I think they got rid of Bomb Sniffer because it didn't really do that much in the grand scheme of things. However, they added a buff to Bomb Sniffer that also made you take less damage from bombs which they kept going forward in Bomb Defense (which they upgraded to Bomb Defense DX and the modern Sub Defense).
I'm a new Splatoon player and I instantly fell in love with the range blaster! Accidental one shots and unexpected double kills from suction bombs are honestly such serotonin boosters 😌
I'm still terrified of Octobrushers BUT i also like using it when I'm close to someone You never wanna fight someone who plays a lot of rhythm games. My pointer finger is a god among men (I broke the right trigger on my old joycons because of this :(
Trying to feel out what I love to play > Brush - Inkbrush > Slosher - Deco > Blaster - Range > Splatling - Zink Mini (Zimi) > Brella - Splat Brella > Stringer - Tri-Stringer > Splatana - Wiper Thinking about playing a Roller, but I'm not vibing with any of the current ones. May try the Krak-On one instead later 👍
Big swig's pretty fun. The angle shooter out-ranges the scoped eliter. As in the scope is roughly 3 character models shy of even hitting the training bot when the angle shooter can hit the wall behind the bot. With the exception of two, most of the angle shooter's weapons are short-range so they have a long range option, a support that tags 40 damage from a safe distance and point them out temporarily.
I remember maining the Aerospray for a bit, then moving to the Custom Splattershot Jr. (I loved Echolocator) after everyone else became an Aerospray main, too, and I probably would've continued maining the Custom Splattershot Jr. if it weren't for the Slosher. The moment I laid eyes on the silly bucket, I knew that it was the weapon for me. I've been a Slosher main ever since, and I'm super happy that they gave me my Inkstrike back.
My two first mains were and still kind of are the standard Inkbrush and the Permanent Inkbrush. But dang, I completely forgot that rollers didn't have vertical swings in Splatoon 1! That's crazy!
My first main weapon in Splatoon 1 was also the splat roller because I didn't feel confident in my aiming abilities with a shooter After beating story mode though I warmed up to it and mained the .52 Gal after that
At one point, I couldn't decide between the hero shot replica, splattershot, tentatek splattershot, splat dualies, or sploosh o matic I also realized you can destroy torpedo before it explodes, just shoot it :)
I gotta say, I knew I was going to play SOME splatling after picking up a splatoon game for the first time, but I couldn't find one that I really liked, until I saw your Nautilus gameplay. I picked it up, and I have been playing it ever since. Thanks a million for the introduction
My first ever main was the Sploosh-o-matic. I used it 10 times more than the next weapon I used. In 3, though, I've gravitated more towards the Custom Splattershot Jr and the Tentatek Splattershot!
dude the best weapon in Splatoon 2 video is the first video I watched in this channel. I started to watch since then. I was actually felt something emotional when I see this title. I really like your talk style! Thank you Jaymoji for giving me so much fun!
I also started with the roller but I feel like most people do since it's such a unique weapon compared to guns/snipers in other shooters!! I've always loved splatlings though so the hydra was my main for like 3-4 years since Splatoon 2 (I never played Splatoon 1), but since Splatoon 3 I've started picking up the Tri-stringer and it's one of my mains now too!!
I've mained the Splattershot Jr since 2. I'll try and branch out every once in a while, but I always end up going back to the old reliable. In 1, I switched back and forth between one of the N-zaps (don't remember which one), and the Aerospray rg.
Clash (Neo) main and proud. Evolved to this weapon over time to get those pesky backlines in Splat 2 but still be able to frontline and go toe-to-toe with shooters. Used to be roller, splattershot, squelcher, and 52 gal main in Splat 1 and 2.
Imma be real with you @JayMoji I really love hearing your voice. It is very soothing and i could listen to you all day, i mean that from the bottom of my heart. Love you man. :)
I used to constantly swap between a fairly large pool of weapons in splatoon 2 but in 3 i picked up splatana stamper and it has genuinely been the most fun I have ever had playing splatoon.
Finally I'm NOT the only one that realized the potential Range Blaster has now that 2 SHOULD'VE done. Something about the power plus with Intensify makes it so much better alongside better aiming. Just..keep Clash Blasters away. I picked up Range Blaster and Splatana as of 3 and never put it down. Just hope they bring back Custom Range Blaster with it's Splat 1 kit with Kraken Royale we need that aggro kit asap!
4:20 I remember I was fairly young when I played splatoon 1 and genuinely thought that high level weapons had stat increases and remembered using a heavy splatlings because it was the most expensive thing I owned until splatoon 2 where I checked and found out there was no change (also an older person saw me playing and tried to tell me to use run speed up and I told them it dosent stack I was very confidant in the way I played and very dumb) (I also thought octoling ai was god teir pro players fear them intelligence
1:25 splatoon has always been a game highest of highs and the lowest of lows close games are few and far between just cause of how crazy comps can get. it's actually refreshing how the amount customization splatoon has prevents team comps from being make or break as much as other team shooters. usually losing or winning a game is based on being carried rather than actual team work, which is nice too detering the feeling of not winning cause the enemy team was just better. I feel splatoon perfects the team based aspects in shooters without as much toxicity cause of not needing to be team reliant and lack of expressive communication. splatoons niche mechanics is really what makes it a great game.
As a Splatana Wiper main, I completely resonate with what you said about Blaster. The satisfaction of getting kills is insane. I don't usually hit the squid-roll-into-charge-slash combo...but when I do... I also resonate with your sadness about weapon kits. Wiper has Torpedo which is absolutely beautiful, but it also has Ultra Stamp, which I don't love. I wish it had another aggressive special like Inkjet or Kraken and still had the Torpedo, but I doubt that'll ever happen.
It is always interesting seeing all the weapons people like/main. For me, I really like ballpoint, nautilus, splatana stamper, explosher, bloblobber, and especially, though very recently, bamboozler. Historically I hated chargers, now I actually know how to use them and how others use them. I used to play forge splattershot pro, splattershot jr, kensa mini splatling, and dark tetra dualies, and both goo tubers (though I was bad with them so idk how). I only remember playing the hero roller in splat 1 a lot, it was a lot of fun
I started using the Nautilus because of your Splatoon gameplays, it's such a fun weapon to use and getting splats with it is the most satisfying thing! However my actual main, the one with which I fell in love first sight is the Inkbrush, specifically the vanilla one in Splat3. I just love split-splatting around and turbo-blast people with the wail, it's so fun lmao. Other than the Inkbrush I also like to use the dualies, they're fun to get kills with and I just enjoy being able to dodge, confuse my opponents like a mosquito and BOOM, destroyed. I kinda hope we get the Octo Shot back in the game, that weapon was super fun in Splat2 and I bet in Splat1 too.
We already have octo shot back. Its just a reskin of the tentatek splattershot in every game and we have tentatek back so it's identical from a gameplay perspective
i used the splash o matic when i was trying to become S+ in 3 a few weeks before the season ended and i never used it before but after using it i started to love it and im looking forward to the neo in march
i agree with it being hard to stick to one class, at the start of splatoon 3 i used splat roller for everything but i wanted to see how the other classes play and now i'm good with shooters, rollers, inkbrush, and splatanas, as well as having an uncanny ability to play well with a bamboozler
In 1, I played the Jr. the most. That was thanks to the Test Fire giving us the 4 different weapons to try out. So when the full game came out, and we started with the Jr. I was ready to go. In 2, I used the Sploosh-o-matic. The one with Beacons and Tenta missiles. I ran it as more of a support style than an attack style. I would build up special, quick jump back to spawn, fire the missiles, then just jump back to my beacon to keep up the support. In 3, I am all in on the N-zap. I always used N-zaps as my second pick in 1 and 2, and when I was shown the kits of these new weapons, N-zap was still the same old friend I remembered. I loved it on 1 for the ectolactor, and in 2 for the Ink armor. Always a good support weapon pick. And now in 3, with its cooler, I love this weapon again.
i feel like with the weapon stars in splatoon 3 a lot of us will be incentivised to switch up our mains more often. i’ve got 5 stars on my beloved dualie squelchers, so for the last week or so i’ve been maining goo tuber, trying to get That to 5 stars too. it’s a fun system imo. and i want the lil badges on my tag to be more symmetrical heh also, boy am i glad splatoon 3 saved goo tuber with the kit change. i always liked the IDEA of using it back in splatoon 2 but the kits were not it. now it fricking rules. if anyone is used to making fun of & never touching the goo tuber because of the splatoon 2 days i would really recommend giving it a try! also very important to know is that it can 1 hit kill at 70% charge. now go have fun. it’s great for tower control ;)
I started splatoon 1 maining charger in the exact same way you described. Then the ink brush came out and i dedicated my games to maining thing that because someone has to. Also i adored how fast it moves and the idea of a sword weapon (still do). Kept maining inkbrus through splatoon 2. Now i main splatana wipers in 3. Its a lot of fun and i love its versatility. I only wish the fire rate was just a smidge faster.
Splatoon 3 has been my only Splatoon game so far but N-Zap, Aerospray MG, and Splattershot/Hero shot were my early game mains. Now I have the Aerospray RG and I haven't put it down since.
i definately remember being an eliter charger main in splatoon 1, in splatoon 2 i think i was more of a duel squelchers main, and now in splatoon 3 i'm still figuring out what to use, but so far the N-Gal 65 (i think is what it's called) has been doing me good
Truly a Naut main here. Love the shredding because its best to abuse the mid range shooter meta. Almost 5 Stars on it. Like 10k away from 5 star! And hilariously a 96 and rando Splatling as off picks. 96 is my baby but a straight up gamble in mid range skirmishes. Inaccuracy is off the charts wacky and lose trades so much. I'm already building a 96 gal Deco kit. HOPEFULLY the 96 gets a slight buff someway somehow.. Because it is so inconsistent in this movement meta. At s+10 above and high X.. Movement just just way too hard to track.. Its like you have to pray before you use it to bless squid jesus to let one pellet hit at range.
My personal favorite is the Hydra Splatling and Custom. I honestly was flabbergasted when they buffed it to have higher damage in Splat2 (also how I found out its main gimmick, lol) and in that same update buffed Ink Mines. Now in Splat3 giving the ultimate backline weapon -- that will definitely play with Tenacity and Super Charge Up -- the Booyah Bomb!? Someone in the dev team loves Hydra Splatling and I won't be surprised if they give it another buff it doesn't need cuz it's so overpowered
jaymoji actually got me into playing the splattershot for a year lmao and just toward the end of the splatoon 2 era he got me into playing the nautilus too
2:00 finally somebody else who thinks this way I've been thinking about this since Splatoon 1 and my friend who also plays Splatoon thinks I'm crazy for thinking it
i'm a squiffer/custom splattershot jr/ttek splattershot main now but in splatoon 2 i mained heavy splatling and splat charger, which is crazy to think about because i cannot imagine using a backliner now
i used to be absolutely incapable of aiming in splat2. always brushes or sloshers or rollers but as soon as i picked up the classic squiffer?? it was on like donky kong. from there i branched further and further out and now i main a whole bunch of weapons from every class! i shall never let go of bloblobber though. that godforsaken Ball Apparatus will be my beloved forever.
when i first started playing splat 2 for the first time i also started to watch u so i watched one of ur videos and saw u use the vanilla splattershot in splat 2 and started using it a lot, 4 years later its still my main weapon and my best one, along with the other splattershot kits (kensa, splat 3 ttek, the splattershot pros kits forge and kensa kits):D
I know this video is like a year old when I'm writing this comment, but I fell in love with the Nautilus back in splatoon 2 and when you made that Nautilus my beloved Video, I was so happy because it was the first time I saw someone publicly appreciate my absolute favorite weapon, Nautilus was also the reason why I started maining splatlings and I swear it was like that scene from Harry potter where he finds his own wand or something, that's what discovering that weapon wad like for me, like I played it for a while and I remember thinking: "HOLD ON I ACTUALLY DON'T SUCK ASS IN THIS GAME"
I haven't played much of Splatoon 1, since I got it so late in its lifespan (only got to experience the final Splatfest, there) but I think I remember maining NZAP '89 and MAYBE a roller, too. Why I mained '89, I have no idea. Splatoon 2, I mained Undeecover Sorella and '89, but much later, I've gotten more experimental, all thanks to Chuggaconroy. I managed to main Heavy Splatling Remix and C.Hydra because of him. In Splatoon 3, I came to this game with the same experimental mentality and even got to main weapons I wouldn't have imagined I'd main, like in 2. I've mained V.Splattershot (Hero Shot skin specifically), Undercover Brella, and C.Splattershot Jr., but I've also managed to main Dark Tetra and Bamboozler. I've also dabbled a decent amount on Splash, .52, Flingza, Hydra, E-Liter, and Splatana Wiper, but they're not mains. (At most, semis)
My main/Favorite weapon is the N-zap '89, idk why, I love the power up the rang and the bomb it gives you. I also enjoy the paintbrush, Tri-stringer, and literally all of them 😭
I switched from hero shot to range blaster just to try it because I used to hate using them, so I played some rounds with the luna and enjoyed it. So I picked up the range blaster from Sheldon and never put it down except when I want to use squiffer
splat roller was my first main too, in both splatoon 1 (i was a little baby child with no online account, usually played that offline mode against my family) and 2 (didnt reach rank 10 until a few days before splatoon 3 came out)
Flingza Roller, as a first time Splatoon player trying out new weapons, it's my main. Most would assume it's the Tena missiles or the spam before patch BUT WRONG!! (also I didn't even know I could spam it before the patch so- yeah) but it's so good splatting enemies while rolling and painting ink.
I've been using Nautilus since day 1! Back then it felt like a longer ranged mini before it's bullet speed got buffed. The reason for this was simply because I, a then-Heavy main, once said it would be cool if they added a Splatling with a charge hold and boom! 5 years later and I've never put it down. Not even for the Splattershot Nova, which I picked up for a similar reason. Go on, guess.
I've been a roller- main since I picked up the game, I tried being a sploosh main for a bit but then I unlocked the flingza roller... Can't wait for the krak-on to come out
I used to be a heavy custom 3k scope main in S1, never got along with splatoon 2, so i can't remember what i used the month that i played it. In splatoon 3, splat charger is genuinely so overpowered it's ridiculous. I can get solo wipeouts and go 17 and 0 in turf war in the right conditions (and assuming someone's internet isn't so bad that it takes 3-5 business days for a shot to register)
TTek Splattershot as of now I didn’t have Splatoon 1, but the weapon I mained a lot was the Hero Dualies in Splatoon 2 Makes you wonder if the devs will ever make a kit like that again
I played all 3 games growing up, but I never really played much until I got my own switch. My brother always hogged every console we had. My mains: Splat 2: Splat roller, krak-on roller, tried emperry dualies, failed at dualies, splattershot pro, back to krak-on roller/Aerospray MG(the silver Aerospray) Splat 3: Splat roller, krak-on roller, splat dualies, splattershot nova, annaki splattershot nova Current main: none (Nintendo online sucks and I can only do story mode and table turf battles(not with friends))
I can’t remember what I mained in Splatoon 1. I think I just stuck with the Splattershot Jr. I was about 8, so I didn’t really like the online mode and didn’t play it that much. In Splatoon 2 I started with the Splattershot, and I was still at that level of skill where I insisted that I was losing because other people were using better weapons. I would see the weapon people used and then buy them as soon as I could. I got the Bloblobbler, and then the Octobrush, which I really liked. After a while I got the Octo Expansion and got the Splooshomatic and that was my main for the rest of the game. In Splatoon 3 I got the Splattershot and that has been my main since the beginning.
Splatoon 3 is my first game, but I went Splat Roller -> Carbon Roller -> Inkbrush and I've mostly stuck with Inkbrush ever since. I love Carbon but I can't really get a good hang of Zipcaster enough to bother with it most of the time. Inkbrush covers a lot of ground so I can still stick with my niche and every time I go rushing into enemy base and causing a scene by covering turf and attacking people, it's usually distracted enough of the opposing team to where my other teammates can ink more ground elsewhere/make an approach thanks to all the ink I've been throwing around. It sounds silly (and sometimes it is) but I can't count the amount of matches that tactic has won me. 😂 To quote Failboat, I'm "a full time annoyance"!
Splatoon 3 is my first Splatoon game to play (I wanted to experiment and get out of my comfort zone) I use to mane roller, but I found my groove with the Sloshers, manly the Trislosher cuz I'm not good at aiming, and the Undercoverbrella cuz of the shield and just because it's so fun to play
I’m a splatana and NZap 89 user, never been a roller type nor a charger, the sloshers are fun but for ranked I like the nzap. They just feel like the Goldilocks armament to me decent range damage ink consumption. Also I’m now realizing a lot of my fellow splat players Al’s played splat 2 as their first game. Glad I’m not the only one.
Was never very good at blaster, but I did main it for a while. It's just fun. Pure clean fun. And people that main rollers are just built differently, that's all I gotta say on that.
honestly the only weapon i remember playing with in Splatoon 1 was the NZap-89 simply because of Inkstrike, in Splatoon 2 it first was Splat Roller and then aerospray followed by me using a bloblobber. Now with Splatoon 3 I started using splattershot pro and then bloblobber again together with the galaxy splattershot and now the tentatek.
Splatoon is a rare game where every weapon is valid That would be true if Nintendo knew how to make a half decent kit I’m sad I have to be nervous about the new l-3 kit being as bad as the current and if they mess it up for long enough I just have to switch
N-ZAP ‘89, Dapple dualies Nouveau, and Bloblobber are my favorites. Splat Dualies, forge splattershot pro, and dark tetra dualies are all close seconds
What’s your main???
Chair
Tentatek splatter shot
Luna Blaster Neo and Hydra
course
Custom Jr
i can’t imagine maining a roller without vertical flick . or honestly maining a roller in general roller mains intimidate me
In splatoon 1 (the game everyone hated after Splatoon 2 came out... since no one plays it) the rollers didn't have vertical flicks
I am glad to intimidate you
@@LennyQUMFIF the reason they commented this is because jay mentioned the lack of vertical flick...
Then be afraid of me
Back in my day, we didn't have no vertical flicks. Only the horizontal flicks, none of this vertical nonsense.
I've come to realize that N-ZAP '85 is basically Splash's nicer cousin that everybody likes. The two are roughly identical in terms of stats, but while Splash promotes aggressive playstyle with its kit, N-ZAP is all about supporting your squadmates. Splash bullies the enemy team with the crab tank, N-ZAP cracks open a cold one with the boys.
nzap doesnt crack open a cold one with the boys because it places the tacticooler 50 miles away from its nearest teammate
Nzap and splash rlly switched personalities between games
And the upcoming '89 has the new Super Chump, which looks to be more good support!
Are you saying sploosh is the mean cousin :(
As someone who mained the N-ZAP and now mains Splash, I absolutely agree lmao
Jay every time he hit something with the charger: OOOH WHAT A SHOT
Him when he hits a 360 OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM GOATED
HE SAID THAT AS I READ THIS LMFAO
That’s just anyone who doesn’t play charger
I’m so glad that someone else shares my young stupidity in thinking that every weapon that’s higher level is better in Splatoon 1 😂
Back when I was a Roller main in Splat2 I was so excited for when I unlocked the Dynamo Roller, thinking it would be the ultimate Roller weapon and strictly better than the regular Roller. Guess it’s a common mistake?

I thought the same. My proof was that the carbon roller unlocked after the splat roller (This was early sploon when rollers were op) since it was faster
when i first got splatoon someone crushed me with a roller and I thought it was the best weapon in the game
I'm a heavy splatling main, which plays slightly different from the nautilus; I tend to be the anchor of the team. Somehow I got the same feeling with the blaster, especially the range blaster. I always like the range in splat 2, but in splat 3 it hits different.
i became a naut main because of you! it’s honestly such a fun weapon, its so satisfying to get good at it! the splatoon 3 kit is my favorite so far, the raincloud lowkey combos with naut, and its good with point sensor because as a midrange backliner it scares your enemies into not rushing to mid as aggressively. i didnt like the splatoon 2 kits but i still dealt with them because the weapon was so fun to use 😭 thank you for introducing me to such an amazing weapon
nautilus47 is awesome. thx jay for inspiring us
Nautilus is my baby I can't wait for Nautilus 79

I love the undercover brella, it may not be the best, but it just looks so cool
@lobster6944 yeah, i bought it cuz i thought it looked cool and had an awesome name. Made me feel like a private detective using that weapon
I think they got rid of Bomb Sniffer because it didn't really do that much in the grand scheme of things. Krak-on roller pretty cracked.
You should try carbon deco it's cracked if you learn it
Big swig's pretty fun.
"Well it shoots a lot, that helps"
My entire contribution to every match in Splatoon
My two first mains were and still kind of are the standard Inkbrush and the Permanent Inkbrush. But dang, I completely forgot that rollers didn't have vertical swings in Splatoon 1! That's crazy!
JayMoji: *says he’s sorry for saying brushes don’t need aim.*
Actual brush mains: “no, no. He’s got a point”
My first main weapon in Splatoon 1 was also the splat roller because I didn't feel confident in my aiming abilities with a shooter
After beating story mode though I warmed up to it and mained the .52 Gal after that
At one point, I couldn't decide between the hero shot replica, splattershot, tentatek splattershot, splat dualies, or sploosh o matic
I also realized you can destroy torpedo before it explodes, just shoot it :)
i just love the noise a blaster makes when it gets a direct shot
As a hydra splatling main, I think I’m going to give the nautilus a shot 😎
I gotta say, I knew I was going to play SOME splatling after picking up a splatoon game for the first time, but I couldn't find one that I really liked, until I saw your Nautilus gameplay. I picked it up, and I have been playing it ever since. Thanks a million for the introduction
My first ever main was the Sploosh-o-matic. I used it 10 times more than the next weapon I used. In 3, though, I've gravitated more towards the Custom Splattershot Jr and the Tentatek Splattershot!
omg are we the same person? i went aerospray > sploosh o matic > custom spalltershot jr for my mains
Proud to main nautilus after watching you for so long, picked it up on a whim and never looked back
It's crazy how if u use any weapon for a while you'll become good with it. Every weapon really is viable in some way :D
as an inkbrush enjoyer, youre absolutely right about the aim thing.
Damn Jay, you lost your touch with the splattershot
dude the best weapon in Splatoon 2 video is the first video I watched in this channel. I started to watch since then.
I was actually felt something emotional when I see this title.
I really like your talk style!
Thank you Jaymoji for giving me so much fun!
Damm jay, you lost your touch with this weapon.
Him: what is the best weopon in splatoonn3
Me remembering the splatoon 2 video: HE IS GONNA SAY THE GOO TUBER
I also started with the roller but I feel like most people do since it's such a unique weapon compared to guns/snipers in other shooters!! I've always loved splatlings though so the hydra was my main for like 3-4 years since Splatoon 2 (I never played Splatoon 1), but since Splatoon 3 I've started picking up the Tri-stringer and it's one of my mains now too!!
I started using Nautilus and Tetra Dualies towards Splatoon 3’s release, and i’ve gotta say, they’re so fun to use.
@Jaymoji you can put the splatoon 1 lobby music in the juke box in the 3.0.0 update!
True Jay I am a charger main and I only shoot my shot when I feel like it’s gonna hit sometimes it hits sometimes it doesn’t
My main is basically any slosher type - but specifically the Sloshing Machine- or blobblober
I used to constantly swap between a fairly large pool of weapons in splatoon 2 but in 3 i picked up splatana stamper and it has genuinely been the most fun I have ever had playing splatoon.
have you gotten a chance to use the grizzco stamper? it was super fun to use during the last golden rotation
Me personally i love the nautilus new kit way more than the other ones, i wish theyll make another with a bomb in its kit tho, that would be cool imo
11:02 “hey all”
1:25 splatoon has always been a game highest of highs and the lowest of lows close games are few and far between just cause of how crazy comps can get. it's actually refreshing how the amount customization splatoon has prevents team comps from being make or break as much as other team shooters. usually losing or winning a game is based on being carried rather than actual team work, which is nice too detering the feeling of not winning cause the enemy team was just better.
Rollers in splat 1 may not have had a vertical flick, but they did have lag
On god
i used the splash o matic when i was trying to become S+ in 3 a few weeks before the season ended and i never used it before but after using it
i started to love it and im looking forward to the neo in march
When he said that he didn’t really have a favourite weapon, I was like TRUUUUEEEEE BRO i the SSSAAAAAMMMEE
E
J
For my at the moment I main the ballpoint splatling, the main thing I love about it is it’s ability to change how it’s fired
I main the E-Liter since late splatoon 2 times, but because of you I gave the nautilus a try and I love it so much. So fun to play it
i agree with it being hard to stick to one class, at the start of splatoon 3 i used splat roller for everything but i wanted to see how the other classes play and now i'm good with shooters, rollers, inkbrush, and splatanas, as well as having an uncanny ability to play well with a bamboozler
12:01 was waitin’ for this THE WHOLE VID NAUTILUS MANS REPRESENT!!!
And now in 3, with its cooler, I love this weapon again.
i tend to main multiple weapons but i’ve been a hard dualies stickler since i’ve gotten splatoon 2. they’re fun man!!
i feel like with the weapon stars in splatoon 3 a lot of us will be incentivised to switch up our mains more often. i’ve got 5 stars on my beloved dualie squelchers, so for the last week or so i’ve been maining goo tuber, trying to get That to 5 stars too. it’s a fun system imo. and i want the lil badges on my tag to be more symmetrical heh
also, boy am i glad splatoon 3 saved goo tuber with the kit change. i always liked the IDEA of using it back in splatoon 2 but the kits were not it. now it fricking rules. if anyone is used to making fun of & never touching the goo tuber because of the splatoon 2 days i would really recommend giving it a try! also very important to know is that it can 1 hit kill at 70% charge. now go have fun. it’s great for tower control ;)
Jay because of you I dropped the Splat dualies in favor of the Splattershot in Splatoon 2 and I haven't dropped it sense
16:46 "good aim and precision"
the clash blaster in question:
jaymoji actually got me into playing the splattershot for a year lmao
and just toward the end of the splatoon 2 era he got me into playing the nautilus too
2:00 finally somebody else who thinks this way I've been thinking about this since Splatoon 1 and my friend who also plays Splatoon thinks I'm crazy for thinking it
This is so cool, i hope that jay will remake some other videos form splatoon 2 like the worst weapon.
I’ve been trying so hard to get that “Otaku” title on my banner
11:50 you hit the grid with your bomb i'm not the only one who does that by accident
i'm a squiffer/custom splattershot jr/ttek splattershot main now but in splatoon 2 i mained heavy splatling and splat charger, which is crazy to think about because i cannot imagine using a backliner now
i used to be absolutely incapable of aiming in splat2. always brushes or sloshers or rollers but as soon as i picked up the classic squiffer?? it was on like donky kong. from there i branched further and further out and now i main a whole bunch of weapons from every class!
i shall never let go of bloblobber though. that godforsaken Ball Apparatus will be my beloved forever.
by the way, thanks for making me try out the nautilus. that silly thing is awesome and i stole it immediately
when i first started playing splat 2 for the first time i also started to watch u so i watched one of ur videos and saw u use the vanilla splattershot in splat 2 and started using it a lot, 4 years later its still my main weapon and my best one, along with the other splattershot kits (kensa, splat 3 ttek, the splattershot pros kits forge and kensa kits):D
I also enjoy the paintbrush, Tri-stringer, and literally all of them 😭
i picked up nautilus because of you and got my first ever solo wipeout and tysm its such a snazzy weapon
I switched from hero shot to range blaster just to try it because I used to hate using them, so I played some rounds with the luna and enjoyed it. So I picked up the range blaster from Sheldon and never put it down except when I want to use squiffer
i feel so special that i got to watch your transition from splattershot to naut main hehe
splat roller was my first main too, in both splatoon 1 (i was a little baby child with no online account, usually played that offline mode against my family) and 2 (didnt reach rank 10 until a few days before splatoon 3 came out)
As a brush main, it is true we do not require any aim.
2:00 its even funnier to see that squid hat when you actually own one that looks exactly like it
Flingza Roller, as a first time Splatoon player trying out new weapons, it's my main.
TTek Splattershot as of now
I didn’t have Splatoon 1, but the weapon I mained a lot was the Hero Dualies in Splatoon 2
Makes you wonder if the devs will ever make a kit like that again
I played all 3 games growing up, but I never really played much until I got my own switch. My brother always hogged every console we had.
My mains:
Splat 2: Splat roller, krak-on roller, tried emperry dualies, failed at dualies, splattershot pro, back to krak-on roller/Aerospray MG(the silver Aerospray)
Splat 3: Splat roller, krak-on roller, splat dualies, splattershot nova, annaki splattershot nova
Current main: none (Nintendo online sucks and I can only do story mode and table turf battles(not with friends))
6:38 no no, as an octobrush main you’re right that’s part of why I main it
I can’t remember what I mained in Splatoon 1.
Splatoon is a rare game where every weapon is valid
That would be true if Nintendo knew how to make a half decent kit I’m sad I have to be nervous about the new l-3 kit being as bad as the current and if they mess it up for long enough I just have to switch
I kinda want to main the bamboozler but I’m scared to try it out
N-ZAP ‘89, Dapple dualies Nouveau, and Bloblobber are my favorites. Splat Dualies, forge splattershot pro, and dark tetra dualies are all close seconds
