The Road King Special is more than a bar hopper or place to place. I've put 22,000 miles on mine (2021). From Indiana to Montana and back. Indiana to Texas and back. This IS the ultimate touring machine.
RKS all day long. Congrats and enjoy! I can’t get enough of mine and ride it as much as possible! All black, modern/retro look, plenty of power, comfort, and versatility w/ or w/out a windscreen. I had a Garmin GPS wired to the headlight and have been riding mine all over Italy, France, and beyond. Can’t wait to cruise it through the SW desert when I move back to Vegas in a few yrs. Still haven’t put the windshield on I got, but you will most likely want one for long hwy rides above 60-70. Outstanding performance (power/handling), has the looks I like (turns heads), and none of the extra stuff I don’t care for. Welcome.
I’m on the fence between a King and a Fatboy for my around town, hanging out bike. My RG loves eating miles but she can be a little cumbersome in the city or short trips. Will definitely follow this build while I figure out what’s next as well. Great video!
All hail The King.....Congrats Mac!! I had a 20 RKS all blacked out and got rid of it for a 21 RK standard in Crimson and White. I absolutely love it and with all the chrome....it truly is fit for a King.
Very nice. I wish the trikes(we have a 23 Freewheeler, which basically is a 3 wheeled Road King) had that color. I still love ours but there should be more choice.
Cant wait to see what you will do to it. I also document my RKS upgrades on my YT channel and it is always great to connect with fellow RK rider. All the best man
I put Bassani exhaust AND header pipes on, S&S 3 stage oil pump / cam plate / 465 cam / hydraulic tappets / tappet cuffs / cam chain tensioner, adjustable lifter rods, Thundermax tuner. Now, the stock handlebars suck, I switched it out with 14" spearhead bars (black) and what a difference in ergonomics. I also installed a windshield - well worth it.
I have a 2022 RKS. It’s the best of both worlds around town and a quick 500 miles trip. Fun bike I painted it 2017 SRT jeep granite gray with a mild 128. Anything over 500 miles I used the RG.
Positive vibes to you bra ✊🏿 im buying my first bike in about a month im torn between the king, street glide and that mf shark, I don’t planning on going cross country or anything just back home to Miami, Daytona and around Orlando where I live now it’s a tough decision bra. Boy them road kings nice I’m just thinking about the rain I know I can put audio on it the other 2 bikes have it plus fairing. I love how them kings look tho 🤔
Very nice. I just test rode one back to back with a Road Glide and Low Rider ST and instantly fell in love with the Road King. That’s the one for me too. Planning to trade my 23 Sportster S and 22 Kawasaki Versys in for one. Love that thing.
I have a black one. That was very hard to find in 2022. Funny thing is I found several dealers at the time with green ones but nobody could get a black or plum RKS.
I got a 17 Street Glide and a 16 Freewheeler. Soon as im done with adding a few more pieces to the Freewheeler. Im getting a Road King. Itll be my fast bike. The other two i use to pound miles on
I’ve owned two Ultra Classics, a Street Glide and an Ultra Limited. Being older, I started to feel the weight of my full bagger…..so, I decided to go with a Road King (2014 with 5200 miles, a barn find) and I could not be happier. This bike is way more fun to ride than my baggers since all I’ve ever owned was a fairing mounted Harley. The visibility is amazing, being lighter makes for a more nimble bike, plenty comfortable and classic looking. Absolutely more regrets for me….love The King!
Bruh I got mine back in February, it came with 16inch handlebars at first I thought I didn’t want them but I commute 100 Miles round trip to work and when I hit that Highway it definitely shows it’s royalty. Like you said is sexy everyone have to turn to look. I’m coming with the FXRT fairing probably and from there I will get crazy that’s the reason I’m taking my time. You enjoy yours and maybe one day we meet and ride together. Be safe be Blessed. Later…
Please get yourself a removable windshield....
You won't regret it.

beautiful bike
I bought a 23 Road King Special, in all black, and then dressed it up a bit. Love this ride. Handles phenomenally.
Seriously thinking about trading my street glide for a Road King. Love the look of the king.

Welcome to the King Club! Great color and looking forward to seeing the build
Love the RK. Sold my SG for a Fat Bob. Will buy the RK for the looks, bags and shield when I want to chill on longer rides. Congrats man
I put $25k into my Road King Special already and I have guys with street glide and road glides wanting to trade their bikes in for a RKS.
looking hard at a road king special, test rode a 23 at the dealership and dont want the lowrider st anymore. king or bust XD
Its a reason why its called the road king because its king plain and simple i have a 06 king and i love mine to death cant go wrong with a king ever
Nice one FAM!
I have the 2021 road king special all I can say it's a great bike I love it
It's a beauty . I have a 22 RKS and it serves it's purpose on them long rides. The Cadillac fits in every where
Nice bike reminds me of Million dollar Bogans
Annnd, that's a beautiful bike...

I had the new Fatboy and loved it but definitely prefer my new roadking to it. Just more versatile than the Fatboy but just as sexy and fun.
All hail The King.....Congrats Mac!!

What bars are those?
Best color bro!
awesome choice, congrats on your new bike.
Cant wait to see what you will do to it. I also document my RKS upgrades on my YT channel and it is always great to connect with fellow RK rider. All the best man
Nice one.
I’d drop a 135 crate motor in it & it would rock and be done .
I would have had them do that before you left the dealership & it would’ve been under warranty too.
Iam glad to see the king in the line up and to change it up can't wait to see the build 😮

Very nice !! I ride a 2019 Silver Road King with after market fairing match color with receiver. I do love it . Can’t wait to see your changes .

Ehhh idk man. I could see you better on a breakout. But if you’re happy with the king that’s what matters.
Those Triple OG Bars might be 🔥🔥🔥🔥.. Yeah some Pull backs 🤔 18" or 20"
Love the bike, Drop the bags and go short shot exhaust. 2 inch z bars and let him eat.
Your reasoning for not wanting competition between bikes makes perfect sense to me. Road King gang 🔥
Beautiful bike
Get the wind splitter vented windshield and the 7” headlight trim ring
I like a road king with a color matched or tinted windshield and chrome spoke rims….that’s sets them off
I changed my speedometer on my road king. To one that has a tac and speedometer don’t regret it at all. One of my favorite upgrades to the bike.
Welcome to the Roadking family brotha. Excited to see where the king takes ya.
Had several HD’s and my ‘16 RK has been the best all around bike
122 kit
How much power do they make?
Thats my next Harley! I cant wait to see what you do with the KING 👑
I got 2! a 17 and 21 you can do so much, it’s a excellent starting point! Good luck! Can’t wait to see the changes🤙🏼

Thanks brother. How tall are you referencing the bars
@@officialmac 16 inches
Is that a NEW CVO in black and yellow?
No that one is a custom paint
Are those the stock bars?
Yes
I have the same bike and color. Just did a 132 big bore kit on it but waiting on my throttle body from HPi.
Nice!
Good decision to go with the king for your purposes. My kids taking his fat boy, so I’ll be looking for a second bike and I was thinking KING myself.
Will follow your king build. Budgets the number one thing. I like how you stack up your upgrades and give us a fairly good ballpark prices
Gonna try and keep this in a sensible budget on this one! Thank for the follow
