15 days isn't enough that was shocking, what if you put a bet on that I would be fuming big time.

why be fuming? Use proper bankroll management with a unit system. Max 3 units shouldnt leave you "fuming" its part of the corrupted game. It will happen many more times again.
What punters need to take into account these days are owners and trainers laying the horses...it's a guaranteed payback for them to lay their horse to lose and earn even more that the prize money for winning which in most cases are peanuts these days unless they are group races... Totally corrupted, punters now have to look really deeply into the possibility of the owners and trainers laying their horses in play and the jockey is just instructed to lose...there needs to be a whistle blower somewhere who can expose this.

They can't lay their horses to lose a lot, the exchanges monitor that. Harry Findlay got done for it. What they do is get their money on at a bigger price and drip feed the information onto others, having a green market before the race is even run.
But its not corrupt they say 🙈🙈 you even see the jockey looking over his left shoulder to see the other horse coming 🙄

Fallon didn't stop the horse only eased down when clear and when he saw the other horse coming tried to rouse the horse up again but got no response

The problem is that France has a tote monopoly so to give punters their money back, you would have to not pay anyone who backed the first past the post, which would not go down very well. The Betfair markets are extremely weak on French racing outside the really big meetings so, if this was rigged, there were no real avenues to make money. In my mind this was just massive incompetence from a showboating jockey.

The jockey in the green closest to the camera doesn’t seem to be encouraging / whipping the horse at all before the line - when it must have had more to give. It’s like an F1 driver not accelerating towards the finish line.
It's obvious it's a non trier it's still on the bridle yet he does not ride it out
Horse was going to win on the bridle but jockey had a brain fade. Shocking ride and deserved more than a shitty 2 week ban.

Jockey in green, look at the rest, then look at him. Every other jockey is using his whip and are visibly pushing there horse forward (riding it) the one in green is neither whipping nor (riding) his horse like you normally would in any race. And he knows where the line is no question of that, passing a 12 foot mirror clearly shows/tells him when the race has finished. He sat almost motionless the entire time maybe 2 very small pushes hands and heels was all he gave the horse the rest are shoving for their lives 😂
Even Gordon Elliott stand on dead horse . Kieran Fallon going 20 lengths clear and told undercover reporter he will get beat night before
To be honest, while this incident was painfully obvious, I see this happening semi regularly. I’ve been on horses that I’ve watched ride comfortably into winning positions knowing that horse has cruised to be where it was (with plenty in the tank and an aggressive jockey on top) yet when it gets to the business end, despite for all the money looking like it was about to step up and clean up, the anchors come on. I swear there’s a lot more subtle cheating going on than we realise.

#Hyrule, as the race approaching the finish line, the horse- green jacket on your left screen, remain sitting taking it really easy as the other 2 horses was trying so hard hitting and cantering the horse to go faster. That cheat jockey did not ever try to go faster after his horse jumped the last fence ahead of 2 other horse. So he eventually lost and end up finishing 2nd!
So if you put your last tenner on that horse- Mansione - I think the horse name and ridden by that cheat jockey, will leave you red faced and shocked, as your jockey did not even try, so basically he rode the horse not to win😂😤

He was a back marker at the start of the race , should have left his challenge too late if he was after throwing the race , i like betting in low grade handicap races , just follow the money and forget the form is a good way to win a few quid for small stakes
Or only back horses from top yards in big races. They won't risk the reputational damage or the loss of stud value. For example, a listed or group fillies race, everyone DESPERATE to finish in first three and get the much lauded "black type" that will secure the horses future as a broodmare. Remember its a business driven by ,money and it's easier to make money by winning that stuffing it up,

It happens in nearly every handicap race. This jockey just did a poor job disguising it.
The key to picking a winner in a handicap is not choosing which horse has the best chance of winning based on weights/form etc. Its better to try to choose which trainer is sending his horse out to actually try to win, and which trainer is sending his horse out to run poorly and get his handicap dropped.
Look for horses that are returning to favourable race conditions, suitable ground and distance etc, coupled with the horse dropping (because of intentional poor runs) to a mark that it won on previously.
You get big price winners this way. Leave the form book at home when looking at handicaps... They're all cowboys Ted.
The only truly run races are graded races.
100% all weather and handicaps are just lottery, as they run them at wrong distance or with claiming jockey on to disguise horses form. Your spot on with your comments, the higher the level of race the more form matters, the smaller stables make the bulk of their money from handicaps and all weather, the bigger stables dont

I know the jockey gave another explanation but it looks to me as if he thought one of the other countdown distance markers was the winning post and he had already won the race when passing it.
I just wonder if he did not want to admit that though so just made up another excuse instead.
It will be interesting to hear/read the excuse but I can't see that he mistook the winning post as his body language didn't change unlike what happened in Ireland a few years ago when the jockey celebrated passing the "wrong" winning post and pulling up. The course has two winning posts within a few yards like at Sandown where last year the judge got the wrong winning post and called the wrong result.
I think the jockey was giving the horse a tender ride and thought he had the others held as he was going easy whilst the others were riding hard and appeared to be not gaining ground. He failed to check again until it was too late.
Too many jockeys fail to ride the horse out to the line and while there are always suspicions of foul play, and this looks like one, there are too many cameras, observers and people around these days that one has to be really clever and lucky to get away with anything sinister. The jockey would have known the camera would be focussed on him on the run in.
Far easier to cover the horse up in a jumps race and present him on an awkward stride to hit the fence/jump awkwardly and lose ground.
Anyone that criticises this ride will be told by the horse racing community that we don't understand horse racing 😀😀😀😀

Why was he banned? Because he pulled the horse up before the fence? Maybe the horse was exhausted. Maybe it wasn't traveling right. I know in Europe they have to push the horse until it drops dead or breaks it neck over a fence. POOR ANIMAL.
I've seen plenty of non trying jockeys before but this one takes the biscuit. Cheating bastard.

I think he said that he thought the horse didn't feel right after jumping the last so he let it cruise to the line, or something like that.

And a jockey got banned for 6 effin months in Ireland a couple of months back during "lockdown" - for the crime of bringing someone along with him to the racecourse; who was "unauthorised" to be there, or some "violation" or another of them bollox "restrictions".... Camera angle makes it looks worse. He jumped that last same time as another horse, and was behind it all the way from there on in. at 0:29 he was behind. at 0:32 two horse are ahead, improved to finish 2nd, but that horse that won was a surprise turn off foot. BAd concentration I'd say .

That is shocking, the future of horseracing is under immense scrutiny already without this clown.
Everyone is saying its corruption and he threw it. I'm not so sure, I think he was trying to have a very cool ride and just win it by a diminishing margin but he simply misjudged it, as soon as he realised the other horse had gone ahead he started riding but it was too late. Not everything is automatically 'corruption', like people always claim on these videos. They assume every mistake a jockey makes in horse racing is throwing the race and proves the sport is bent. I see this as a misjudgement, if he wanted to lose, there's plenty of other ways to lose than do this right at the end of the race...

Most of the non triers are usually buried out the back of the field, that I can just about accept, you can usually pick a lot of them before the race and cross them out, but this throwing certain victory away in the run up to the line is shocking!
