Love can lead one to good or evil. Jolee is too optimistic. It can either save you, or condemn you, and Vader is the perfect proof that both are possible.
I enjoyed the prequels. Sure the Anakin was a cheesy and whiney guy. But for me it's actually really interesting. There's just something about the prequels.
I am so thankful for Liam's role as Qui-Gon, he has always been my favourite jedi of all time. It saddens me that we lost him so soon, but in a way it can also be a blessing because his impact was real and we didn't get "tired" of the character after three movies with the same guy. (Doubt it would have happened, but you never know with Hollywood)
I got that feel that he would have been better as a grey Jedi in canon I mean he could somewhat tell in the movie at least that the Jedi had become a little bit dim in there trust of there code.
If Qui-Gon had survived and taken Anikan as his apprentice, I believe that Anikans fate would have been different. Not to undermine Obi-Wans training. But he was patient enough.
yo im 37 my bro is 9 years older i grew up with star wars as did a lot of adults today great saga. your videos are very informative and helpful in understanding the lore of the the entire realm thank you and much appreciation from one fan to another! may the force be with you my friend
my favorite Quote from Jinn is " Your focus determines your reality." Qui Gon I believe is what a jedi should be and sees the value in all life while being a benevolent protector for all that is just and kind. He knows that the jedi attempting to scientifically break down the force is what becomes a huge flaw in that jedi order.
Ok, why aren't any of these Qui Gon Jinn books canon? I mean think about it. If nobody read any of these comics or books, & don't know any of these facts, & just went straight to Episode 1, then they wouldn't feel any attachment to Qui Gon. Unlike Obi Wan. Because Obi Wan was in all 6 episodes. So we feel an attachment to him
I went in with the first star wars movie w/o knowing anything about Qui Gon, he still is one of my favourite characters up to date. My excitement in ROTS when obi wan found out he could contact his old master went out of control
I'm the same with Ruben Haas. It's been sooooo long since I last watched Episode 1 that I really forgot everything about it (except for the Pod Races coz that is friggin' awesome), and I was instantly in love with Qui Gon. I love characters who are willing to risk many things in the name of truth. My favourite Star Wars character used to be Obi Wan Kenobi, but after watching Episode 1, it was now Qui Gon Jinn hands down.
The more I learn about Qui Gon I start seeing so many similar experiences, perspectives, and hardships with him and Anakin. Anakin possibly would've been just like him if he didn't turn and probably more powerful
Jinn did not ask Obi-wan to acompany him, they had to make an emergency landing on a stormy world where they were put in a situation of defending a race dependent on Bacta for food, but which were poisoned easily by salt. It was only after that book in the Jedi Apprentice series that Qui-gon started considering Obi-wan as a potential padawan, and only after they faced Xanatos for the first time on another world were they bonded as master and padawan.
Well done. Qui-Gon Jinn is my favorite Jedi, and the one who I find most relatable. I like his character quite a lot, and appreciate this fine overview of some of his history.
Jinn has been my favorite Jedi since TPM. He’s a noble and wise Jedi, but loves to disobey the Jedi Counsel, and he’s something of a rogue, a gray Jedi even, and that makes him far more interesting.
This is just a tangent, but I really like what Clone Wars was able to do with the visual representation of not only he force, as seen in the Father arc, but also with the Midichlorians in Yoda's journey through the world of the fates. Qui-gon delivered some insightful moments in all forms of media, and it's nice to see that they were able to restore some mysticism to those microscopic lifeforms.
I really hope when they make the Kenobi series, that they bring back Qui Gon as a force ghost to help him through some trying times. Even if it's a short appearance in one episode, I could die happily.
Great video!! Qui Gon Jinn is my favourite Jedi mainly because he kept his mind open and followed his own path, despite what the Jedi council wanted. Eventually allowing him to learn to become a force ghost before any other Jedi from the council.
I was never a huge star wars fan, mainly because there wasn't much backstory in the movies and I didn't know about the comics and books until recently. Watching these vids is a blast.

Seeing Qui-Gon Jinn with sunglasses and a water bottle is hilarious
I hope he gets his own movie , such a good character not explored in the movies much
who was closer to the dark side Qui Gon Jinn or Mace Windu?
Logan Mial I would say Mace Windu since he actually uses the Dark side of the force when using Vaapad but Qui-gon just walks near it.
Logan Mial Mace Windy because he almost killed Palatine and maybe even Anakin
I think Mace...but if Qui Gon were to fight Mace...oh man...that's a video i'd love to do..
Star Wars Theory please please do that you're awesome
Star Wars Theory make a mace v jinn video
7:20 when you're chilling on naboo at 3 but gotta fight Darth maul at 4.
“Controlling your passions while being in love- THAT’S what they should warn you about. But love will save you, not condemn you”
I like to think Qui Gonn and Jolee wouldve been good friends
Love can lead one to good or evil. Jolee is too optimistic. It can either save you, or condemn you, and Vader is the perfect proof that both are possible.
Qui gon Jinn is the best Jedi that ever lived
Daniel Cruz I wouldn't say the best, but definitely the most genuine. Obi-Wan or Yoda were definitely the best.
Deff the most genuine
Eh em
mace windu
I've always liked Jinn's character. This is a great video IMO. Subbed!
The thumbnail was just me peeling off glue that was on my face.i don’t even know how it got ther tho.
Hello There, Master Qui Gon
General Kenobi
Qui Gon is clearly the Tahl-est Jedi!
I'm sorry.
Being an Obi Wan fan.. I was excited to see him as an Padawan and the relationship between he and his Master.. Love Qui-Gon alot.. Thanks for the vid
yknow, i dont like the prequels, but i really liked qui gon, and darth maul
same :) Thanks for watching
Star Wars Theory Same. Liked em both. Shame they died
Star Wars Theory you don't like the prequels?I know you do...
I enjoyed the prequels. Sure the Anakin was a cheesy and whiney guy. But for me it's actually really interesting. There's just something about the prequels.
Sort of agree because I think revenge of the sith is the best starwars movie
I never knew he was so tall!
Drew Peters Liam Neeson is tall. Qui-Gon Gin and Tonic is regular height
Drew Peters Little over 6'
Qui-Gon was one of the best. I miss him.
Qui Gon is a big part of why I originally fell in love with Star Wars as a young child 💜💜
So basically the Ned Stark of Star Wars
nope
If this connection would even make sense, then Ned would be the Qui Gon of Game of Thrones...
Qui-Gon Jinn chronologically, book Ned predates Qui Gon Jinn.
Qui-Gon lived *a long time ago* in a galaxy far, far away.
@@qui-gonjinn7179 a game of thrones came out in 1997
He was considered a sort of Grey jedi
I got that feel that he would have been better as a grey Jedi in canon I mean he could somewhat tell in the movie at least that the Jedi had become a little bit dim in there trust of there code.
If Qui-Gon had survived and taken Anikan as his apprentice, I believe that Anikans fate would have been different. Not to undermine Obi-Wans training. But he was patient enough.
Is it kind of weird that Obi Wan AND Qui Gon look like Jesus.
The Father - Qui-Gon
The Son - Obi-Wan
The Spirit - Anakin maybe?
@@alternaterealityspecialist635 Jesus: turns another cheek when is hit
Anakin: "They were animals! And I slaughtered them like animals!"
And Anakin technically is Space Jesus
yo im 37 my bro is 9 years older i grew up with star wars as did a lot of adults today great saga. your videos are very informative and helpful in understanding the lore of the the entire realm thank you and much appreciation from one fan to another! may the force be with you my friend
my favorite Quote from Jinn is " Your focus determines your reality."
Qui Gon I believe is what a jedi should be and sees the value in all life while being a benevolent protector for all that is just and kind.
So we feel an attachment to him
Alex Schloesser b/c the whole history of star wars has been piced together by many diffrent people creating sub fanbades and 2 b/c Disney
lordicewolfz I knew the Disney part.
Alex Schloesser what is "canon"? And STOP
The more I learn about Qui Gon I start seeing so many similar experiences, perspectives, and hardships with him and Anakin. Anakin possibly would've been just like him if he didn't turn and probably more powerful
I'd love to see an overview of Dooku. He's one of my favorites aswell as Qui Gon.
I'd like a what if Dooku trained Luke or Leia
"Letting out a loud cry of anguish". There's only one I can think of: "NOOOOOOooooooooo!!!"
They should make a whole movie about him
One more interesting fact about qui gon is that he died in the phantom menace
I really enjoyed the books about Kenobi and Qui-Gon! Some of the best reads of my teen years. Your videos are awesome man keep it up! 😀
do kit fisto
Jinn has been my favorite Jedi since TPM. He’s a noble and wise Jedi, but loves to disobey the Jedi Counsel, and he’s something of a rogue, a gray Jedi even, and that makes him far more interesting.
I didn’t even know we had this much information about Qui Gon
a lot of it isn’t cannon anymore, disney ruined the lore of star wars
This is just a tangent, but I really like what Clone Wars was able to do with the visual representation of not only he force, as seen in the Father arc, but also with the Midichlorians in Yoda's journey through the world of the fates.
Qui-gon delivered some insightful moments in all forms of media, and it's nice to see that they were able to restore some mysticism to those microscopic lifeforms.
If only Qui Gon Jin survives there wouldn’t be no order 66
If only he didn’t think Anakin was the chosen
@@samnewman1570 anakin was the chosen one anakin defeating Vader and the dark lord of the sith
Qui Gon is pretty cool, shame that the boss that is mall killed him
McTurbo1300 lol
Maul was a gangster for real tho
I would be interested to see your review of all 7 Star Wars films before Rogue One drops :D
Qui gon needs his own Star Wars movie.
He IS my favorite one of all time. 100% love the character. He embodied everything a Jedi SHOULD be.
Title of this video should be more like 12 reasons to LOVE Qui Gon even more!
Yoda listens to the force
Qui-Gon: Anakin! Anakin!
Stephen Colbert: NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
12 facts.... Begins list with a theory. :) My my my.
COULD YOU REVIEW ALL THE STAR WARS MOVIES BEFORE ROGUE ONE COMES OUT! GREAT JOB!!!
hey man, sure, how would you like me to do that? Just a 5-10 minute breakdown or full review of each film??
the more the better i think :) (how greedy can i be:) the dark side i can feel it)
juan grisanty ...
Qui gon jin has always and will always be my favorite Jedi
Everyone: Qui-gon Jinn was amazing:
Me having read the Jedi apprentice books: Badomeer, Melida/Daan, Tahl death, Bruck Chun, Xanatos,Pijal
I really hope when they make the Kenobi series, that they bring back Qui Gon as a force ghost to help him through some trying times. Even if it's a short appearance in one episode, I could die happily.
You can die happily!
This aged well
aged well
plz contuninue what if qui gon jinn trained anakin and if mace windu didnt die plz :))
On it ;)
+Star Wars Theory Great!
Star Wars Theory and in both can you make order 65 happen a clone civil war the republic vs the empire plz :))
Star Wars Theory do you know what order 65 is?
***** you would you like that to happen too?
Do a what if Anikin didn't kill Dooku?
Great video!! Qui Gon Jinn is my favourite Jedi mainly because he kept his mind open and followed his own path, despite what the Jedi council wanted. Eventually allowing him to learn to become a force ghost before any other Jedi from the council.
GREAT videos man!!!!! Can't believe I JUST found these!!!!
Count Dooku taught him that betrayal will come from a friend. Dooku then turns to the darkside. He knew he would change all alonggggg
What if Dooku trained Luke
The one and only fact you need to know that he is Jedi space Jesus
This needs to be adapted into a movie.
I was never a huge star wars fan, mainly because there wasn't much backstory in the movies and I didn't know about the comics and books until recently. Watching these vids is a blast.
the picture of qui gon used in the thumbnail is from an old Star Wars comic i had when i was younger. Great reminder of a great comic
