Was on a trip just like this earlier this year, had a lot of sleep before my flight (not recommended) Was my first time time doing a flight longer than 3hrs, everyone around me were sleeping i got really hungry during the night. It got insanely cold during the night but somehow i managed to slip in an hour or two of sleep before i was suddenly awoken to the meal at 5:40, after what had seemed like an eternity i somehow gathered the strength to pick up the fruit salad with mango and i'm damned sure that thing saved my life lmao. The warm meals on the lufthansa flight weren't too bad actually, i'd heard bad things about plane food but after that night on the plane i was super happy just to stuff my face with fuel. I really had to go to the toilet too but i didn't want to wake anyone next to me. (i was seated in the middle of the plane) On my way back home i had a way better experience, sleeping through the cold night or atleast 5+ hrs really makes a differance. Also take any chance you have on getting snacks and drinks because there'll be a time where you'd wished you had it.

Thank you very much for this great review. Just wondering: you got an emergency exit in Premium Eco. If you would have got an emergency exit in eco: what would have been the difference? I saw real glasses and table cloth..nice. But wines and food would have been identical to eco, right? So would this product be worth the additional cost?

Actually, I had reserved the seat 27A, - this place is the best economy seat in the 747-8, because there has a lot of leg room and it's noticeably quieter than on seat 21A, - also the view from the seat 21 A is not best - you only sees the wing. The food and drink is the same as in Economy Class. An additional charge I would not pay for it. Currently there are relatively good deals in premium economy, - after all, there are at least 100 percent of the distance miles :)

Not a good review. Can you enter Senator lounge when you book PE? I dont think so. Also, where is detailed video of the seat which is the most important topic not minute long views of the wing!
Pretty sure you can't enter any lounge with PE no, as for the seat it comes with some pretty neat little slippers that were moderately comfortable, a pillow and a blanket. There's a power outlet at the bottom right of the seat in this guys case that'll fit any plug you bring with you, the tray is big and you can move it around a lot. Only wish there'd be an option to raise it up a little bit, i'm a tall guy so my legs had to be crossed in all sorts of angles when i had it out. Also on the right side of the seat is an arm you can pull up with your screen, the movie options are decent enough but all the other options on the tablet are pretty much useless. If you're seated behind someone the leg space is massive, you'd have pretty much all the space you'd ever need, also the screen is bigger. As for the arm rests all seats have 2 arm rests for themselves so you'll never have a breach of privacy. The food was pretty okay actually. There's probably something i missed, or something i didn't bother to include. The bottled water tasted weird. 100% would much rather get PE instead of E, the price difference is barely noticeable (atleast on my flight) and you'd thank me if you'd seen the Economy seats after a 10hr flight, i was surprised there were no casualties.

how can u fly seating close to engine. I have hard time seating close to engine and while coming back from Bangladesh " Dhaka - Dubai flight was right next engine and oh boy I had hard time to close my eyes.
+Yannick I have Star Alliance Gold status, so I have free access to any Star Gold Lounge. Without status it costs for Premium Economy passengers a fee of 25 € (Business lounge) and 50 € for Welcome Lounge (Frankfurt Airport)
let's have no more argument about this.. If you pay minimum price for an Economy seat, you will be uncomfortable if you're too tall or too heavy.. I don't want to see anymore stories about heavy people complaining about getting bumped off flights because they don't fit in the seats.. You know you'll need more room, and you should know you'll have to pay for it..

more space. sometimes the seat has a slightly better cushion. You also get more miles credited to your account. Really not a huge difference.
