Thanks for this guide! Usefull guides for Splatoon are astoundingly rare to find and most other brush "guides" are all like "lmao look at how fast this guy is. And up close brush is soo deadly look at how i obliterated this guy that didn't see me coming", but getting detailed tips about the gameplan with this weapon is impossible to find. Well, until now at least :)
That's partially what got me to make this in the first place. Informative brush content is few and far between, especially from the perspective of competitive players like myself. Going forward that's something I'm hoping I can make steps to solve.
As a wannabe competitive player who has loved Inkbrush ever since it was put in Splatoon 2, something I've always felt was missing was a well made and easy to access guide for Inkbrush, to the point where I've wanted to make one myself. But I just watched this video and this is exactly what I think is needed. I can't really agree that vanilla and Nouveau are as good as each other -- maybe against comps that can't shoot through the Stamp, but that quirk just ruins its potential when the only other thing you have is Ink Mine, whereas Splat Bomb and Killer Wail solve so many problems for Inkbrush -- but your advice is honestly flawless. Perfect rundown of abilities, perfect description of Inkbrush's gameplan, and a really good list of weapons to pair with it. Hell, you even gave advice on how to make Inkbrush more accessible! I can't thank you enough for making this video, because this is exactly what I think future Inkbrush players need.
I played Splat3 when it released and fell in love with brush, I havent played since like season 3 and needed some help getting back into the mindset of brush, this video really helped so thank you. I really just wish it was easier to grind for the build you want on the outfits you want :(
Great guide! I'll be sure to share this with other people interested in inkbrush 🙏 Happy to see more inkbrush content and I hope to one day add on to what you've discussed! Ty for the tips and epic footage 🫶
tyty. When I was trying to learn brush back in the day, there was no content out there that could help me learn and it's fair to say that I was really bad at brush (so bad that a certain player would use me as an example of how NOT to play brush lol). Going forward, I'm hoping I can turn this channel into a one-stop-shop of how to brush so I can share what I've learnt over the years
15:20 Sub resistance up is also great at preventing you from getting marked for as long, it's also a nice niche use counter against mist as well, since brush is pretty susceptible to both of those subs, but it's not exactly necessary to run gear to deal with them.
11 splats in a turf war and FINALLY a win streak has me thinking about becoming an inkbrush main, and i couldn't wish for a better guide. Super underrated channel. Great job man.
i'm incredibly late to the party but this video is so useful. i love the inkbrush, it's such a fun weapon to use, but i'm not the greatest with it quite yet lol. i adore how much you've broken this down, thank you!!!
Think the first guide i've ever seen on this weapon, and watching your gameplay it's like, wow i've been playing this weapon completely differently LMAO realizing how I almost never roll whoops To be frank i'm more of an Salmon Runner and that being my field of focus but brush has always been one of my go-tos on a rare chance I feel like playing multiplayer lol ever since splatoon 2, so this has been pretty eye opening for me and has given me some cool insight on actual high player brush gameplay. Esp thinking abt it too with that recent buff it got it makes it feel like I don't whiff 3 shots out of no fault of my own lol
im about 100k p away from getting 5* on nouveau as well as having 5* on vanilla and theres some things in this video i didnt know about :3 ill be sure to use this new info to grind out permanent inkbrush (copium)
Hello again, just wanted to say this is an awesome video. Despite myself being a much more causal player, ong this is such a great guide and it gives me more insight as what to do as a brush player. Especially since I'm somewhat new to the weapon
I think i've fought horrorboros like twice in my entire life. I basically never touch salmon run since i'm not a big fan of the mode. 10/10 intro scream tho
I find it funny how you hate haglefish market when playing inkbrush, whereas I love using it there. also you can't imagine how happy I am to hear that it's normal for me to die so much using inkbrush 😅
This may be a bit of a disappointing answer but I don't have any special technique. I just press ZR as quickly as I can. When I started playing brush my button mashing was pretty slow and it took a lot of time for my button mashing speed to reach what it is now. Don't push yourself to button mash faster than what you're comfortable doing since nothing is slower than not being able to button mash at all due to an injury. If you are genuinely struggling to button mash tho, as discussed in the video, you can use the switch's in built button mappings feature to attempt to make things easier for you.
Was gonna do a matchup guide as well as a full map tier list where I go into a bit of detail on how to play said map on each mode. My channel has taken a bit of a turn since then and they'd be a lot of work to make so they're still in the back of my mind but may be a while before they actually happen

20:50 THAT ROLL WAS SO CLUTCH OMG
this tutorial was fantastic thank you.
This was a pretty in depth guide! I really like playing with inkbrush so I've been trying to do some research on how to play better.
tyty. I know how much of a pain inkbrush was for me to learn back in the day so I hope it helped

I find it funny how you hate haglefish market when playing inkbrush, whereas I love using it there.
also you can't imagine how happy I am to hear that it's normal for me to die so much using inkbrush 😅
Don't worry. Getting 15 deaths a game and still winning is not uncommon for brush
Do you finger mash?
And If you do, what techniques do you use?

I suck with the ink mine
What stuff did you have to cut ✂️
