newsflash! Gamestop is a business and needs to make money. They have to have higher profit margins than best buy on video games because they sell only games and consoles.
I drive a extra 20 minutes to Bestbuy just to not give gs money. If more people would join we could get rid of these greedy people forever. Not the workers obviously the greedy gs corporate as a whole.
A42yearoldARAB dude there will always a greedy assholes if everyone buy at bestbuys they will become Monopoly so be glad that are two companies for games
PTGKChrisHD 1- if you buy the game used for $54.99 you save $5 and get the same exact thing. 2- if you buy the game and don't like or you finish it you are able to return it for a full refund within seven days.
You are NOT saving $5, If a Game is $54.99 it means it just recently came out. Buying a Used game means you missed out on the Pre-Order Bonuses, Previous Owner already redeemed the Season Pass & Online Pass which mean you are losing more than $5. Ya Dig? Might as well Buy a New Copy for $5 more and get more. The More you Know....
PTGKChrisHD If you purchase a game for $60 it's not gonna come with a season pass first off. Second, if you didn't preorder the game there is no preorder bonus. And it doesn't always mean the game just came out when it's 54.99. GTA V came out years ago and was at 54.99 until recently.
tre97able sometimes it works that way when games are less popular than expected. Like FIFA, Madden, NBA, Dishonored 2, and many more. But at least at the GameStop i was employed at we even gave out preorder bonuses to people that would buy preowned unpopular games.
My biggest problem is it seems they will still sell games like oblivion which is like 10 years old for 20 or 30 bucks on Xbox live. But I can get it 5$ at my game store, I luckily have my locally owned game store but most people have GameStop . So I basically hate how it doesn't correlate with real prices and the online market is slow to adjust. I only bought skyrim online to pre down load it
GameStop grew out of what used to be Software ETC. They used to carry a lot of PC games. Now they don't even carry any PC games and I think they just sell downloads for the PC.
+Project Soul I haven't had a chance. Stupid holiday has had me so busy. We are also changing the marketing set at work. Part of why I have been so tired
Was gonna say the same. Why not just order them online? It is not like u need to try them on like clothes lol I dont even bother to go out and buy games anymore.
+simon alexander lol thanks man, wasn't sure how well me venturing outside of the PG style jokes would be received. Didn't want to go overboard though start cusing up a storm.
I've stopped shopping at gamestop completely.... cancelled my wow account too since blizzard has completely gone bat shit insane with their products.... thank you for saying what we're all thinking!! kudos to you!!!
+Xan W. Thanks man, I'm happy you enjoyed the video. I wouldn't say blizzard as whole. But I do think they need to take a look at wow. The subscription fee is a dated model. Back when they had to ad all these servers it made sense. But wow effectively costs more then Xbox live does for 2 years in a single year. That's completely insane at this point.
Back Pocket Game Reviews thanks for replying so fast! here's what I mean: in Diablo, adventure mode, you do five bounties and get a nice reward at the end of each act, 5 acts in total. wow : do five world quests (which was revised down to four to give the appearance of difference) and we'll give you a nice reward. Diablo has rifts and greater rifts with infinite rift level difficulty wow has mythic dungeons with infinitely increasing difficulty blizzard moved 84 people off Diablo development and put them on wow team 6 which developed legion.... no wonder wow has been Diablo'fied.....then, they make Tom chilton the game director of the unannounced Diablo project and make ion hazzifucktos the game director of wow.... so that's why wow is completely shit now (we need to take away flying because too many people enjoy that feature ... oh wait, that was the action camera ... they took away flying because they wanted us to explore every little fucking crack of ground on the continent ....who has time for that???) then their card game, completely off the rails!!!! their moba, trying to kill league of legends and failing miserably.... their shooter isn't even a true shooter.... it's all team based (with absolutely NO STORY AT ALL) (destiny is super cool, bungie knows what they're doing, but that is IMHO) Chris Metzen even said at blizzcon 2014 when overwatch was announced that they wanted to be the best IN EVERY GENRE! now they're offering salaries to pro players in heroes and overwatch as of blizzcon 2016 they've gone completely bat shit insane and honestly, nothing from blizzard in the last four years has been worth anything other than crap (but again IMHO)
+Xan W. So I loved Overwatch. I had a lot of dislike for it originally with the lack of story. But they fill that in with the animated shorts. I feel it felt fresh, it's not like a normal shooter which is what made it great. I agree the Hearthstone is a bit crazy, but it is one of the best online card games. I'm a a big Fan of Diablo as well since the original game. But I get where your coming from.
Back Pocket Game Reviews Diablo is the only blizzard game I still play.... but lately it's infrequently.... seasons are now a hamster wheel.... but I'd totally play Diablo with ya if you'd like.
I was turned off to GameStop when I went to buy Y's 7 for the PSP & the guy behind the counter looked at me like I was stupid. I asked for "ease 7" & he said "what is that?" When I told him, he looked at me, dead serious, then at his co-worker & said in a snotty attitude "you mean Y S?" & they both smirked. My kids go to GameStop from time to time, but thanks to your video, I signed up for the Best Buy program & have started buying there already. We have been doing Amazon thing for a while.
bonez269 269 I'm learning to use Best Buy & Amazon smartly. Picked up a few games between $5 - 10 after coupons/points/offers & bought Amazon cards when they were 20 - 25% off.
I just bought GTA V for $23.99 new at best buy. GameStop is closer but I go to Best buy, target, or Amazon or 1up games because I save a shit ton of money. As a former GameStop manager I can say that I've seen the light. *The bunny doesn't have a hold on me anymore.*
+JD Gaming 1050 lol nice buck refrence. As a former GS manager as well, I used to be all about GS. Then one day some one mentioned best buy gamers club unlocked. Bigger discount then what I got as a GS employee
+JD Gaming 1050 yeah I had good and bad as well. Talk about both in this channel. I left on good terms as well. I still get offers to come back as a SM. They just aren't what I want
I'm curious though, maybe the difference between new and used is based on them being on sale with GameStops Winter Sale. But STILL they should temporarily lower the used price to reflect the new sale price.
the only thing i like doing at gamestop is buying a game at pawnshop for 3 dollars and sell it to gamestop for 10 assuming they are taking it in for 10
Christian Harris you know what's funny? I found this video on youtube about how the creator was going to boycott walmart. he had a good reason for not buying games there anymore, but then he said he would shop at gamestop from then on. I told him y even bother with gamestop when you can get better deals at best buy and target, but he just got all upset.

+Sclusive thanks man I really appreciate that. I truly am thankful for everyone who joins the BPGR community. That's why I dedicate as much time as I do to my comment section!
I walked into a Gamestop for the first time in ages a few weeks ago to buy a Wii game for my daughter. All the saleswoman tried to do was upsell me. Tried to get me to buy a WiiU. Then tried to get me to pre-order a Switch. Then tried to get me to re-activate my powerup rewards card with a 30 second speech (which she clearly has said many, many times, cause she didn't even break script or stumble on her words). When I told her I wasn't a fan of Nintendo, she then proceeded to try to get me to pre-order some random shooter that's coming out next year (I don't like FPS's either). The worst part about all this was...she wasn't even ringing me up yet. She was literally standing there, with my game in her hand, talking. All I wanted was my used copy of Mario Kart for my daughter. That's it. Instead, I had to deal with literally 5 minutes of up-selling blabber before she even SCANNED my game at the register. Needless to say, It'll be a long time before I step foot in a Gamestop again.
I wouldn't mind going all digital if you actually own what you buy. for example let's say you have an Xbox live account that you bought all your games digitally then said account gets banned. you can no longer sign into that account and lose all your games. now if you bought all those games on a physical disc you own. you can make a new account and still play those games.
I would buy most of my games used at GameStop and it’s VERY different here in Canada. Here full priced games are $80 not $60 . Buying a used game at GameStop costs $65 Used but if you have GameStops premium membership ($10 a year) the game will cost $60 used. So Canadian GameStops charge $60 for Used games with their membership compared to $80
Surely solid state storage (like a buffed SD card) will be the new way to hold discs, you can play the game with the same load times as downloading it, and you're console/PC doesn't have to have nearly as large of a hard drive...
Im an amazon guy for life I have NEVER had a problem with amazon. I remember when amazon lost my halo 3 they sent me another one. Not only that the mail got back my first copy and they said I could keep it
+Raheem Amazon isn't a bad way to go. I just enjoy retail because I like to have the item in my hands when I pay for it. I do order things that I can't find in stores on Amazon. Which is probably about 4-5 things a month.
I usually just end up going to walmart. I never really thought of best buy as a place to buy stuff because for some reason I felt they were more higher end but Ill definetly take a look now.
Where do you suggest i buy games like Crash Bandicoot and Kirby for like Xbox 360 or newer councils? I debated ebay, but I dont know if theres a secret magical place I don't know about for used remake classic games.
My friend wanted them for her Birthday and asked for those. I assumed she had seen them as remakes for updated systems. I don't actually play games myself and assumed she knew them better.
The problem is for EB Games(named like this in Canada) when I want to find a more rare or old game they are only in used(like tales of the abyss that I will never understand how it can end up there or Okamiden that just sadden me to see it wasted like this)What I noticed about used games is great quality games get sold a lot, when they should be kept
Gamestop's Australian cousin, EB games, is the polar opposite. I'm able to pick up dirt cheap games and there are always sales. Trading them in still sucks, but overall its a much better store.
Instead of naming this channel Back Pocket Games Review, you should call it "Why I hate" because you sit there and complain about GameStop/Walmart, PS, etc. GameStop has done its share of bad, however it seems that 50% of your videos are about how you hate GameStop. You are right that some of GameStop practices are not customer friendly, however if you take the time to talk to the manager in a calm and decisive manner, chances are they will work with you. In the long run people hav to use their own mind and go to the place they feel most comfortable.
+Robert Stryker I have never complained about PS. I feel you are misunderstanding what having a difference of opinion is. But Walmart yeah I hate them. I won't even try to beat around that.
As far as I am concerned, Walmart is everything that is wrong with consumerism, I believe I said you complain, but yes, I do respect your opinion. I happen to think you are one of the more intelligent TH-camrs out there, regardless of difference of opinion and yes, everybody is entitled to their opinion, right, wrong, or indifference.
+Robert Stryker also the reason I do those GameStop videos, I was a manager for them for 5 years. It's a hard company to work with balancing keeping customers happy and corporate from not wanting to fire you for it.
Most games I buy used are games that are out of print. Or in the case of some Wii games, lack of space to just download them on the Wii U's eShop. That, and I'd likely prefer getting a physical copy.
still better prices than walmart, stays $60 for years, oh look a 360 game $60 unfortunately those my only option where I live gamestop or walmart. so I'll be sticking with gamestop
+Roven's Review & Race yeah steam Dosent have requirements only the games on it do. Your not gonna get high end at that price. But an AMD A12 would be your best bang for your buck at that price. A12 is a processor but will have a decent on board GPU
At this point I've just steered away from used games entirely unless I absolutely need to get something used. But I'm definitely jumping over to Best Buy and buying my stuff there from now on.
But will Best Buy refund a new purchased game that I opened same day that I didn't like and handed me 33$ cash back, and then I chose to buy Watch Dogs 2?
Back Pocket Game Reviews I've just never had a company work so hard to keep a customer, it's the people that make it worth while. I preorder RDR 2 not for their sake but I can't drop 60 on a game so it helps me get games I want.
Back Pocket Game Reviews they even honored a promotion that had ended because it was still advertised, but I don't think you are an idiot, I do enjoy your videos.
Back Pocket Game Reviews Yeah I get it. You made a good point or two. You still didn't convince me personally. I don't tend to buy the newest games unless I 100% love it (like the next TES whenever that will be). Some of those year old games, and older, can be dirt cheap at Gamestop.
+Jen B they are dirt cheap at Best Buy as well for a new copy. I'm pretty sure you said you don't have a BB anywhere near you though. Your in the Philippines right now right. I know you said you were going home soon? Trying to remember
Back Pocket Game Reviews I am actually going home tomorrow night. Well I will be in Cali for a few days then go home. Find the southernmost part of WV, right on the VA border. That is where I will be...still no Best Buys there either. Just a Walmart, Kmart (yes they still exist!) and a Gamestop. There was a G2K place about an hour away but...you can guess what happened to it.
I understand what ur sayin man, and ur argument is totally valid and I would even say its just plain right. however there is one thing that makes buying a used game better, and yes I am aware that gamestop allows this as some type of reward for buying used games, but the fact is u cant argue with a 7-DAY NO QUESTIONS ASKED RETURN POLICY! its so easy to exploit if u live close to any gamestop as u can return any game bought at any gamestop to any other gamestop for the FULL purchased price with in 7 days. this makes It a one time purchase-infinite rental setup, as long as u take ur game(s) back within 7 days all u have to do is rinse and repeat once a week, I made an original 70$ purchase last for 3 months of returns. every week. take back all the games and trade them for new ones over and over forever if ur diligent, and u never spend a penny beyond the initial purchase. so as long as that's goin on used games will (usually, and only at gamestop, I think) b preferable unless Its a game like dark souls 3, or bloodborne (personally) where u know u never want to b parted from it lolk rant over, but this seriously is how it works I've exploited this for over a decade now
Or I can buy the game from GameStop used, play it, beat it, and return it within 7 days and get all my money back from those rip off shills and rip them off for a change....
+Bryan Rothenstein if it's just for Games Best Buy. Amazon only gives you deals on new releases. It's also $100 a year, Beat Buy is $30 for 2 years. You can even still order online
Back Pocket Game Reviews thanks! I forgot that amazon is only for new games (first two weeks). Keep up the great work on your channel and happy holiday!
I think the main thing I took away from this video that I didn't get in the last video I commented on was GameStop is easily outdone in every market price wise is gen 6 and 7 stuff.
I live in a small town and unfortunately I don't have a bestbuy and the only alternative to my gamestop is a target or a Walmart and unfortunately target and Walmart don't have a large range of games like gamestop ....it's sucks
Shifty Aurora amazon and he mentioned best buy delivers. id look into those options. if you prefer not waiting for shipping I understand and it leaves you in a shitty position
in my preferred world games can be majority digital however the minute that a IP is no longer available for download there product is no longer protected by privacy laws thus ensuring the availability of the game high. and to ensure these games are saved for pop culture history a limited physical release for slightly more money.
+XNamelessXNill the Mass Effect Andromeda Collectors edition doesn't come with the game, it's $180. But I'm sure you'll see more of that. Or Halo 5 had one that came with a digital download code.
You know what I love the best from Gamestop??? When buying a game and they tell me "Oh, that's our last copy" and then try to charge me full price for the game while they are pulling the disc out of the drawer. I always say to them "Why are you charging me full price when the game is already open". They always have a snappy answer as if open games don't apply to them, which I always reply to them that they wouldn't allow me to return an unwrapped game as new so don't sell it to me that way. I always push them for a decent discount and if they aren't willing to agree to that I leave.
+Richard Doyle lol I had a bunch of employees attack me in the comments about that. Some store let the employees "Check out" those games. So your new copy may have already gotten played
I used to binge on pre-owned PS2 games at the tail end of its life cycle, sifting through the poorly organized bargain bins or even through the files disc envelopes, but I don't think the libraries of games weren't quite as large for Wii games or even Gamecube games when it was announced Gamestop would discontinue that console...it's nearly the same habit I had back in 2004-2005 for PS1 games but at least then I think Gamestop didn't merge with all the different chains like EB/Babbage's/Funcoland/Software etc...other than that, I'd only buy used from GS if I had a coupon which is becoming less and less often...
My main concern is that these things don't just disappear when the companies go bust, steam apparently have a back up system but they are the exception not the rule. Games are not Red Pandas they have no reason just to inevitably go extinct no when they can be so easily duplicated.
+charlie lozoya I would agree with that. I cringed so hard when they said they were getting into the retro market. I yelled no like Vader at the end of Revenge of the sith
+Brogan Heller and you just lack the ability to comprehend what is being explained. Sorry bud, plenty of other channels you can watch. Clearly more like it then don't. Also no complaining, I'm explaining for those who want to be informed consumers.
+Brogan Heller your overpaying. I can find you it cheaper new then used at GameStop 98% of the time. A lot of people think the developer get a cut of the used sales. All of this is based off popular misconceptions. I don't randomly pick something and vent. I recieved a lot of email requests to talk about certain topics. I pick what I like and even mash some together
Ok I read my comment again and it does sound like I was getting mad I wasn't I just wanted to know the bog deal some games are kinda but others they are a good deal
Best Buy isn't an option for me as it's a few towns over, not exactly worth making a trip to buy a cheap used game. You are right that they ship, and free if your order is over $35....but it excludes used games. So Gamestop it is.
Oh sweet. I'll go back to pirating my games. I'd like to cause as little damage to the gaming economy as possible. I believe it was Captain Planet who said " The power is yours!" to which He-man exclaimed I HAAVE THE POOWEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR
I'm glad your channel is growing. Gamers need to know this stuff just so they can make informed decisions on their purchases. Most of the games I like to play are from the early 2000s so I don't make new purchases very often but watching your videos still help.
Something I didn’t hear you mention is the pre order at bestbuy not totally sure if it’s all pre order games but they would give you a $10 reward certificate on top of 20% off so you’d get pre orders for 37.99 + tax (not sure if they still do this haven’t had gamers club in a while)
I went to gamestop in Sweden, where I reside and saw overwatch new when the game had just come out for 699 kr (76 us) and then I went to an electronic store called elgiganten and saw the same game new for 569 kr (62 us).
I do agree digital is starting to become the norm heavily while the Switch allows you to plug and play (Besides for like 2 minutes at most of updates) but with the ps4 and Xbox one I've just been doing digital since i'd rather just buy it digitally especially when i can get the games for practically dirt cheap with their sales instead of having to get up go outside for a 15-30 minute drive to my Local Game Stop wait in line then purchase the game another drive for the way back and sit there for hours waiting for it to download
I'm curious to why everyone keeps saying the ending of Dead Rising 4 is not included. I beat the game and I got an ending and the game is over what did I miss? I don't want to say what happens because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who may want to find out on their own but to me the ending seemed complete.
I once got a used copy of yoshi's island ds from GameStop, and guess what? It had issues where randomly it would go to a black screen with an unable to read cartridge error
Ah. I also once got a DSi from them that had a broken R button. I believe that they should actually check their products, especially since that DSi was refurbished.
+Jesse Powell Thats also from 20-40 year olds wanting to relive their younger years and buying them again. Supply is a lot less than it was due to people throwing them away. Some games like conkers bad fur day had low sales due to coming out at the end of the n64 life.
I remember going to EB games (Australia version of GameStop) to sell some of my old PS3 games that worth around $15-$30 at the time (had a good 12 games to sell) and they wanted them all for $10. So i said ''No way'' on their offer and walked out with my games in my Backpack and went to a pawn shop that was across the road from them and they offered roughly $10-$15 per a game. And soon as i walk out of the pawn shop with some cash from selling the games, One of the Employees from EB games walked out of the store and flipped me off and started cussing at me for selling the games at the pawn shop instead of selling the games to him. (I just laughed a walked away with my money)
Once I bought a used game on GameStop that costed $5 so $100 MXN Pesos which in my country costed $400 MXN Pesos so the lesson is if you are from México buy used games at GameStop if it's an old game
+Ghost 760 I know people who like it. I don't like waiting on games, I also like to own it. But if you don't have those same hang ups then yeah it's a good deal.
wow after hearing these prices. I really hate the Canadian dollar. here in Canada we pay 80$ for a new and anywhere between 20-65 dollars for used games. tho we have eb games here
I'm not calling you dumb. You make a great point about something, but I have two major issues with how you conveyed it. 1: By the time the game releases, the developers already got paid. Buying a game new gives the publisher money, and the more money they get the more likely they are to hire and give raises/bonuses to the developers. 2: Your point is only relavent to games that are still in print. Because if you want a game from something like Wii U physically, Nintendo isn't printing those anymore, so you don't really have a choice. Maybe instead of saying "Don't buy used games at GameStop", say "Don't buy recent releases used at GameStop".
Caleb_Bravo99 I never said the developer deserved money for it. I stated that was a common misconception. Which it is, a huge chunk of people believe they that the developers see revenue. Now seeing as I have done videos showing I can find a new copy cheaper on almost every game then what GameStop sells them used for, it would be insane to pay them more for a used copy then a new one. Who would you rather give money to, GameStop the guys who ripped someone off to get the used copy? Or the Developer who actually put in work to make the game. Lastly starting a response with I'm not calling you stupid, when you didn't comprehend the point I was making is kind of rude. I even stated towards the end with out of print games where Mom and Pop stores usually undercut GameStop.
I'm pretty Shure my local GameStop Dosent even check there discs to see if there scratched. I pop in my used game it won't work and I notice it's scratched and dirty.
I dunno why, but I'll always prefer physical copies of games. There's something about owning a physical copy that just gives me the feeling of "Okay, there are my like it. But this one is mine".
Buying used current gen games at gamestop is aids for real. But they do on occasion have the best prices for new releases and used 7th gen games that aren't produced physically anymore. Shopping around works wonders in life.
Tht joke would've been so good if it had better delivery 😂😂😂
Make a video about Best Buy Gamer Club Rewards since you seem really to endorse it and would be helpful to people who may consider signing up for one
HE ENDORSES EVERYTHING BUT GAMESTOP
newsflash! Gamestop is a business and needs to make money. They have to have higher profit margins than best buy on video games because they sell only games and consoles.
s74p13s News flash if you can get it cheaper somewhere else do it. No shit that it's a business we all know that.
I drive a extra 20 minutes to Bestbuy just to not give gs money. If more people would join we could get rid of these greedy people forever. Not the workers obviously the greedy gs corporate as a whole.
Haha well that works too. Anywhere but there.
A42yearoldARAB dude there will always a greedy assholes if everyone buy at bestbuys they will become Monopoly so be glad that are two companies for games

signerleo snyder I’m guessing you don’t speak English as a first languages
signerleo snyder
I understood maybe half of that
Amazon I think is the best way to go if your buying games
+Cash Brannman they aren't a bad option
Buying Used Games at GameStop is Best if it's $17.99 and Under. Who in the Blue Hell Buys used games at $54.99?
PTGKChrisHD 1- if you buy the game used for $54.99 you save $5 and get the same exact thing.
2- if you buy the game and don't like or you finish it you are able to return it for a full refund within seven days.
You are NOT saving $5, If a Game is $54.99 it means it just recently came out. Buying a Used game means you missed out on the Pre-Order Bonuses, Previous Owner already redeemed the Season Pass & Online Pass which mean you are losing more than $5. Ya Dig? GameStop grew out of what used to be Software ETC. They used to carry a lot of PC games. Now they don't even carry any PC games and I think they just sell downloads for the PC.
seth sims don’t worry 2k14 a five year old game is sold for 59.99 dollars on psn store
I don't buy anything from GameStop, new and used stuff is overpriced and the used stuff dosent even fucking work
You got a thumbs up for that joke hahahah
+Project Soul thanks man, I stay pretty clean on my channel normally but I couldn't not use it when I thought of itm
Also did you ever check out the Friday the 13th game you should get it for ps4 backpocketgaming
+Project Soul I haven't had a chance. Stupid holiday has had me so busy. We are also changing the marketing set at work. Part of why I have been so tired
Back Pocket Game Reviews you get a thumbs for having a as your picture
Thumbs up for having q as your pic
Buy a used game.. make a copy.. and return.. lulz. you have 7 days to return preowned
Endgame someone's gotta make the backups for the Pirates
Endgame Clearly wasn't meant to be taken THAT seriously. No need for your long ass story comment.
FusionFall Maina arruuugh!
get them bandanas ready lol
lol yeah i did this in the ps2 days when i was a teen
That’s Straight Up G
GameStop and Walmart are the only stores in my shithole town to buy games. And Walmart is always months late to get games.
Ray McMeme Amazon?
Was gonna say the same. Why not just order them online? It is not like u need to try them on like clothes lol I dont even bother to go out and buy games anymore.
Ray McMeme My Walmart takes 6 months for a price drop on newer games and by then I lost interest
Ryan Upchurch my GameStop barely does price drops and when they do it's just for used games
Ray McMeme have u heard of amazon
this guy got jokes. good zinger
+simon alexander lol thanks man, wasn't sure how well me venturing outside of the PG style jokes would be received. Didn't want to go overboard though start cusing up a storm.
Back Pocket Game Reviews i enjoyed it
I can return it if I don't like it that's why I like used games.
The guy in your profile picture looks like the guy on the saving and loading screen of guitar hero 2 XD
Back Pocket Game Reviews thanks for replying so fast! here's what I mean:
in Diablo, adventure mode, you do five bounties and get a nice reward at the end of each act, 5 acts in total.
wow : do five world quests (which was revised down to four to give the appearance of difference) and we'll give you a nice reward.
Diablo has rifts and greater rifts with infinite rift level difficulty
wow has mythic dungeons with infinitely increasing difficulty
blizzard moved 84 people off Diablo development and put them on wow team 6 which developed legion.... no wonder wow has been Diablo'fied.....then, they make Tom chilton the game director of the unannounced Diablo project and make ion hazzifucktos the game director of wow.... so that's why wow is completely shit now (we need to take away flying because too many people enjoy that feature ... oh wait, that was the action camera ... they took away flying because they wanted us to explore every little fucking crack of ground on the continent ....who has time for that???)
then their card game, completely off the rails!!!! their moba, trying to kill league of legends and failing miserably.... their shooter isn't even a true shooter.... it's all team based (with absolutely NO STORY AT ALL)
(destiny is super cool, bungie knows what they're doing, but that is IMHO)
Chris Metzen even said at blizzcon 2014 when overwatch was announced that they wanted to be the best IN EVERY GENRE!
now they're offering salaries to pro players in heroes and overwatch as of blizzcon 2016
they've gone completely bat shit insane and honestly, nothing from blizzard in the last four years has been worth anything other than crap (but again IMHO)
+Xan W. I play it on Xbox one. I have it on PC. But shockingly the console version is a bit better.
Edwin Quinones i use amazon for everything over ten dollars
bonez269 269 I'm learning to use Best Buy & Amazon smartly. Picked up a few games between $5 - 10 after coupons/points/offers & bought Amazon cards when they were 20 - 25% off.
Errrrr, Y's is not obscure, neckbeard.
Edwin Quinones I love Best Buy. Don't even bother with GameStop. Their prices are garbage even with the "deals."
you can't really blame the employee, you blame gamestop as they don't normally always hire people that have game knowledge.
Okay that fucking joke is great!
GS wasn't horrible for me. Had some good and bad times, but it was a decent experience for me. Left on good terms.
+SonicHeadK240 that is why they are lower. Still looks really stupid.
I know alot of the employees personally. They usually give me the best condition when I get them used
the only thing i like doing at gamestop is buying a game at pawnshop for 3 dollars and sell it to gamestop for 10 assuming they are taking it in for 10
just go to a thrift shop they sell ps1 for 5$ and games for like 3$ for xbox 360
sigh gamestop walmart. mcdonalds. a the mainstream businesses are dying becuz they treat their customers like crap and employees
+Christian Harris completely agree with you there
Christian Harris and what do those places have in common? They're all evil corporations only out for money.

Don’t get me started on Walmart.... door greeters are not receipt checkers
I got Deus Ex Mankind Divided BRAND NEW at Best buy for $20 day one edition, Gamestop was still trying to sell it used for 25 -__-
Man I’m so glad I discovered you. You’re one of those TH-camrs that are so deserving of more subscribers.
+Brandom Glitch yeah we had associates like that when I was there
Got amazon prime get 20% off new games. The only reason i renewal gamestop if for the magazines 90% of all my games come frm amazon or ebay
Dang you have responded to every comment on this video. Well done (on the comments and video)
+Kaden Bohm I try to respond when the videos are new.
I would buy most of my games used at GameStop and it’s VERY different here in Canada.
Here full priced games are $80 not $60 . Buying a used game at GameStop costs $65 Used but if you have GameStops premium membership ($10 a year) the game will cost $60 used.
So Canadian GameStops charge $60 for Used games with their membership compared to $80
I like physical games :(
Surely solid state storage (like a buffed SD card) will be the new way to hold discs, you can play the game with the same load times as downloading it, and you're console/PC doesn't have to have nearly as large of a hard drive...
+*Harambe* yeah I'm sure when ssds come down in price. I have one in my laptop, and bygawd is it fast.
+Raheem keep in mind they price match Amazon, as long it's sold by and shipped from Amazon!
Where do you suggest i buy games like Crash Bandicoot and Kirby for like Xbox 360 or newer councils? I debated ebay, but I dont know if theres a secret magical place I don't know about for used remake classic games.
+Nicole Klebosis those games aren't on Xbox. Kirby isn't on Xbox. That's a Nintendo franchise. I'm going to assume that's a troll.
My friend wanted them for her Birthday and asked for those. I assumed she had seen them as remakes for updated systems. I don't actually play games myself and assumed she knew them better.
hahahha "Raw" lol
The problem is for EB Games(named like this in Canada) when I want to find a more rare or old game they are only in used(like tales of the abyss that I will never understand how it can end up there or Okamiden that just sadden me to see it wasted like this)What I noticed about used games is great quality games get sold a lot, when they should be kept
LMAO THAT INTRO
hey dude love your channel
+ApexGamer thanks man
ApexGamer are u talking to me or BPGR? :0
Gamestop's Australian cousin, EB games, is the polar opposite. I'm able to pick up dirt cheap games and there are always sales. Trading them in still sucks, but overall its a much better store.
I saw FIFA 16 at GameStop used for 29.99 and new for the same price at Walmart
So how does Best Buy's Gamers Club work exactly? Do I do it online or go to a Best Buy?
+JoshKeatonFan I recommend going to one. It's $30 for 2 years, 20% off all new games up to 3 copies of the same game.
Don't get me wrong bro, while I shop at GameStop I only trade when they have crazy deals.
Robert Stryker sorry kid
Most games I buy used are games that are out of print.
Or in the case of some Wii games, lack of space to just download them on the Wii U's eShop. That, and I'd likely prefer getting a physical copy.
u have a good channel informing people ty and keep it up
I mostly buy digital but usually wait for great prices during Flash sales, Games with Gold or the Holiday deals at Christmas time.
still better prices than walmart, stays $60 for years, oh look a 360 game $60
unfortunately those my only option where I live
gamestop or walmart. so I'll be sticking with gamestop
Try eBay, depop, mercari ect.
Any recommendations for a inexpensive gaming computer?
+Roven's Review & Race what's your price range? I assume you want a laptop.
Back Pocket Game Reviews 300-600. Is it possible to play Steam off of a laptop?
+Roven's Review & Race yeah steam Dosent have requirements only the games on it do. Your not gonna get high end at that price. But an AMD A12 would be your best bang for your buck at that price. A12 is a processor but will have a decent on board GPU
At this point I've just steered away from used games entirely unless I absolutely need to get something used. But I'm definitely jumping over to Best Buy and buying my stuff there from now on.
But will Best Buy refund a new purchased game that I opened same day that I didn't like and handed me 33$ cash back, and then I chose to buy Watch Dogs 2?
+OrangeCrush Gaming never returned a game. But that sounds like they gave you trade for it not a return. Best Buy sometimes has better trade prices.
Back Pocket Game Reviews no they handed me cash in hand the same way I paid it and I used the cash, plus a trade in to buy it.
+OrangeCrush Gaming hmmm well idk if Best Buy would do that. But GameStop isn't supposed to return new games that are open either.
You used my car argument! *yay*And then told us why it is a bad argument. *boo*
+Jen B lol but you see why I say it's not the best argument right?
Back Pocket Game Reviews
Yeah I get it.
Back Pocket Game Reviews
I am actually going home tomorrow night.
+Jen B weird I have a Kmart by me as well. See look at that memory, bet no other TH-camr can do that with their audience!
+THEGIANTCOWK yeah that is an option. But some stores will cut you off. It flags in the system
Which do you think is better (more value); amazon prime for games or Best Buy gamer club?
+Bryan Rothenstein if it's just for Games Best Buy. Amazon only gives you deals on new releases. It's also $100 a year, Beat Buy is $30 for 2 years. You can even still order online
Back Pocket Game Reviews thanks! I forgot that amazon is only for new games (first two weeks). Keep up the great work on your channel and happy holiday!
+Bryan Rothenstein you too buddy
I got assassin's Creed black flag pre owned and it is scratched up
Return It
Did it still work
I think the main thing I took away from this video that I didn't get in the last video I commented on was GameStop is easily outdone in every market price wise is gen 6 and 7 stuff.
I got 2k17 for 27 at Walmart
me too
Ryan Johnson i got it for free lol
i refuse walmart because they are about the same price as gamestop and bestbuy is cheaper
I live in a small town and unfortunately I don't have a bestbuy and the only alternative to my gamestop is a target or a Walmart and unfortunately target and Walmart don't have a large range of games like gamestop ....it's sucks
Shifty Aurora
amazon and he mentioned best buy delivers. id look into those options. if you prefer not waiting for shipping I understand and it leaves you in a shitty position
Well this vid wasn't in my subbox
+Abel yeah I have been hearing that a lot recently
what do you use to hang your things?
+Edgar Gomez poster mounting putty
+Edgar Gomez some are hung with thumb tacks
After the twitter post I knew you we're going to make this
+Derren Harris lol see following me on twitter gives foreshadowing if I'm doing research.
in my preferred world games can be majority digital however the minute that a IP is no longer available for download there product is no longer protected by privacy laws thus ensuring the availability of the game high. and to ensure these games are saved for pop culture history a limited physical release for slightly more money.
I work at GS and I couldn't agree with you more.
+XNamelessXNill yeah but eventually a lot of things will push developers to digital only
Back Pocket Game Reviews though I understand I'm not a fan. I like collectors editions. all those little nicnaks are cool.
+XNamelessXNill the Mass Effect Andromeda Collectors edition doesn't come with the game, it's $180. But I'm sure you'll see more of that. Or Halo 5 had one that came with a digital download code.
Back Pocket Game Reviews I'm talking more of like Arkham knight Revil 7 witcher 3 etc
+XNamelessXNill I like all of those. Except resident evil 7 seeing as I haven't played it yet
Used games being a ripoff really depend on how much of a discount you get for buying a used copy over a new copy.
BLOODY__FATALITY true, that’s the reason why I have the elite pro GameStop membership. I return the game within 6-7 days if I don’t like it
So does this ripoff also happen when the games are in the clearance bin for less than $10??
+Aly Pokallus depends on the game but a lot of the games in the $10 bin your not gonna find new anymore.
I buy used games because I have an Xbox 360 AND AM NOT UPGRADING BECAUSE FUCK CONSOLES AMD THEIR SHITTY ANTI CONSUMER PRACTICES...
And I only buy from Estarland and eBay.
I used to binge on pre-owned PS2 games at the tail end of its life cycle, sifting through the poorly organized bargain bins or even through the files disc envelopes, but I don't think the libraries of games weren't quite as large for Wii games or even Gamecube games when it was announced Gamestop would discontinue that console...it's nearly the same habit I had back in 2004-2005 for PS1 games but at least then I think Gamestop didn't merge with all the different chains like EB/Babbage's/Funcoland/Software etc...other than that, I'd only buy used from GS if I had a coupon which is becoming less and less often...
you have the same blanket as me lol
Endgame Magic and miracles.
Maybe it was reincarnated.......
My main concern is that these things don't just disappear when the companies go bust, steam apparently have a back up system but they are the exception not the rule. Games are not Red Pandas they have no reason just to inevitably go extinct no when they can be so easily duplicated.
gamestops trading system is cancer to the gaming industry
+charlie lozoya I would agree with that. I cringed so hard when they said they were getting into the retro market. I yelled no like Vader at the end of Revenge of the sith
Back Pocket Game Reviews RIP BATTLETOADS
It was better a few years ago. Nowadays, they give you $4 and put it on the shelf for $15. :/
What's your thoughts on Gamestop selling retro games?
+Tony Yee it shouldn't be a thing EVER they trash games
Notification squad!
AQIII I been waiting for this video
+JJOverlord for me to upload or just this video lol.
AQIII I can't say that yet
Back Pocket Game Reviews both lol I just wasn't expecting the new vid at 2:30AM
+ghost you can when your ready to buddy
So if games go all digital, will they at least keep selling the currency cards? because I refuse to put my cards on my console.
+Ronald Morin yeah even steam does those. But PayPal is also excepted on both now
Back Pocket Game Reviews Oh cool thanks for the reply. And a quick one too. Happy New Year.
+Ronald Morin you too man enjoy!
this channel just complains for no good reason it's a video game it's a few bucks I can enjoy it who cares
+Brogan Heller and you just lack the ability to comprehend what is being explained. Sorry bud, plenty of other channels you can watch. Clearly more like it then don't. Also no complaining, I'm explaining for those who want to be informed consumers.
I'm not hating I just don't understand the point it's just a video game and I've always gotten good deals
Sorry I don't want to fight I only buy uses games if they older games so 20
dollars and under like the old cods or halos
Best Buy isn't an option for me as it's a few towns over, not exactly worth making a trip to buy a cheap used game. You are right that they ship, and free if your order is over $35....but it excludes used games. So Gamestop it is.
Oh sweet. I'll go back to pirating my games. I'd like to cause as little damage to the gaming economy as possible.
I believe it was Captain Planet who said
" The power is yours!"
to which He-man exclaimed
I HAAVE THE POOWEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR
I attribute discs to that of books. A portion of people prefer to own the physical object itself rather than to download a digital copy.
Would your friends store possibly be north of Columbus
+Brendan Palmquist it's in delaware
Back Pocket Game Reviews I think I know it, could it be gameplay unlimited
+Brendan Palmquist lol could be......
I'm glad your channel is growing. Gamers need to know this stuff just so they can make informed decisions on their purchases. Most of the games I like to play are from the early 2000s so I don't make new purchases very often but watching your videos still help.
+Athenastarbrite yeah that's the biggest point. I know the downsides to GameStop it's up to the individual how they want to use the information
In Australia you could get a used 500gb PS4 for $428 or buy a 1tb PS4 with a game for $398
Thats expensive af for a used console. What a rip off hahaha
+Shinji D But it's in Australian dollarydoos.
tim williams
Yeah but read his post. The used price is higher than the new price. Thats why i said rip off
I do agree digital is starting to become the norm heavily while the Switch allows you to plug and play (Besides for like 2 minutes at most of updates) but with the ps4 and Xbox one I've just been doing digital since i'd rather just buy it digitally especially when i can get the games for practically dirt cheap with their sales instead of having to get up go outside for a 15-30 minute drive to my Local Game Stop wait in line then purchase the game another drive for the way back and sit there for hours waiting for it to download
I'm curious to why everyone keeps saying the ending of Dead Rising 4 is not included. I beat the game and I got an ending and the game is over what did I miss? I don't want to say what happens because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who may want to find out on their own but to me the ending seemed complete.
+Jeffery Daggs that's not the actual ending. You have to pay for the full ending. Straight out of Capcoms mouth
I once got a used copy of yoshi's island ds from GameStop, and guess what? It had issues where randomly it would go to a black screen with an unable to read cartridge error
+Thewolfpack23x they only plug em in and boot em.
Ah. I also once got a DSi from them that had a broken R button. I believe that they should actually check their products, especially since that DSi was refurbished.
+Thewolfpack23x some associates do. But it's impossible to check everything they send from the wharehouse.
If people are stupid enough to pay these prices then let them - it's not GameStop's fault. If people stopped buying them, they would drop prices.
What's your opinion on game fly ?
+Ghost 760 I know people who like it. I don't like waiting on games, I also like to own it. But if you don't have those same hang ups then yeah it's a good deal.
wow after hearing these prices. I really hate the Canadian dollar. here in Canada we pay 80$ for a new and anywhere between 20-65 dollars for used games. tho we have eb games here
+MethlyNinja94 EB is GameStop same company
Went to gamestop and saw two completely different prices (4.99 vs. 19.99) on two copies of the exact same used product (nba2k16)
Gamestop tried to sell me a used game w/o me knowing then tried to justify that used games are better when I caught them.
Where else can you buy games besides game stop, with good prices?
are u making a video for your giveaway or are you just emailing the winners
+DylanV414 I'm gonna announce on Twitter and email.
Is GameStop the same as Game in the UK?
+Toxic Feet no different company. I hear Game has some bad practices as well though.
+Back Pocket Game Reviews ok thanks for the fast reply and yes Game is useless and very overpriced. I only use CEX now.
+Back Pocket Game Reviews I only just come across this channel and you sir have just earned a new sub. Much love from the UK, keep up the great work.
+Toxic Feet welcome to the community man
i mostly only go to gamestop for skylander figures since those are pretty much the same price no matter where i go.
Actually you can still get physical copies of pc games. Mostly online but sometimes there's a small section in the store you can have on pc.
+Crazy Nerd small is a understatement.
I saw it at walmart and i was like whoa, havent seen these in awhile.
idk what it is, but something about the way you talk is very satisfying
+Devin Tetreault lol thanks?
I'm pretty Shure my local GameStop Dosent even check there discs to see if there scratched. I pop in my used game it won't work and I notice it's scratched and dirty.
Do you prefer new or used? I mostly go new now because I want to support the devs and I don't want a billion stickers on my case.
+DicloniusGames I can get new cheaper at Best Buy then what GS sells used for.
I dunno why, but I'll always prefer physical copies of games. There's something about owning a physical copy that just gives me the feeling of "Okay, there are my like it. But this one is mine".
+Theblastback I feel it
Buying used current gen games at gamestop is aids for real. But they do on occasion have the best prices for new releases and used 7th gen games that aren't produced physically anymore. Shopping around works wonders in life.
