I flew to Vietnam on EVA AIR premium economy. Great experience. The seats were like COPA's business class.

During November 2024 I flew Premium Economy on Qantas, SAS and Norwegian low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic. Despite being a low-cost carrier the best experience was with Norse Atlantic with SAS beating Qantas only because SAS included lounge access. Theoretically all three had the same seat width and pitch however the Norse Atlantic seat design resulted in more usable seat width and more legroom. The return premium fare on Norse, which includes a checked bag and two meals plus all beverages, from Bangkok to Oslo was AUD500 less than the Thai Airlines economy fare. The Qantas product was only marginally better, because of the wider seat, than their economy class yet was over twice the economy fare. SAS matched the seating room of Qantas but included lounge access but excluded free spirits on-board.
Any premium economy decked out in a 2-3-2 config automatically becomes an advantage for me
I have just returned from London with Singapore Airlines and a code share with Air NZ. Singapore Airlines was really quite mediocre and was cramped, had to play Twister to get from my window seat to the aisle. Air NZ from Singapore to Auckland was fabulous. there was no need for the passenger in the next seat to vacate when I wanted top use the bathroom. He commented that Air NZ was THE BEST airline offering the PE seat in the skies - and I have to agree.

United airline was included was a joke. Aged and need remodelling cabin, worst food choices and food quality. If you go to savation army for hot meal, you get better fed than on United's premium economy class. Not sure what they feed economy on long haul, probably pig feed😢.
Flew Virgin a couple of years ago and was excellent. BA A380 was also very good.

Please help me understand how you arrived at this list of Prem Econ Airlines. Is this an AI script fail? Maybe Pompous Travel should consider how real travellers assess and rate Premium Economy. Emirates, Japan Airlines, China Arlines, ANA, Singapore, Air NZ , Virgin Atlantic, and Cathay are all outstanding, and each comes with their own hero points such as dedicated dining experience, huge seat with great amenities, lounge access for a small number of the above.

Guys, I did not get the criteria based on which you picked this Top 10. Could you please specified it? In my opinion you completely missed Finnair Premium Economy on their A350 fleet and other Premium economy products on the market. 🤷🏼♂️ Hence your video is no benchmark for me. Sorry🤷🏼♂️

This is definitely an “opinion only” video. I’ve flown Premium Economy on many airlines and half of them aren’t on this life. I was first introduced to PE on Cathay Pacific from Chicago to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to LAX. It was amazing and should be on this list. I also agree with other comments about other airlines left off. Vietnam Airlines? Really? Hire many people on the US had ever flown on that airline? Not me and I’ve been to 34 countries and 48 states.
How about CX, EVA & Air New Zealand ?

Used to fly a lot on Lufthansa Premium Economy. No more. Crazy pricing, e.g. as much as Cathay on a flight to Japan in Premium. Seats are not exactly optimum, Supports g the feet rather than the lower leg Like on many other carriers, e.g. Singapore or Cathay…
Since on top they dramatically cut on their „loyalty“ programme (Miles & More), there is realy little reason to use them. Sad but true.

Flew BA, Virgin, CX premium economy - found Virgin and CX to be the best - must admit this was in the late 1990’s and early 2000
In my opinion Finnair‘s PE is as well quite nice….
I flew with multiple airlines, and Swiss premium economy is by far the worst experience and is not worth the price. The plan I flew in, had a layer of 2-4-2 already, not providing wide enough sits, reclining was very uncomfortable and not intuitive, the steward had to show multiple people how to do it. Food, you get the same as in economy. And one thing I'm disappointed with the majority of the European airlines is the lack of understanding of food restrictions. I ordered gluten free meal, and everything tasted like cardboard, then snacks are not classified by restriction if you are lactose, nuts or gluten forget about having snacks. I flew from Japan to Switzerland, and all my luggage was weighed as if I was traveling in easyjet.
Surprised United is on this list.

Singapore Airlines Premium Economy IS very nice. When I went to Nepal back in 2019 from California, I flew from SFO-SNG in their Premium Economy cabin on the A-380 and then flew their regional connecting Silk Air subsidiary (now fully absorbed into Singapore Airlines) flight in Business Class from Singapore to Kathmandu on Boeing 737's.
I was impressed by both flights. It was GOOD. 👍

I realize that ‘Top 10’ list are always open to conjecture, because everyone’s option varies considerably, and whilst I always enjoy Virgin Atlantic’s Premium Economy class - the staff are always, ALWAYS on top form - it is absolutely no way the No. 1 Premium Economy experience in the world. Singapore Airlines Premium Economy is just not worth the extra-premium cost compared to their standard economy. And Emirates is definitely in the top 2, but with that comes a hefty price tag.
Whoever put this list together (were there any humans involved in curating the list???), clearly didn’t fly any of the many premium economy seats and I suspect this questionable ‘Top Ten’ list was simply cobbled together with ChatGPT (or similar) scouring the internet for facts and figures - most notably because of the mix of Imperial and Metric seat measurements, that no one even bothered to convert so that everything was in either Metric OR Imperial.
I had planned to watch Pompous Travel’s video of the Top Ten Business Class Airlines in 2024, but after the last 11 minutes and 15 seconds of this video, I think I’ll save myself the bother 😅

Where is Air New Zealand? I habr to disagree with Economy Premium for Singapore Airlines. Both being Star Alliance flew from London to Auckland....SQ from Lon to Singapore....the NZ from Singapore to Auckland.
HUGE difference......the leg space was soo much more in Air NZ. SQ definately put to shame. Service and staff were both at par.

Bull! I flew Lufthansa premium economy. IT WAS THE WORST. My previous flight was from Auckland to L.A. and it was wonderful. The L A. to Germany was with Lufthansa and it was worse than economy with most airlines. 757. I just reserved my flight from Malaga to Auckland and my only demand was not Lufthansa.
I can't believe Air New Zealand and Qatar Airway didn't make the list but Lufthansa did. What rubbish.
