- In 1994 - 1995, Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy continued the Dark Empire comic series with 6 comic book issues. An Audiodrama was also released by Time Warner and Highbridge Audio. This definitive edition combines the two, along with adding John William's score among others, since the original audiodrama did not contain overlaying music. Enjoy!

There was a CD set released years back, which also includes Empire’s End. DE & DE2 got audiocassette releases but EE never did. It’s all a wonderful listen.
I bought all these on the newstand when they were released.
A better Star Wars than that wrought on us by the House of Mouse.

I love everything about this. I grew up at the end of the legends era and want to read every great story that I've missed out on.
Had these on cassette tape in the 90s when they came out and was a huge fan of the comic series. I love the fusion of the two. The added music is also a fun addition.
Luke's social/home life cant catch a break, FINALLY meets a Lady he can get together with, and 2 days later...dead
My mans Luke can never get a break in Legends or Canon lol

Ikr. It's the only voice out of the whole cast I don't like. Everyone else is spot on, but the New Zealand accent just sounds so perfect compared to what I can only describe as a dying computer.
As a fan from the early 80's, hearing his voice for Fett is weird for me, too 😆
The main thing I don't like about it here is the overdone modulation.
The Disney version would have been..." Six years after the Battle Of Endor, Luke Skywalker discovered that SOMEHOW Palpatine returned and he is ALL the Sith, that " THEY " fly now and that the weapon of a jedi deserves more respect.😒
I just read the short story Lightsider and despite it’s status as non-canon, it really fleshes out Kam’s character and makes his redemption feel more poignant. Please give it a read as it helps to iron the details left out of Dark Empire ll.
I hope someday someone gives Lightsider something neat like a fan made audio drama with illustrations. I would love to see the Lightsider game visualized. I tried to adapt it for my fan made KOTOR 3 Star Wars dnd campaign.

I remember back in 1992 when Dark Empire came out, it was a 6-issue bi-monthly series. reading these comics in my room, waking up early before school and reading Dark Empire are some fond memories in my life. Such great stories. I always had high hopes that we would get to see these stories in movie format. I honestly thought Disney was going to fulfill this destiny, but alas we got The Last Jedi 🤢🤢🤮 and what ever garbage Disney released. They had all these great stories and characters at their fingertips. Instead we get Rey......... 😐😑
ROSW was the first Star Wars movie I never saw, still haven't seen it. Never plan on it.
I've never seen Last Jedi and ROSW too.... honestly videos like this are better than anything we could've ever hoped for from Disney.

Yup, I had to make up my own leitmotifs for characters and planets. So Jem & Ossus got Reys theme because of how mysterious and joyful it sounds, and Sedress got a section of Kylos theme

Someone's actually using the audio and making an animated series of this storyline. He's only got two parts (well technically three but the third one will be broken into parts) I really hope that he finishes it, because this story is really good. I read it myself and I really don't understand the hate.

I like the comic pictures but I wish I could read the whole frame. I'm sad I missed out on all these audio dramas, comics, and games as a kid. Never knew about this stuff.
I never knew about the audiodramas until two years ago, and I only started collecting the comics last year, so we're both late to the ride.

Like, I could see him getting one or two scenes as a Force Ghost within the EU, but you can't overuse that. There's good reason the last time Obiwan could Force Ghost Commune with Luke was at the beginning of Heir to the Empire. The current generation has to stand on their own feet.

The sequels we should have got, i liked the story of Rey but that is the end and beginning but i wanted this first the middle and the story of luke at his prime of power etc.
Star Killer Base would have been a better super weapon than the galaxy gun maybe the star killer laser would have been build on Byss instead of that ice planet this would have made the second book better
