Every yearly Govt had been updating the public on rise in Private and HDB properties to increase taxes accordingly. Those Blank and White ghost houses are excluded and that's why the 2 SNR MPs can take full advantage. The common citizens have no way of doing this even if they know how. What fair Rental value are they talking about?

Singaporeans expect the highest standard of conduct for cabinet and senior ministers.
    CODE OF CONDUCT FOR MINISTERS
    (3) Financial interests
3.1 A Minister must scrupulously avoid any actual or "apparent conflict of interest"
between his office and his private financial interests. Such a conflict, or a perception of
    conflict, can arise 
    (a) from the exercise of powers or influence in a way that benefits or may be seen to
    benefit private interests held; or
    (b) from using special knowledge acquired in the course of his activities as Minister
to bring benefit or avoid loss (or could arouse reasonable suspicion of this) in
relation to his private financial interests.
3.2 A Minister therefore must never enter into any transactions whereby his private
financial interest might, even conceivably, come into conflict with his public duty.

The ministerial statements did not conclusively determine KS and VB innocence. Instead, it had brought up more questions in the minds of the public and even surfaced incriminating evidence to their crimes. In KS's speech, he affirmed that CPIB only " look through" his phone and did not find any relevant information because he had his phone set to "delete messages". This might have shown KS's intent to obstruct justice by destroying key evidence to all his alleged crimes. I am urging PM Lee to reopen the criminal investigation into KS and VB citing the new revelation. CPIB must raid KS and VB to detain and use digital forensic technologies to retrieve all deleted files as soon as possible before all data are lost permanently. If the two ministers are found to have committed crimes, they must be trialed and punished with the full force of the law. If PM Lee refuses to reopen the criminal investigation, then the public must conclude that the PAP in no longer incorruptible. This will mean devastating consequences for the PAP in the upcoming general election.

It means the competent ministers are actually incompetent in their management of heritage homes under their custody. Exactly when u cliam ownership and yet u have not upgrade these homes built in 1920s ie number of toilets and bathrooms, new plumbing and new wiring new gas meters and check for Asbestos used for insulations and termites preventions periodically and reroofing to provide better insulations against the heat .

In articles of state owned media, the units displayed were published differently to illustrate how much rent was being paid by the size that was designated rentable. Did anyone notice this deliberate inconsistency? Why is the "extra area" that was "kindly" maintained by the tenant not classified under total rentable space per sq foot? Does he not enjoy this extra expanse of space for his own personal use and "safety"? Why is he allowed to not pay for this? Why isn't he paying rent for this space too, since he wanted it cleared up and paid for this maintenance? In the spirit of "serving the nation" as a public servant, how does one justify an austentatious lifestyle in literally ivory towers, paid from the largest ministerial salaries essentially from taxpayers money? Why did not one minister from any party question these and not probe further into the disparities and inconsistencies? Is everyone that party whipped?

    • @user-te8vx2lz4h
      @user-te8vx2lz4h ปีที่แล้ว

Please don't think all of us fools. The truth is glaring and even if you say they were cleared of wrongdoing, the people see you in your protected ivory towers and continue to suffer disparities, that's not the SPIRIT of public service. You even twist the whole meaning of "conflict of interest" to your favour, just remarkable debate skills. Even the committees you selectively set up for cases are from your own establishment, so what objectivity does anyone in anywhere have?

I had every confidence that the ministers were found to be above board. Senior ministers in Singapore earn between SGD 2.5 to 3 million a year. A rental property for say 25k a month is circa 10% of their gross income. Peanuts in terms of affordability. The ministers are paid what median Premier League football players earn. . except footballers have a career of 10+ years, Long-serving ministers can go on for up to 20 years, and even 30 years in some cases. Accumulated wealth in top government positions make the PAP echelons extremely wealthy. The claim is these are comparable to the private sector salaries, but nobody talks about shareholder votes, AGM re-ekections, and greater job uncertainty.
