God is represented by the statue, supported by the angelic imagery of the other statues featuring robed figures and Cupids. Her breaking God’s statue represents her moving on, breaking that part of herself that she’s ashamed of and accepting herself for who she is. Not only does that statue represent God, it’s also a manifestation of her hatred towards herself. So when she sees that she looks exactly like God with the same imperfections she’s able to move on, breaking said statue to destroy her shame and self loathing, hence why she dawns a crown at the end of the sing. idk if this has been said already but god being "left-handed" is mostly likely a reference to the latin word "sinistra" which we know is the root word for the modern english "sinister" but at the time, not only did it mean something evil or unholy/unsightly, but it was also the word used for "left"! if god being left-handed makes our singer happy, it's probably because it means there's a simpler reason such as "evil" or "unnatural" being god's default, therefore making her (our singer) less of a mistake. this cover and these lyrics BLOW ME AWAY!!! great job as always to Will and David and to this song's mixer Dictate!!!

idk if this has been said already but god being "left-handed" is mostly likely a reference to the latin word "sinistra" which we know is the root word for the modern english "sinister" but at the time, not only did it mean something evil or unholy/unsightly, but it was also the word used for "left"! if god being left-handed makes our singer happy, it's probably because it means there's a simpler reason such as "evil" or "unnatural" being god's default, therefore making her (our singer) less of a mistake.

The way it's twisted to rhyme in the English language made it hit me like it's first time again, specially "If god was a lefty, oh how happy I'd be." explained so much why he said off-hand instead of left hand. Masterful singer, masterful writer.
