There were sorceries to hide your true nature in EU.. In Bane novels, Darth Zannah fucking walks in and out of the Jedi Temple, Jedi non the wiser. Though she didn't change her appearance through the force, if that can be done, it is logical the Sith would've found a way to do it in the 1000 years of dramatic build up, called the rule of two.

At least if they introduced Darth Jar Jar at last minute in Rise of Skywalker, it would have been way better than what we have, a somehow resurrected Palpatine who gets killed again. Completely ruining the Skywalker lore of the OT and prequels.. Snoke shouldn't have been killed off in TLJ.
This is why Palpatine is my favorite character in Star Wars. He’s powerful, intelligent, cunning and badass. He orchestrated the entire clone war, wiped out most of the Jedi and controlled the galaxy for 20+ years. And even after he “died” he still stood in the shadows waiting for the right time to make himself known again. No one is like him.

I just realized something. When Palpatine was talking about how Plagueis was able to bring back the ones he loved, but not himself, Palpatine perfected the power to save himself instead because now he's on Episode 9. He didn't revive Padme because he was going to save himself.
Anakin turning to the dark side is more compelling when the reason he does it is to save his family. Imo. It makes Vader a more dynamic character and is in line with his confliction when fighting his son Luke in the originally trilogy

The insane amount of Star Destroyers appearing out of nowhere makes me think the Star Forge from KOTOR, or something like it, plays a part in this. It straight up mirrors the dark side ending scene where Revan uses the Star Forge to create an armada to invade the republic.

Even though I can understand why Lucas changed the storyline so that Anakin's lineage stayed a mystery, the reveal that Palpatine had manipulated the force to make life would have made the fact that he bothered at all to retrieve him from Mustafar and put so much time and energy into rebuilding him with cybernetics make a lot more sense.

It was good, very good, but not 'best movie ever' good. Infinity War was a better film. The Godfather, Taxi Driver, Hot Fuzz, there are certainly better movies. But it was still very good, don't get me wrong. I'd say it was 3rd best Star Wars films. Episode 5 still ranks highest for me, followed by Episode 7. I think Rise of Skywalker could have been the best of the Trilogy Trilogy, if The Last Jedi had been used to expand people's characterisation and set up major plot points, but Rhian Johnson wasted it.

Hey, saw it an hour ago. It's an enjoyable star wars film which gives you the feeling just as the originals. You fall in love with rey, she binds to your hearth through this movie. Palpatine, wow, insanse, menacing, scary, intimidating. Ending, well you may or may not like it, it is eventfull, emotional, very very emotional, a small and a big twist, but at the end it is a star wars movie.
I couldn't agree more about Rey! She has completely grown on me! I never hated her charafter, I just thought she was the least engaging out of the new trio, but man...this movie ....she is the MOST interesting! Also, Daisy bloody SHINES in this one! I loved her performance! I've always kjown there would be an explanation as to why she is so powerful! I just realized something. When Palpatine was talking about how Plagueis was able to bring back the ones he loved, but not himself, Palpatine perfected the power to save himself instead because now he's on Episode 9. He didn't revive Padme because he was going to save himself.
Anakin turning to the dark side is more compelling when the reason he does it is to save his family. Imo. It makes Vader a more dynamic character and is in line with his confliction when fighting his son Luke in the originally trilogy

The insane amount of Star Destroyers appearing out of nowhere makes me think the Star Forge from KOTOR, or something like it, plays a part in this. It straight up mirrors the dark side ending scene where Revan uses the Star Forge to create an armada to invade the republic.

Even though I can understand why Lucas changed the storyline so that Anakin's lineage stayed a mystery, the reveal that Palpatine had manipulated the force to make life would have made the fact that he bothered at all to retrieve him from Mustafar and put so much time and energy into rebuilding him with cybernetics make a lot more sense.

It was good, very good, but not 'best movie ever' good. Infinity War was a better film. The Godfather, Taxi Driver, Hot Fuzz, there are certainly better movies.
But it was still very good, don't get me wrong. I'd say it was 3rd best Star Wars films. Episode 5 still ranks highest for me, followed by Episode 7.
I think Rise of Skywalker could have been the best of the Trilogy Trilogy, if The Last Jedi had been used to expand people's characterisation and set up major plot points, but Rhian Johnson wasted it.

It's an enjoyable star wars film which gives you the feeling just as the originals.
You fall in love with rey, she binds to your hearth through this movie.
Palpatine, wow, insanse, menacing, scary, intimidating.
Ending, well you may or may not like it, it is eventfull, emotional, very very emotional, a small and a big twist, but at the end it is a star wars movie.
I couldn't agree more about Rey! She has completely grown on me! I never hated her charafter, I just thought she was the least engaging out of the new trio, but man...this movie ....she is the MOST interesting! Also, Daisy bloody SHINES in this one! I loved her performance! I've always kjown there would be an explanation as to why she is so powerful! Twats who are determined to hate her for being a Mary Sue after watching IX are just bitter about being proven wromg!
