Since I didnt find a comment already mentioning it. Usseewa is not only her most popular song because of it’s blatant reject of current Japanese work culture that resonates with younger audiences, but its also her first song and was released when she turned 17.
And yes the main reason she’s anonymous is because she can’t stand posting things with herself in it. Seeing her react to herself performing in the Saitama super arena during a live stream is honestly just funny.
@@bootao8089 not entirely, she did an interview as to why she wants to remain anonymous and its because during her niconico days and her love for vocaloid and wanted to see the scrolling comments on her own videos one day and then the "i tried to sing" challenge which featured a bunch of popular singers, singing vocaloid songs and was deeply impressed about all the faceless and anonymous vocaloid producers and singers. Can you imagine that song is a clue to a bit about her life? Perhaps she thinks she is ugly and doesn't wanna show herself. However, a cool theory I thought of is maybe she has vitiligo or something. The character in that song specifically seemed as if they had it considering half of her face was pale and the other side had more color. Ado is what is called an utaite (vocaloid cover artist) in Japan. She started her career at 14 posting covers of popular vocaloid songs onto TH-cam and a Japanese site called nico nico, now many of the artists she used to cover write music for her. Any ado cover or original on her TH-cam channel is great, if you want more similar music if you look up the producers who wrote her songs you can find way more music that is just as good but lacks ado’s amazing voice. One of Ado’s major influences is Sheena Ringo, an artist very popular in the early 2000s, and has quite a similar sound to her music and voice. My favourite ado video has to be ado’s cover of crime and punishment by Sheena ringo.
She only does the vocals, but part of the reason it sounds so crazy is because most of these songs are written for Vocaloid software, for a computer to sing, and so they have really crazy note and voice shifts that aren't normally done by humans because they're hard to pull off, and she's able to sing those shifts so it sounds really impressive. For example the chorus of Usseewa has ridiculous shifts between deep and head voices that are really tough to do over and over like that, but she's able to do it and it sounds really good.

You're the first reactor I've seen who's payed this much attention to her lyrics. I commend you for that. Next time, try listening to her Crime & Punishment cover and her Basket Worm cover. The former is heavy rock that involves screaming, and the latter has a sort of reggae swing to it. Even thought these genres are so far from each other, it just shows how versatile Ado's voice is
Her voice in her cover of Crime and Punishment is absolutely INSANE!! I highly recommend listening to it and pulling up the lyrics bc it just THAT good!!
So glad more people are recognizing Ado. My first experience with Ado was when a manga character was singing Usseewa. I would love to see you react to some of her other songs specifically Godish and other vocaloid covers of hers
now THIS is a professional way of reacting to video, actually reading the lyrics, listening to how she expresses the lyrics and the way she sings most of the reaction vids I saw was just them vibing to the song not knowing what the singer is even saying, someone even thought Gira Gira was an upbeat song
Check out Readymade if you want to see Ado doing sort of electroswing with a strange baseball motif going off in the background. Missing is also great! I'm sure you caught all the fantastic lyrics in Gira Gira, like "I shine and swallow the dark of the night" and "Loneliness is my gasoline" and she acknowledges she cannot remain the way she has been and has to grow and shine on!
She's literally the first vocalist I'm genuinly excited about, I usually only listen to Dubstep and other heavie electronic music without any lyrics, but that rage just hits me differently then any popstar or metal growl ever has. Also, I have like no attentionspan and her constant switchup of vocal technique is genuinly engaging.
One of my favorite songs by ado is "Ashura-Chan" again, the vocals are so powerful and just amazing and "Osmanthus" is more of a calm song but also beautiful performance
her rabuka cover too, one of my favourites. rabuka and readymade give off such jazzy vibes. bocca della verita on the other hand I believe really shows off the control ado has with her voice. a really wonderful cover if I've ever heard one, it blew me away the first time I heard it.
Hey man, Ado has SUCH a large catalogue of INSANE songs, even not on her own albums. "Love Ka?" is insane! She also has a playlist of cover songs on her Channel, most of which are gold! Go to the playlist that's called 歌いました (literally Tried to Sing) My favorite song of her Album has to be ラッキーブルート (Lucky Brute) and I won't spoil the song, just listen and get blown away.
Nice reaction. Ado is an amazing singer. If you like her growl and powerful voice the best thing you can get recommended is her cover of "Crime & Punishment". It's completely insane, check it out if you can
I just want to mention, I really appreciate that you are not just a reactor, and are actually cutting parts out as not to just have the entire song as well as going back and relistening to sections
Truely agree with you, ado has the best written songs! They has a VERY deep message, but it's covered under this cool beat, that can attreact everyone, she can sing every music genre! Her voice abillities are much over every single singer I know, not only japanese. I'm so glad that toei animations took her to be uta in film red, it helped me know her, cuz i didn't just stay on the movie songs (which were awsome), i looked some more on her channel, and realized a huge singer!
I need to comment because Ado is literally so talented. Please check out ado and miku's song bc her vocals in that literally wow. I had that song playing on repeat for months. I would also like to recommend crime and punishment because she just hits you immediately with the vocals and I literally screamed when I heard it the first time, literal chills
If you wanna listen to more performances of her, I can very much recommend Tokyo Cannibalism and Eat. They're not on her channel, but I'm super impressed by her performances in those songs. Usseewa was her professional debut song btw, after being signed with Universal Music
Thank you for the video on Ado. For a long time I wished she would become recognized, from her Vocaloid covers I listened long ago, and now she is all over, and she deserves it. She cooperates with incredible composers and people in the community like Giga, Syudou, and more. Syudou's composition and edgy style on Usseewa is one of the biggest parts of it besides her amazing voice. The Vocaloid community and Ado created a powerful killer force. Both her "rage" songs and "gentle" songs are incredible...
heyo just found you from some youtube recommendations ;p gira gira is one of my favorite songs. I think people already said she doesn't write, but what I love about her is she paints her own story in the music with her voice. She's not the only singer that can do this also but she's definitely my favorite one that can. Every song brings a different emotion to it because of how she styles it. I'm sure you already know this cause of seeing film Red (unfortunately I haven't seen it yet). I would recommend giving the cover of God-Ish by Ado a listen, as well as Love me, Love me, Love me by Miori Celesta, and then there's Trash Panda a small metal group. I honestly could give a million more ado suggestions, but anyways. Enjoyed your commentary :D
If you liked the sound of her rapping I would recommend her song Ashura-chan and if you really want to be wowed by her vocal talent check out 神っぽいな 歌いました I’ve been an Ado fan for a while glad that the rest of the world is starting to notice her voice.
ADO IS AMAZING!!! Every single song she sings is like INSANE!! If you heard her sing God-ish, you realise her vocal range is good!! LITERALLY, God-ish sounds like multiple people sang it when it's only her???? HER VOICE IS ALSO SO UNIQUE. Personally, my favourite song is eien no akuruhi/eternal coming day since its such a drastic difference to most of her popular songs like ashura-chan and usseewa. It's so heartbreaking and the emotion on her voice is just so raw(?) LIKE YOU CAN FEEL IT IN YOUR HEART. I cannot stress enough of the fact that Ado's voice is super unique and strong. Usseewa is based off of like the work-ethic in Japan. How even though you were the best in your class/school, you'll still be an offica worker like the rest. I think Odo is similar? Most of the songs have quite similar meanings. Ashura-chan is about how people lie on the internet and are always doing it for the money. Gira gira is about how the person is insecure on how they look, saying that its unfair and that they cannot find love in that way. "Made by gods left-hand" can portray that since its the non-dominant hand. But then it eventually turns to be that the person accepts their flaws as how they are. "If I find, God's a lefty I can't say how happy I'd be" it shows that she realises that God made her that way and she accepts her flaws and eventually becomes more confident and doesn't care about what people say about her. In that moment of the mv, she is seen holding a hammer and smashing statues which represents how she doesn't care anymore.
Please check out “missing”, Odo (live performance), God-ish & ussewa (piano version) they all show Ado’s insanse vocal range ❤❤❤. Also these are some of Ado songs that are really good but aren’t on her channel, “Osmanthus” & “Freudmeta”.
I suggest listening to these other songs on her channel if you're doing a part two "Ashura-Chan" "ラブカ?" "神っぽいな 歌いました" all three showcase further how varied her voice can be and how skillful she is at manipulating it
I love the strong reactions, the lyrics analyzing, the re listening making sure you point things out or emphasize, and just vibing. Love Ado and this reaction vid. ❤
Ado is an amazing singer, I love how all her songs have a different genre and her insane vocal range. If I had to recommend other songs for you to react, it would definitely be Readymade and Ashura-Chan
I swear, this album is INCREDIBLE. This shit is whole another level, the production, her voice, the whole freaking thing is literally unbelievably good. Thanks for the video, you seem very nice ;p
i absolutely adore ado, her voice is absolutely amazing!! another artist i suggest you listen to is miyashita yuu, he’s one of my favorites and has incredible range (and he’s self taught to boot)
when I was listening to Gira Gira, i groove and just dance around while reading the lyrics translation. When the music stop, took me a minute to process everything that I just heard and almost teared up when I realize how relatable it is lol
My favourite songs of her are shikabanese in collaboration with Jon yakitori, her kamippoina cover and ready made they are the best I’m glad ado is getting more recognition around here
Ado has such amazing vocal control I love hearing her music every time. I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on Tsukuyomi - Sing the moon and Tsukuyomi - Mayday definitely not as strong as Ado but very pretty songs that tell their own stories.
This is the first react of Ado that the listener paid close attention to the lyrics. I loved your vid! I would say to listen to Motherland, but I'm not sure if there's translation to the lyrics of that beautiful song. So instead, I'll recommend "yoru no pierrot" (夜のピエロ). It's an original of hers and I love not only the melody but the lyrics. If you listen, I hope you like it! Thank you for the amazing reaction! ❤
watching the One Piece Red film was a must for me, not only because I recently caught up with the manga but more so because I knew Ado would do the songs and they were always destined to be bangers
I recommend you."永遠のあくる日(Eien no Akuru Hi)", which means "Eternal Tomorrow" This is the answer song for Gira Gira & I personally love her cover of "罪と罰", which means "Crime and Sin" The original is by Ringo Shiina, one of queens of J-POP I'm sure you'll be definitely blown away
the first song, odo, was produced by GIGA. this dude has some of the coolest club and dance songs out there, the kind of things even people who dont normally like that scene will dance to. she has a cover of another song of his, ready steady. if you wanna hear some of his original stuff, i recommend bring it on, luvatory, getcha, or electric angel
you should check out her cover of kamippoi na/ god-ish by pinocchiop. it demonstrates her vocal range so broadly. fun fact: ado originally was a cover artist called 'utaite'. when she did a cover of 'kamippoi na' it was a long time since she covered a song!
I highly recommend checking out Ado's cover of the song "Kamippoi na" ... She REALLY flexes her vocal range in that one. Even if its not an Ado original, it's absolute fire.
A little bit of background about the lines “Pour drinks when glasses are empty/take off the skewer so it’s easier for everyone to eat” in Usseewa: In places like Japan and Korea, the work culture pressures workers to go out with their coworkers and bosses to drink after work often (even if they have work the next day and are expected to come in). Not drinking/denying going out drinking is considered disrespectful (although declining is more common and accepted now in Japan)
You should check out songs like godish, crime and punishment, rasen, love ka, shikabanese, your no Pierrot (and the remix), ussewa (piano version), aitakute and many others like rebellion, darling dance, freedom as well
The REMIX of odo is also one of my favs! On her channel, her vocaloid covers of rabuka and love is war are GOD TIERRR, and on chogakusei’s channel, they did a collab for eraser girl that is also amazing.
You can check out readymade, asura chan and yoru no pierrot! she actually collaborates with vocaloid artists like syudou (usseewa), Deco*27, teddyloid etc!

HER MUSIC IS AMAZING IM SUCH A HUGE FAN!!! IM SO GLAD YOU REACTED TO HER
now THIS is a professional way of reacting to video, actually reading the lyrics, listening to how she expresses the lyrics and the way she sings
most of the reaction vids I saw was just them vibing to the song not knowing what the singer is even saying, someone even thought Gira Gira was an upbeat song
preciate you!
She didn't write her songs but she delivers songs emotions best way I have ever heard she is ethereal
She just had a live concert if you wanted to check out the live version on yt of Odo it's visceral and beautiful, don't know how else to describe it
One of my favorite songs by ado is "Ashura-Chan" again, the vocals are so powerful and just amazing and "Osmanthus" is more of a calm song but also beautiful performance
I think everyone should watch the music videos that go with these songs because they are just as AMAZING as the songs.
Readymade, Bocca della Verità, 乙女解剖 (Otome Kaibou), and her God-ish cover are also amazing
her rabuka cover too, one of my favourites. rabuka and readymade give off such jazzy vibes.
bocca della verita on the other hand I believe really shows off the control ado has with her voice. a really wonderful cover if I've ever heard one, it blew me away the first time I heard it.
Hey man, Ado has SUCH a large catalogue of INSANE songs, even not on her own albums. "Love Ka?" is insane! She also has a playlist of cover songs on her Channel, most of which are gold! Go to the playlist that's called 歌いました (literally Tried to Sing)
My favorite song of her Album has to be ラッキーブルート (Lucky Brute) and I won't spoil the song, just listen and get blown away.
She's one of my favourite artists of this century, definitely will have pages in my memory for her.
Nice reaction. Ado is an amazing singer. If you like her growl and powerful voice the best thing you can get recommended is her cover of "Crime & Punishment". It's completely insane, check it out if you can
I suggest "Readymade" that song is my fav and also is about complaining to the work culture over there. 🙏
She doesn't write her lyrics, but she does chose the lyrics she resonates with.
Im such a big fan of Ado and glad you did a reaction to her! I recommend her songs "Readymade", "Motherland", and definitely "Eien No Akuruhi"
I just want to mention, I really appreciate that you are not just a reactor, and are actually cutting parts out as not to just have the entire song as well as going back and relistening to sections
I will listen to all of her songs 24/7 from now on. 🙏💯
There is also Backlight from the film, Crime and Punishment (cover), god-ish (cover)
YASSS SHE DESERVES MORE ATTENTION ! HER RANGE IS ACTUALLY INSANE
Bro I only knew ados ussewa from ColorfulStage I didn’t know her music was this much of a bop 😭
Both her "rage" songs and "gentle" songs are incredible...
if you want to know more about Ado there is a very good video called "A helpful guide to Ado"
her vocal range is amazing like fr, i can sing most song with high note but not many her song i can cover
One more song that I absolutely and 100% recommend is "Readymade". Its the second Ado song I´ve listened to after Usseewa, and its a banger.
his reaction when first time hearing Odo is exactly the same like me
heyo just found you from some youtube recommendations ;p gira gira is one of my favorite songs.
The SHEER versatility Ado can make with her voice makes her one of my favourite artists.
her cover of crime and punishment bangs so hard pls listen to it
If you liked the sound of her rapping I would recommend her song Ashura-chan and if you really want to be wowed by her vocal talent check out 神っぽいな 歌いました I’ve been an Ado fan for a while glad that the rest of the world is starting to notice her voice.
oh my god ado is such a big idol of mine THIS VIDEO MAKES ME SO HAPPY!! i was freaking out with you lmaoo
I’m so glad to hear it! If you’re pursuing music, keep going!
I Love Ado, AND SHE'S ONLY 19!!!! Crazy right? Glad you reacted to her
Oh and btw my favorite Ado song is Readymade!
She is 20. She started posting videos when she was 13.
Her professional debut was at 17.
She is now 20 years old.
@@松井秀喜-h6j ah right, forgot her birthday was in October!
@@ohhhh yeah Readymade is also my favorite ado song
That is wild!
I suggest listening to these other songs on her channel if you're doing a part two
"Ashura-Chan"
"ラブカ?"
"神っぽいな 歌いました"
all three showcase further how varied her voice can be and how skillful she is at manipulating it
聴いてくれてありがとうございます!ADOは絵のイラストや声のコントロールが凄いです!去年二十歳になったばかりでうっせぇわの曲はデビューで17歳の最後と聞いてビックリです!リベリオンと神っぽいなを聴いてください!
agreed, her God-ish cover is amazing!
I highly recommend her song Ready Made. It's one of the more popular ones for sure and showcases yet another different kind of sound.
I'm so glad people are finally getting into her music because she one of my fav artists
I love the strong reactions, the lyrics analyzing, the re listening making sure you point things out or emphasize, and just vibing. Love Ado and this reaction vid. ❤
Much love!
15:30 Honestly, this was my first reaction to Ado too
Ado is an amazing singer, I love how all her songs have a different genre and her insane vocal range.
Ado is like a storm in Japanese music, and she is only 20 years old.
Fun fact: she wrote Usseewa when she was 17
Gira Gira is my favorite song of hers all her songs are just so well made even the one piece ones she's just insanely talented
when I was listening to Gira Gira, i groove and just dance around while reading the lyrics translation. When the music stop, took me a minute to process everything that I just heard and almost teared up when I realize how relatable it is lol
So glad she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves, one of my favorite artists since watching that mf movie
You should react to Ado’s live performance of Odo. It’s absolutely incredible!!!
Glad I'm not the only one who became a massive Ado fan after flim Red
I love when people get so excited about Ado's music, it's so good ❤️
I was so excited when I heard Ado was in Film Red. I'm so proud of her and so glad she's getting more recognition.
Crime and punishment is probebly the song where she flexes her skill the most, my favorite.
My favourite songs of her are shikabanese in collaboration with Jon yakitori, her kamippoina cover and ready made they are the best I’m glad ado is getting more recognition around here
loved your reaction
we can see your emotions coming out to it and its great!
Ado has such amazing vocal control I love hearing her music every time.
I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on Tsukuyomi - Sing the moon and Tsukuyomi - Mayday definitely not as strong as Ado but very pretty songs that tell their own stories.
readymade is another great one, and the MVs really add to her songs
We're the same! I knew her songs from One Piece Film Red, and now I'm addicted to her other songs too 😍
EXACTLY!
I’d recommend her cover of Crime and Punishment.
She has so many great originals/covers but I recommend her "Crime and Punishment"
I recommend you."永遠のあくる日(Eien no
Akuru Hi)", which means "Eternal Tomorrow"
This is the answer song for Gira Gira
& I personally love her cover of "罪と罰", which means "Crime and Sin"
The original is by Ringo Shiina, one of queens of J-POP
I'm sure you'll be definitely blown away
Thats my countrys singer for you. ADO IS AMAZING. Thanks for the review (:
the first song, odo, was produced by GIGA. this dude has some of the coolest club and dance songs out there, the kind of things even people who dont normally like that scene will dance to. she has a cover of another song of his, ready steady. if you wanna hear some of his original stuff, i recommend bring it on, luvatory, getcha, or electric angel
I love crime & Punishment from ado. It's just so gooooood
you should check out her cover of kamippoi na/ god-ish by pinocchiop. it demonstrates her vocal range so broadly. fun fact: ado originally was a cover artist called 'utaite'. when she did a cover of 'kamippoi na' it was a long time since she covered a song!
i am in live with odo, i have been listening on repeat for hours
The song Odo was actually made for Ado by a few popular japanese artists, known as Giga, Deco27 and Teddyloid. Highly suggest those people
You can check out readymade, asura chan and yoru no pierrot! she actually collaborates with vocaloid artists like syudou (usseewa), Deco*27, teddyloid etc!
DUDE PLS DONT STOP THESE REACTIONS! If I may recommend some... Fleeting Lullaby, SteadyMade and Tot Musica from her, are absolutely insane! My favorites btw... From Brazil here but already a big fan, love your comments and the video itself! Keep up plsssss
wow... this is awesome, thank you so much for this
Nice to see Ado stans popping up everywhere
