Aloha Chris, appreciate that you are willing to share your experiences with us. We/I can't do this alone without outside inspiration and motivation. Its strength sometimes to pick up the brush and humiliate yourself for the umpteenth time. Practice, practice, practice.
I’ve just seen this…on my 76 th. Birthday..what a gift for me to inspire people such as yourself in a great art form, that will support you and family for a lifetime! If I can ever help you ,if you have questions about selling your work ,or anything I can help you to enhance your experience, just ask, thanks
Thank you for this video, I'll be 53 this year and I have been fascinated by pinstripes on cars since I was a kid. About 4 years ago I bought the brushes and paints, I messed around for a month or so and would get frustrated. I recently pulled everything back out and I keep telling myself PRACTICE everyday and it will turn into something! I'm going to figure out how to trace a design and follow the lines, I've been searching for a video but I haven't found one yet. Very inspiring video. Thank you.
That is some amazing work, true art. I always wanted to learn how to do pinstripe, never really had the time to really sit down and learn it, to many other projects in life, someday maybe
Great story and inspiring. I’m an aspiring artist and watched so many pin striping videos here lately. I am so tired of the corporate world telling me what to believe in. I decided to venture on my doing hand painted signs and I ordered my first kit of pin striping tools. About to get started doing this. Thank you for sharing this
Very inspirational, fantastic work brother I’ve been learning custom paint over the last year, painted my Harley and I love it I have a lot of fun doing it!👍😎
Awesome work! I can relate to alot that you said. I've been airbrushing for about 15 years and just recently picked up a pinstriping brush. I'm having an easier time with scrolling style. Thank you for your time to make these videos. It's really encouraging to watch!
First car show for me, was a charity event with a whos who of east coast painters. I was having panic attacks. Jack the Italian was who pulled me aside. Gave me a pep talk. Spent the next yr building my skills and confidence. His talk was huge for me and my growth
Old retired bucket lister here that jumped head first into the world of striping, lettering, leafing. Not in it for $ but have done a few trophies and things for cash. Just like to stand back and say ok, didn't have do that one over. I think how you used a template to rough out your design will help me to stop wasting materials. Nice video. Good day. 🇺🇲🍺
@@paulgomez7573 I’ve got about 20 new ones this year. I’m realizing that I don’t know enough about them to have a favorite. I’ve done a bunch of videos on the new ones, each one does something slightly different.
What does that mean? I like the way I could use it with different tones and such. But before I run off saying it the wrong way, what did you mean by that?
And the whiskey thing is not only for stripers. It’s body men too😂 I’m a auto body guy out of Arkansas and I’ve been asked my profession and after asking about my drink of choice 🤦🏻♂️ like no not all painters or body men are alcoholics that’s a urban myth…to some people 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve failed more than once. I failed twice today actually. Some new brushes have a way of making you feel like a rookie.

The best thing I can tell you, just paint. If it doesn’t work, try a different way.
That's it. Im goin to the shop and loading a brush. Thanks for the inspiration to try, again!

Thanks man! Been a little discouraged lately. Haven’t gotten to paint much.

you gonna set up a store to sell your work?
I have an Etsy. I just haven’t done much with it since I setup some merch items.
Great story, where can I get that oval template?
Any place that has drafting supplies. The one I'm using here has all of the markings worn off.
