I had a dream last night where this run failed right at the end because the Dr. accidentaly bought a legendary Joker called "Gajimbo" that gives xmult equal to the current ante, and when this was pointed out to him by the chat he ragequit Balatro forever.
@SomeGalNamedEve Take Chad's face from the "virgin vs Chad" meme, make it look like perkeo, and then truncate it horizontally to one third the original length and rotate it clockwise by like 15 degrees. That's Gajimbo.
I legitimately got emotional at the end when he said that we were all a part of Balatro University. I wasn't expecting to shed tears over this run. Absolutely legendary, thanks Professor.
The mad doctor actually did it. Ante 39 without Perkeo. Every decision mattered. Every key inflection point. We got a little greedy. We got a little lucky. In the end, the law of averages won out. As it turns out, money CAN buy you happiness...at least in Balatro. GG DrSpectred!

Damn, we were so worried about ante 32 for no reason. You reached enough before it even got to the final 2 cards, meaning that you didn't even need the Cryptid LOL
You know, if any modders are looking for QoL things to add, consider having Joker loadouts. How I imagine the feature is that you have all your Jokers in a certain order for scoring as high as possible and you press a button for [Save 1]. Then you have a certain way they're ordered optimized for the shop, you organize them and hit [Save 2]. Then you have an order to maximize money during the first few hands, and hit [Save 3]. Then you can just click [Load 1], [Load 2], and [Load 3] to automatically return to how you set them up there. Obviously it would have to be disabled during the "flips/shuffles all jokers" boss, but I can see this being nice for when you're deep on a technical run like this, and have a very cluttered joker bar. Seeing as how the most important positioning is usually related to Blueprint/brainstorm, I can imagine the feature even being able to account for when you add pointless negatives and automatically dump them on the far right side of the joker bar if they weren't there when you made a loadout.
I’ve see the vod even though I haven’t seen the video and I must say, I always knew you played League of Legends just never had proof lmao. Mainly figured it because you used terms like “never punished” which another youtuber I watched named Pokemon Challenges also uses. And like, it was possible you learned it from him through osmosis but then I remembered how he plays league of legends and thought “what if never punishes is a league term?” And then seeing you talk about that proved it lmao.
At 2:20:42 if you go frame by frame you can kinda make out it's e304 with a couple 1.5x missing. Since the chips add another 2e3 I'd guess in the ballpark of e307, so enough to beat Ante 38 not quite naneinf (1.8e308). However, with just a bit more campfire power it would also have been naneinf on any other deck!
I sat down to try and figure this out at some point a while back, but from what I remember, even if you could lower the limit, the scoring requirement would be e325 or so (extrapolating from previous antes) which would require an insane 60 chicklets or so, with The Wall, to bring it to below e308
I still fail to see how nan is more than naneinf. Unless inf is negative, wouldn't naneinf be more by default? Like if we replace nan with X and inf with Y, is there a case where XeY < X?
At the scale you're scoring on the later Antes, a difference of 6x is essentially no difference at all - 10x is an order of magnitude (e1) so it doesn't even move the needle
Technically, yes, it would be better. In practice it hardly matters as the difference of X3 isn't going to be relevant unless the scoring is just that close. And also it's probably just aesthetically pleasing to have all those negatives stored up. So might as well lower the mental tax even more with just needing a slightly bigger number.

If the game code checked for if score not greater than (then lose), rather than if greater than (win), you would be able to go past nan
All comparisons to "not a number" come up "false." It doesn't matter if it's greater than or less than.

What Chicot actually does is divide the number by 3. My understanding is that you can't perform any arithmetic operations on nan. nan/3 = nan.
