i feel like a fun challenge would be going for monochrome runs with chips that arent in the bias. like a mobility run with roller sounds like a ton of fun, or a damage build with splatling
Fun Fact: Parallel Canon is technically a "bot" of agent 4. If you have your splatoon 2 save still on your switch the hair style of parallel canon will match you inkling from splatoon 2
My best tip for *The Pinging Marciale* boss is to actually bump it to the bumpers. When he lands, not only does it create a shockwave and enemies, but it'll expose itself more. Keep making it bump to the bumpers while managing its enemies. The less time the boss does its attacks, the quicker you can finish the boss. If you have a pallet with Lucky Bombs, this strategy will get you a bunch of enemies which equals more Lucky Bombs, and more Lucky Bombs equals more ground covered. You'll need to be able to go around quickly incase the boss is ready to use its charge attacks. For *Parallel Canon* boss, take each of them on one at a time. Get some distance if you take too much damage, and get ALL the Armor that is in the middle of the stage. Treat them like Turf War enemies. If you learn what their Specials are, you can counteract them. And for the *Asynchronous Rondo* boss, destroy the layers with the glowing lights. These are where the game triggers the checkpoints for this boss. If you take all of the glowing layers out, the boss itself will be defeated. Any other layer it had will be destroyed in the process. Use the Ink Rails and Bounce Pads if you need the height. If you don't have a pallet with chips that improves Range, use a Special that is throwable like the Booyah Bomb, the Trizooka or the Triple Inkstrike.
Hey Vasko, I was reading a book of fables the other day and found a cool quote about Envy. "It is the fate of envy to attack even those characters which are superior to its malice." And you are DEFINITELY superior to its malice.
7:40 The bounder will stop the killer wail early if it hits a bumper. I did this by accident multiple times but I'm sure it's possible to do it consistently. I could test if bumpers cause it to stop any sort of attacks it's currently doing (enemy spam, bomb etc) besides the rolling attack which destroys bumpers temporarily when Bounder runs over one.
hopefully i dont sound rude, but you should definitely be careful consuming content of things you dont want spoilers on! not everyone thinks of those who havent completed the game theyre covering
Sometimes the Beluga Jellitons could actually be very useful when it comes to eight ball levels. With the proper calculating they could actually lead the ball to the goal for you!It might be slow but it could be very useful if done correctly, especially if you have to deal with more than one ball, just make sure you kill them though! Otherwise the plan would backfire terribly and the Jelliton would launch the ball to far. Be sure to splat them the moment they bring the ball close to the goal and let the magnetism do the rest of the work! It may be a slow process, but it’s very useful depending on the difficulty, just make sure only one is after the ball.
7:27 For this boss I usually get him to hit the bumper and try to juggle him in the air so I can get a lot of damage in at once. If you have a bunch of main firing speed it helps but it’s a lot easier with shot, Dualies, brush, and splatling!
jajajajaj this video was very entertaining!!! loved ur humor! i enjoyed this dlc a lot, the direction, art design, and rougelike aspect of it was really pleasing to me. i missed the variety of levels of octoexpansion but every play was different because of the chips so it balanced it out.
When i first got the 5% charge time i was completely blown away as to how powerful that is. Also, for the elusive bounder floor, you can cheese the boss with fast firing weapons by juggling the boss above your head and not letting them hit the floor. This is very viable, but only with weapons like the splatling or the splattershot.
a tip for the monochrome runs that don't focus on pearl drone: turn off all the pearl drone hacks, this lowers the amount of teal chips you can find, plus adds more to your risky rewards multiplier! i also like turning off the boss reveals, the 15F vending machine, and maybe a bit of damage reduction. also, max rush knockback is one of the most fun builds i have played so far so i really recommend going for it if you get at least one chip of it early on :D
For the Elusive Bounder, if you're not using Stringer or Charger, then just try to hit it into the bumpers as much as possible to keep it open. That and I would use the Stamp rush mode more, especially when it's bigger
For the Rolling thingiemajig- You can get it in an infinite loop locked in the center where it hits the bumpers and dies super fast. Killer Wail also pierces its defense.
13:45 the first time i got the soaker block zones stage was lights out with the dualies. needless to say my run died right there and i was mad about it, especially when i got the stage again normally later and breezed through it because i could finally see the gimmick
They should make a longer version of the tower that has 100 floors with enemies getting harder the farther along. Also there should be at least two new bosses. And it would be cool if they made the pallets bigger.
side order is pretty fun, it does get pretty easy half way through, but the bosses are super interesting, plus the music goes so hard, kinda sad agent 4 got basically turned into a easy boss instead of a possible secret boss battle(im so sad that didnt happen it would’ve been SO cool :( )
I once maxed out the running ink speed and rush knockback without increating my damage and it was just the funniest thing to just catapult everything over you like one of those gta ramp cars.
If you're doing runs like this, I feel like there's no reason not to turn off the drone upgrades. If you know you don't want them you might as well thin the pool by disabling them.
idk if it counts as a "cheese", but for the elusive bounder smth that i dont see a lot of people mention is that every time you run it into a bumper, it deals a solid 1000 damage to the boss. sometimes i just constantly run it into as many bumpers as possible and the damage adds up kinda quickly
“OMG, Agent 4 is evil now.” Not entirely wrong. I recall hearing somewhere that the game pulls the Parallel Canon appearances from your Splatoon 2 data if it detects said data on your system.
the ball shoots out 3 if it's the second boss of the run, and 1 if it's the first boss of the run. much like how you get more armor and fewer inklings if you face parallel Canon first
