanks for the content to make my day better

The BEST! Where can I subscribe to Aaronland? Wait, I’m already subscribed to his podcast, that he quit. Much like his gym membership, no one was notified. 😂 love this podcast!
Aarons wedding should be featured! I wanna see Barnacle carrying those rings!
Also, not convinced chives are onions. I could see scallions on eggs, but chives?! Maybe onions should be a topic?

They never caught on to Laura’s maiden name, which I used as (Lorraine) Baines (McFly) as a call-out to Back to the Future. The serious people forgot that simple comment. lol

Hello Folks! You need to check out the driving range scene from the movie "The Sweetest Thing"..... it is HILARIOUS!
AND..... NICKELBACK ROCKS!! My son and I had tickets to see them in 2020 for our 2nd time but it was canceled. My son met them when they were in Bangor, Maine a few years ago. I do not understand why so many people don't like them anymore?? Fairweather fans, I guess 😡.
Thanks for all you guys do each week. Nate, Aaron, and BeatBox, you are all hilarious. I'm trying to get used to the southern accent... "PANGuin🐧for PENguin", "WILL for WHEEL" 🤣 I even lived in Jacksonville, FL for 4 years but that's not helping me😂. Im still watching this episode and Y'ALL are killing me!!
    Thank you!!

Went to assist a make up artist on a set. Ended up helping wardrobe before the Producer pulled me to go find black hair dye spray in a can to spray Bert Reynolds body double's hair to match Bert's most recent style. Unable to find spray I had to purchase dye. Once back on set I was tasked with dying his hair. Not being a stylist or ever dying hair before, why not, right!?! Welp, fearful it would come out purple, I dyed his white hair to black. Luckily it didn't, but what an extraordinary day to say the least.

FUNERAL HOME! My first summer job after my 8th grade year was at a funeral home. It was certainly odd. Maybe Nate, Bereavement and Aaron could offer some humorous insights on this unique but vital profession. Maybe a whole episode....since you guys are doing states and all! Anywho love the show!

Hello folks! Hey Aaron...I signed up for a gym membership one time because they had a special monthly price of $10 a month. I felt like it was too good to pass up. I never canceled it and eventually the card to the account expired. I thought that would end it. 7 years later...I'm trying to get an apartment and my credit checks are getting rejected. Never carried any kind of debt. Turns out, the gym reported me to the credit authorities for deliquency. I had to pay like $500 bucks to some shady company to get my name cleared. Get out of it while you can. It's totally how they make money.

My husband and I met online when we were 17. It was some random teen website with forums and chat groups. It was advertised in some magazine and I went on just looking for people to talk to during the summer. My husband and I began messaging and sometime after we exchanged numbers. I lived in Oregon, he was from Texas we didn't meet in person for two years. We've been together thirteen years now and have three young girls.

In college, I too worked at a golf course at a country club here in Indianapolis.... On my last day of work before school started back, I parked this heavy duty cart on a hill facing the pond. When I tried to start it to move, it just went barreling towards the pond. I was unable to stop it until the front side was fully in the water. I gathered my things and climbed out. I walked to the maintenance shop to tell someone what happened. And then... I just went home. I assume they got the cart out, but who knows...

I never thought I'd be this guy but chives actually aren't onions. They're plants that produce edible leaves and flowers but aren't as pungent as onions. However to Nate's credit, they are closely related. Question: How many chives do you think Aaron could eat? (Commence Nate going on rant about how they "pretty much are" onions).

And Nate, i believe in you with your new health kick. I taught these guys to eat vegetables at every meal. if they can do it, you can probably do it.

I enjoyed the random golf stories at the jump. I'm sure you'll get a bunch of these, but couldn't help to share my favorite example of a bad shot that would be hard to replicate. I once went to a course with a friend, and we randomly got placed in a foursome with 2 close childhood friends of my wife. Two guys I knew well enough to be friendly with, but not real well. The course was one of those in a neighborhood, with backyards bordering the fairway. On one teebox there was a dog sitting in the yard left of the fairway watching us, maybe 80 yds up the fairway. It was far enough left that only a truly horrible shot - hard, hard left would end up in that yard. As my wife's friend was pulling his driver out, I joked "hey, make sure you don't hit that dog"....the joke being how bad a shot that would be. He drove straight up the middle, and I teed off next. You know where this is going....I flanked the ball hard left, with serious hook on it, a line drive that never got more than 10 feet off the ground. It was like slow motion as we watched in horror as the ball curve directly at the dog, drilling it in the front leg. The dog started howling and yelping like crazy. The owner was home and came outside...they were pretty understanding (i guess living on the golf course this is a known risk), but i'm sure they were judging my shot in their head. Notably, they did not say "we've all been there".
