- Join me as I hike and wild camp on the incredible Edale Skyline. A 20 mile walk in the Peak District along the top of the Edale Valley. Taking in views of Win Hill, Crookstone Knoll, Edale Moor, Brown Knoll, Mam Tor, The Great Ridge, Lord's Seat, Rushup Edge and ending at Lose Hill.
It was exhilarating and wonderful with spectacular views, despite later finding out we were doing it in the middle of Storm Malik!!

Thanks for showing me more of England. That wind was indeed very rough. It is 20 deg F here today with snow on the ground. Much different than in England. I liked the tent but not something you would carry on a thru hike. Hope you warmed up OK in the auto. John from MI
Thanks John, yes we warmed up and recovered quickly 😁 The tent was certainly great for a one nighter, but I definitely wouldn't carry it on a longer trip as it was a lot heavier than the BA - it was great having extra space though!

I just love to start my Sunday mornings with your videos, sets the tone for the rest of the day.
I’m amazed at your stamina, both of you, the scenery is beyond compare but for me the wind and cold would prove to be too much, I left Canada for that reason and have never regretted it. Most people will think I’m nuts but give me a hundred degree day anytime.
Beautifully filmed and love Derek’s sense of humor, you two fit together perfectly.

It certainly made it tougher Anita, there were a few moments when we were struggling with motivation as it was just head down sometimes and carry on - but the views were worth it and all I kept saying to myself was 'it could be worse - it could be raining too' 😆

What a great adventure! So fun to watch and the sky on the first day was beautiful with those clouds and the sun peaking through. I honestly expected to see Derek do a peek-a-boo when you filmed the rock with the narrow hole in it 😂 and your campsite looked great! What a shame the weather rolled in and took away any photo ops. Glad you had that tent, looked cozy 🥶😶🌫️😍 and glad you were able to stay warm once in the sleeping bags. Loved seeing so many familiar sites, always makes me miss England even more. Thank you as always for a beautiful video 💚

You are indeed a trooper, Mary. I would've turned around due to the wind and humidity...it just cuts right through me. Nice tent, but I don't think you should take it anymore. It's haunted, after all. 🤣

This last weekend, I followed the Pennine Way up to the summit of Kinder Scout and then over to look down at Kinder Downfall. Those sudden gusts are no joke. I eventually saw a tiny Christmas tree on a hill upon hills, which seemed like a good time to turn around and head back. I think Jacob’s Ladder was actually worse on the way down, somehow. Ouch.

All during the first day part of the video I was wondering where you guys would find a place to camp out of the wind. That must be a real challenge in that part of the country. Hence the term "wild camping" that you use in the UK. It looked like "wild hiking" for that matter. But the scenery is fantastic!
