I'm making a door pan we have a 4142 inch long sliding glass door for our patio and it's kind of exposed to the weather. I thought it was really important that we make an extra pan to hold any excess water that might get through.
The size of your wall area and how much natural light you want to let in will help you determine the best size for your sliding glass door. Standard patio doors are 6 feet, 8 inches tall. Width size varies depending on whether the patio door is a two- or three-panel configuration.
Many people want to know what is the best sliding glass patio door? Fiberglass sliding patio doors are extremely strong and low maintenance. They are durable, energy efficient and can add a touch of elegance to any home.
Aluminum rolling sheet, plate, and foil are usually made by rolling thick aluminum between rolls that reduce the thickness and lengthen it, the way a baker rolls out pie crust. But rolling aluminum is a lot more complicated than rolling dough.

Actually think it could be done a lot better. But I think it's going to work just fine!

Doesn't the sill pan need to be slightly elevated in the back so there's an angle so the water drains away from the house? I see a lot of flat sill pans but it's important that they tilt forward. Hmm. Hard to tell here if you did this. But awesome demo of how to create the pan, thank you!

Is the sharp edge exposed at the top ever an issue after the door is installed and then the floor gets in?

I wound up folding over 1/2", hammering down, and then folding 1". Worked fantastic, thank you!

My house is on a concrete foundation, do I need a door pan on the doors?

We’re in the Houston area and our contractor didn’t use one, he did a lot of things wrong unfortunately.

@@nholt If the door sill goes right onto the concrete you should be fine. You just want to make sure it's sealed so water doesn't seep under your sill and into the interior.
