i wish you guys could do these vids every day of the week! lol i know its not possible, but as a restorer for 40 years ! bed ridden now i love these vids! genunine good people doing what they love! nothing better than fixing up a hotrod!!
I admire your dedication to saving what is there. Most guys would have sanded it some, shot some new primer and new black. You are like an archeologist, uncovering to see the past! I'm not even a hot rod guy but I love your channel.
What you guys do rejuvinate interesting old cars is amazing...really brings them back to life. Those of us who appreciate these old artifacts really really value your contibution to the lore of yesteryear.
That is one of the coolest cars. It is amazing how tough the original pain was to survive all this time and abuse. It looks really good and truly a survivor.
Incredible amount of work but oh man, it was worth it! Beautiful transformation, she just keeps getting better and better! That one's a keeper! Steve and Mike back on the Crapiolet! Go Iron Trap, keep moving forward!
The paint is done! It looks perfect now! The car has the correct wheels and tires, the correct paint and soon some neat commercial headlights. This car stands out. Lift up the hood side to find a neat hot rod flathead that runs super nice which is icing on the cake. A good rear with juice brakes front and back and this one will have it all. Congratulations on an impressive vehicle! I wish it was mine.
Absolutely loved watching the restorative process. Thank you, ITG, for stepping through the various elements which makes it all tie together. Traditional Rodding restoration at its finest. 😊 👌🔥👍🍻😍🥃🔥❤️👋
Fun one guys. It's cool to see the background things going on. Looks like Mike is working on his ride again. You could start your own 33/34 Ford club at this point. Have a great weekend and keep on keeping on.
I was a teen in Northern California in the 70s. I remember the old weathered cars my friends drove: one guy had a '62 Falcon with an inline six- he cherished that thing but I couldn't see why. Another drove a '59 Karmann Ghia which would vapor lock and strand us on hot afternoons tooling out around Folsom Lake. Another pal had an early Datsun coupe- maybe the 1200? With five of us in it going flat out down the long steep incline by Aerojet it was the first time I saw 100 MPH on the speedo (indicated). I remember the thrill. They didn't call it "patina" then; they just said they were saving up for a paint job. The dilapidated look really seemed to become popular with the air-cooled VW crowd, because those cars were a very cheap entry into rodding and customs. I'm sure Ed Roth's iconic drawings were a big influence too. Which makes me wonder if art imitates life or creates it too? My point is seeing that Sedan Delivery in all its honest, scruffy glory brings me right back to those days and the fun I had around cars in that golden time. Thank you.
WOW!!! The truck turned out amazingly well! Elbow grease and determination went a long way my friend! It's amazing that this vehicle survived all these years basically complete and wasn't used up during the "Gasser Wars" craze of the 1960s with all the mods that period would have entailed! Looks totally amazing Matt , and Steve, a job well done ! Now go and put some lineament oil on those tired and sore arms and knees, they deserve it! Truly amazing!!! Congratulations!
wow you guys have knocked it out of the park yet again p/s I see mike and Steve working on mikes roadster in the back ground another video up date soon I hope
Just amazing, incredible transformation and grit that you all put into each part that crosses your paths. Can't say enough nice things about you guys. Great team.
Matt, may I suggest making the exhaust pipes turn out instead coming out straight. The reason is that while using the rear door, you legs could come in contact with the exhaust pipes. By bending the pipes 90 Deg., it keeps the person from getting dirty or getting injured from the tail pipe rough ends. Side pipes might look good.
That delivery truck is freaking awesome you don't see too many of those things around all you see is you know tubbed roadsters and stuff but there's not many deliveries that is freaking awesome you did a great job getting that fog primer off of there😊
That's inspiring work Matt. My 57 Catalina arrived in old turd brown primer that I'd really love to remove. Now I think I know how to proceed. 🔥 Good to see Mike getting to work on his ride there in the background too.
Amazing transformation from the primer to the black paint underneath. After watching the process, I see why you want to only do one car a year. Thank you for sharing.
Good Morning ITG! pretty cool that old paint is coming back to life! I may try & revive the paint on my 31 Coupe, someone painted black over the original blue, I may spray the repaired spots with black primer.. & try & put some shine on the black color
Looks awesome. Man that was a lot of work. But worth every minute of it. Good for you Matt and Steve. And nice to see Mike getting to work on his car in the background. It just shows how hard work and commitment pay's off. Bob from Ontario Canada 👍
That car looks gangsta! Hate using the word patina but this has it in spades! My only suggestion is to add red pinstripe along the beltline to match the wheels. Great job! New favorite car!
Wow guys, that's looking better and better. That one has to be a keeper doesn't it? With a bit of cool old Irontrap sign writing on the sides, it would be cool and useful. I'm loving watching this cars journey back to life.
Having that Ditzler handy it would be so tempting to paint the whole car. It would be so hard for the painter in me to resist lol It looks great as is. I really appreciate the sympathetic resurrections you do to these cars.
Yea agreed it’s a tough one but I think to make it actually nice enough for fresh paint it would require a lot more work to fix all the dents and small imperfections and then spray. Then it goes off the rails and is another car sitting for years while we try to match the rest of the car to the perfect paint. Slippery slope..
The Delivery looks really good now, a major improvement. It is such a cool vehicle I think it would look great if you could get someone to put back some of the pin striping and the lettering. Maybe a worn look also to match the paint.
Where you can usually find original paint on old cars is firewall area. These often do not get changed or messed with. Take off any original fittings [behind a terminal box etc. & there may be original colour. Also the inside of metal panels was sprayed the body colour but unpolished. I found my '31 was black by doing this.. Cheers.
It is amazing to see how far you guys have come since the start of your channel - well done Matt!
Thank you, we’ve learned a lot along the way!
i wish you guys could do these vids every day of the week! lol i know its not possible, but as a restorer for 40 years ! bed ridden now i love these vids! genunine good people doing what they love! nothing better than fixing up a hotrod!!
Thanks James! We’re glad the videos bring some enjoyment since you aren’t able to do the work anymore!
I admire your dedication to saving what is there. Most guys would have sanded it some, shot some new primer and new black. You are like an archeologist, uncovering to see the past! I'm not even a hot rod guy but I love your channel.
Guessing there are thousands of us fans who aren't hot rodders, we just love the ethos of ITG.
@@johna1160 Well I'm definitely one of them. But I'm learning a good bit just by watching their vids.
I became a hot rodder again after 15 years because of ITG.
We’re glad some people understand our madness! It’s a lot of fun digging in and uncovering the history and beauty of these old relics!
What you guys do rejuvinate interesting old cars is amazing...really brings them back to life. Those of us who appreciate these old artifacts really really value your contibution to the lore of yesteryear.
Thanks Andy!
That is one of the coolest cars. It is amazing how tough the original pain was to survive all this time and abuse. It looks really good and truly a survivor.
Henry would be proud of You making his black paint still look good .
The transformation is amazing looks much better !
That just keeps getting better and better, thanks for sharing!
Glad you’re enjoying the journey!

Yeah we are very happy with how it’s turning out!
Now you need to put the Iron Trap Garage logo on the side panels and age it. I love this old Ford!
Absolutely loved watching the restorative process. Thank you, ITG, for stepping through the various elements which makes it all tie together.
Traditional Rodding restoration at its finest.
😊
👌🔥👍🍻😍🥃🔥❤️👋
Thanks! It was a lot of work but it was worth it!
Nice to see some work being done on Mike's car.
man the stance is sweet and i like the outro shot with mike's hot rod included.
WOW what an improvement. Only Henry Ford could make a sedan delivery look that sexy with those body lines.
Keep up the great work!
The Paint came up Great I Liked the primer look but the shiny Black is killer well done
Now that you've moved out of the wharehouse, good to see all three of you working in the shop together.
We’re much more productive in the shop!
Fun one guys. It's cool to see the background things going on. Looks like Mike is working on his ride again. You could start your own 33/34 Ford club at this point. Have a great weekend and keep on keeping on.
Looking bad ass in the "any colour you want"
Wow what a beautiful looking vehicle now.

Absolutely love it! The stance, the suicide doors, the wheels and now the finish! Maybe a 60's "Keep on Truckin' " decal in the back window?
wow you guys have knocked it out of the park yet again p/s I see mike and Steve working on mikes roadster in the back ground another video up date soon I hope
Coming soon!
My favorite color…saved old paint. Looks fantastic!
I know that was a lot of work but it makes a world of difference.
Agreed!
Just amazing, incredible transformation and grit that you all put into each part that crosses your paths. Can't say enough nice things about you guys. Great team.
Thanks so much!
I give it a 10 out of 10!! Looks classy slick!
Holy crap Batman! That's a renewed car for sure. Fantastic job Matt Steve, you did it justice for sure.
Thoughtfull..... But shorten 4 inches each and flange a small trumpet.
Just about my favourite car in the fleet. She looks even better now! Well worth the effort.
So much more to it than the still photos. "Team Richmond" is so happy. That car is home now.
Thanks Andy!
really cool to save that finish. Looks way better.
That was a lot of hard work Matt, great job and its looks as it should, wonderful.
It’s a lot of work but worth it!
That delivery truck is freaking awesome you don't see too many of those things around all you see is you know tubbed roadsters and stuff but there's not many deliveries that is freaking awesome you did a great job getting that fog primer off of there😊
That turned out awesome! Gotta love it when a plan comes together!
That's inspiring work Matt. My 57 Catalina arrived in old turd brown primer that I'd really love to remove. Now I think I know how to proceed. 🔥

Wow guys, that's looking better and better. That one has to be a keeper doesn't it? With a bit of cool old Irontrap sign writing on the sides, it would be cool and useful. I'm loving watching this cars journey back to life.
I'd love to see a Hot Rod 101 video on basic wiring for projects like these. Show off some of Steve's hard work!
Outstanding job Matt!
Thanks!
Wow, Matt, I'm really lovin' the look of the '34 Sedan Delivery! Your work is really paying off!
It was a lot of work but worth it!
Having that Ditzler handy it would be so tempting to paint the whole car.
It would be so hard for the painter in me to resist lol

Looking good, you should get the girl that did your big red truck panels to do something on the side panels of that one.
It looks amazing!
Amazing results! Looking better all the time! 👍👍
Well worth the effort. Great save guys. Be well.
I love it. I know it is a lot of work, but with great results,

Looks great! My favorite car in your fleet!
Beautiful
That sedan delivery is going to make people say “Wow!” 👍
It’s looking great. And doesn’t look like the same delivery.
The difference is night and day on the paint love the stance of the car looks super aggressive.
