Great show. Many thanks, JT, Paul and Ian.
I have so many happy memories of the conventions I attended in the 1980s and 90s. Yes, we had the best time. I remember James Bree being achingly funny talking about bowel movements. As the years go by, I find I have less and less desire to go to a convention now. Who would be there that I would want to see from the modern series? Who would be the equivalents of Stephen Thorne, Phillip Madoc and William Gaunt, to say nothing of Patrick, Jon, Nick, Richard and Lis. Happy times and places.

RTD views of older Dr Who fans is the same way Kier Starmer views the Working Class. They both Hate their supporters.
RTD was so delusional that he genuinely thought he could REPLACE US!😂
“Bye, bye old fans. This show is no longer for you but for my type of people. Those that share my World view”.
It turns out not that many😂
Never has a man deliberately set out to destroy something so wonderful just to spite the fans who love the show. No intention of writing a good story. No intention of hiring good actors. As long as it contained his messaging that was all it needed to do. Hired a 30yr old Black Gay man to play the Doctor as a 30 yr old Black Gay man. It’s a nasty vindictive thing to do. He will pay the price with total failure but he will then move on. Unfortunately, Dr Who’s future will be destroyed. Only a long rest can help it now.

R.I.P. Dame Maggie Smith a true, natural talent. Loved her in Downton Abbey and the Potter Movies. My first memory of her was in Clash of the Titans.
JT you're right today's Acting 'talent' don't even come close to the likes of Maggie. We've been so privileged to have had so much talent gracing our Screens, Radio and Cinema. Something today's generation will never ever get to experience

Until the unhinged ideology that has taken hold of our society finds itself another universe, there can be no hope for anything that we hold dear, let alone for Doctor Who.
Many thanks, JT, Paul, and Ian; all the best for now.

Remeber the days when what matter most about a person was their character. Who they were not what they idenitifed as. Yes there was some terrible prejudice and abuse particularly towards the gay community but now it's swung to an extreme where every person is encouraged to view themselves as special through the lens of sexuality. Character is more important than sex but you wouldn't think so anymore. It's very sad and has almost become a reversal of discrimination.

Great to hear the team share a view I hold about Capaldi. Besides being a brilliant actor and Doctor he is one very intelligent and aware individual and knew when to get out and to stay out. That man is an absolute legend in my opinion. He makes Tennant and some others look like teenage sooks.
Legion of fans is spot on for sure. To me a large part of the problems stems from the attitudes and sense of entitlement modern day actors and showrunners possess. That and the fact they are all so annoyingly overtly precious. They would rather hold glasses of fine champaign at awards nights then have a pint in the bar with some fans. And they are so easily to be offended whilst at the same time castigating the rest of us and being instructed to eat grass. BAA!

I'm looking forward to the Carry on Screaming Who's Views.....Jon Pertwee was great in that. I loved the chemistry between Corbett, Dale and Butterworth ( the FIRST other Time Lord ). Their interaction when they arrive at Kenneth Williams' House are hilarious "Here abouts" "We're Police Officers" "Or layabouts".....classis

Sorry I missed the show last night JT. Catching up today. RIP Maggie Smith. I didn't even know that Toby Stephens was one of her sons. If the rumours were true about him auditioning, he should have been The Doctor, instead of that useless plank of wood Gatwa. Toby was great in Black Sails.

Dollars to doughnuts this spin off will be nothing but a Climate, pollution advert.
I think the pollution story in Whittakers 'squat' in Dr Who was Madagascar....
I wanted to chew my legs off listening to all of Jodie's constant yapping. The only character I liked was Bradley Walsh's ' Graham O'Brien.
One of my many criticisms of Who since 2005 was the dumbing down of many of the Monsters such as the Sontarans.....a monster with an unseen backstory that has so much potential and they've crapped all over them

Was the Madagascar ep the one where they go to the bottom of the Indian Ocean Plastic Patch?
Guilt trips over things that don't exists. If you actually went to the patch the plastic density is such that if you filled your entire house with seawater from that area you are likely to get ZERO plastic particles and that plastic piece would be measured in microns.
Sick of the guilt trips and moral messaging.

Doctor Who needs to be serious drama with scifi, take it off the air for 5 - 10 years, get rid of everything, bring new team and different studio. RTD is a self serving virus.

I remember Lis telling the story Ian told of her having to leave a hotel when the fire alarm went off. The detail that stuck in my memory was that she was wearing a Minnie Mouse nightie.

I'd much rather rewatch the Jodie episodes than this new disney disaster atleast the Jodie Whittaker era was something new and different I know this will be controversial and that's totally fine but I thought Jodie Whittaker was the last proper british Dr. Who with this new era it's going backwards no progression RTD is repeating the same things he's done just with new people it's predictable and boring and feels very americanised.
I believe Dr. Who could still be good but RTD needs to go and be replaced by someone with ambition, who is willing to take risks as a writer and who is not a fan but respects the history another Philip Hinchcliffe type.

As bad as the Whittaker era was it wasn’t as turgid as the Ncuti era. Season 1/Series 14 was the worst in the show’s history.

Sorry guys missed show last night but picked up this morning. Always great relevant content and a heart felt tribute to Maggie Smith. The greats are leaving and now left with this, whatever this is. I heard the phrase Pale Male Stale this week, so this is where we are now. We would all get on better if agenda's weren't forced. I was a key worker working a Covid 19 vaccine during the pandemic. People have learned nothing from that experience. The world is at war physically and in thr cyber world. Shame on people.

Thanks for explaining the shot of Tom Baker with Maggie Smith I kept seeing., I never knew they appeared on screen together. If they wanted to save the show they should cast an actor of the calibre of Toby Stephens for Doctor 15 but hiring the best actor for the role is the least important aspect according to RTD. Also JT growing up I only had one uncle who was a vegetarian so I assumed all vegetarians loved tofu because they lost their sense of taste.
