It will be interesting to see the May Pang documentary, hopefully when it is released over here. That adds another dimension to the different perspectives on the John & Yoko years.
Excellent as always, Antony! I picture Coleman and Goldman as the two grumpy guys from the Muppets. Based on their interview together. See you in part 3. Take good care.
If John didn't have borderline personalty disorderI, I'll be a buggered. He was crying out for help but nobody had a clue. He was missing his Mam, his Dadand then he found Yoko She was the closet thing to forever he'd ver experienced. All John wanted was forever.
I love your podcast, thanks so much for posting them here! I''m also a massive Phil Ochs fan. He said LSD was introduced to NYC by the CIA to quash the anti-war movement. Phil met Lennon and did some protests with him (Phil's best friend at the time was Jerry Rubin). Have any of your podcast episodes mentioned Phil? There is a YT vid of Phil nervously singing Chords of Fame to Lennon.
Hi, glad you like the podcast. I don't think I have mentioned Phil Ochs, no, and in fact his career has largely passed me by. Maybe you could post a favourite song here? All the best

Excellent, as always. Just one point: the theory of evolution as it relates to humans suggests that we, and monkeys, apes etc, evolved from a common ancestor, not that one species evolved from another. That is why monkeys today are not evolving into humans, we took divergent paths. 1:10:31 Having said that, there is some evidence that other primates are evolving, culturally at least, through interaction with humans. For instance, by learning rudimentary sign language which they are then able to pass amongst themselves. If you want something really out there, then investigate Aquatic Ape Theory. I'm sure this would have interested John.
Greetings Antony, Have You seen the John Lennon Movie called Rubber Soul??? (its available to view on You Tube) -Hope You do a review or an interview with the director Jon Lefkovitz. -Cheers ✌️

Do you mean in England? I may actually venture to the cinema for the first time in years
Hopefully, we'll get it in Liverpool at least.

Hooray, another installment! Been waiting for part 2
Good. And there'll be a part 3 now, thanks to Coleman and Goldman 😁

Additionally, there is evidence showing some primepapes use stone tools in the wild.
Cheers for that Tony. Yes, I've heard of Aquatic Ape Theory. I think you and I go out there to similar places sometimes 😁
I must say your podcast is fascinating as a big john fan it's a never ending pot of wonderful
Thanks, I appreciate that 😁 Like John, I'm endlessly curious
He is one of my three personal heroes in life I would have loved to have met.

Hi Ernie, someone else also recommended this film to me. I'm watching it now and will comment on it in the next show intro

He really has got a nose like wurzel gummage.. 😂😂😅
If I had to choose between Lennon's nose or Wurzel's nose I'd pick Lennon's nose any day 😉
If they were with prostitutes then they probably wouldn't tell their female friend
