Are we gonna ignore that the F2004 lapped only 0.3 secods slower than the race lap record of Bottas? I mean, the Ferrari had to execute a fricking standing start in the process 🤯🤯
The hell with the cars. Man this was some really nice editing for with replay cam. Others just lazily record a stale replay with bad angles. This was sooo god. Thanks. Subbed.
bro the fact that the ferrari pulled a gap in the second sector over the mercedes W11, which is undoubtedly the most grippiest car in history, is kinda unrealistic imo given that the second sector is the one that requires the most grip.
Even though the W11 was a monster it was more the slow corners where the F2004 pulled away but in the fast corners for example T4 & 6 the W11 would come back a lot so it’s a lot closer than I thought tbh
F2004 is almost 140kg lighter than W11. 140kg means around 5 seconds per lap. With the slick tyres, and generally a much shorter and smaller car, plus it being the F2004, you can imagine why it was much faster through the slow corners of sector 2. You could see that through the higher speed corners like turns 2 / 4 / 6 and 7, the W11 was clearly faster. But when it came to the slow corners, the F2004 was on another level. Also F2004 had traction control which would give it much better drive off the slow corners than W11.
@@mohammadhosainusofimotlagh6168 traction control doesn’t mean it would have better drive of the slow corners, if the driver is good enough (which they would be) then they can modulate the throttle to give max acceleration for the given grip, traction control doesn’t give you more grip, it just works it out for you and makes life easier. For amateurs, traction control would help, not for the best drivers on earth, wouldn’t make them quicker anyway, just a bit easier
@@napalmhotdog4365 there's always a bit of laptime that the drivers lose on the mid corner to make sure they square off the corner to open the line and get the car more straight for the exit of the corner. When you don't have traction control, you always try to get the best drive off the corner by straightlining the exit which also helps the rear tyre wear. But if you look at the early 2000 cars, the drivers always use much tighter lines than what we see nowadays, because they can floor the gas on the exit. With TC you can always push harder on corner entry, whilst if you do the same with the current cars, it would be so easy to spin the rear tyres on the exit and you will be forced to use a Vettel line ( V ) or a Hamilton line ( if you watch his line in Brazil turn 9 and Hungary turn 5 you'll know what i mean ).

Because slicks are probably worth 4 seconds on a dry track and because F1 cars were still light and nimble in 2004. Not, Indy Car type whales of today.
this is never going to be accurate since the way devs implement grip is a variable meaning it could just be set standalone grip or (the more common way) just increase the downforce without the drag and call it a day meaning unless we actually see the f2004 on slicks beat the w11 the w11 is gonna reign king as the fastest f1 car to ever exist
