    This is really well done. Lighting was incredibly good, and the size of every tool was mentioned, and the torque specs on the plugs too.

    Found this video after a local mechanic estimated it to be a 300 dollar job because it was gonna be 3 hours. I said, hold up, there has to be someone on TH-cam that has this process up. You did a great job with it. Im gonna have to do mine this weekend.

      I have the same chrysler town and country limited and the mechanic told me want to charged the same amount as yours. I don't get it for these mechanics

    • @panthers559
      @panthers559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@lanreoshisami8934 you don't get it because you're not taking into consideration, time , experience, tools and other factors such as removing the intake just to access the spark plugs when having a mechanic do the work , all those things add up , $300 is more than fair for this job , actually its a little cheaper from what i would charge , i usually charge $450 for this particular engine size but i also change the upper and lower intake gaskets and clean the throttle body and reprogram it when doing the spark plugs.

      Don’t get the wrong idea it’s going to take you 6 min to do it yourself. Mainly if you don’t have experience or the best tools to do it. 3 hours sounds about right.

    I graduated from an automotive school in 1970. There was a Dodge Dart slant 6 at the time. All plugs on one side. You could sit on the fender well with your feet inside the engine compartment. Relax and change the plugs. Things have changed. I considered changing plugs in my Town and Country but wondered where the wires were? Your video was outstanding. Everything made sense and easy to follow. Perfect 10!

But my labor was free and got it done in about 45min due to it snowing and freezing my coconuts off. 😆 🤣. Keep up the good work with these videos. Very helpful. As I student of TH-cam University, this helped me get my wife's van back in action after a mere 5 hours ( that's with minding my 2 boys - 3 and 4 running around my garage, taking a conference call, and running to the parts store to pick up the coil packs and plugs) and saved myself $500 by doing it myself.

    Every now and then I come across a TH-cam DIY video that is both well narrated and focused on the subject. Moreover, those videos keep me focused too. And also important, the narration gives me time to take notes. Your video is one of those few. Thanks for doing such a decent job. Now I fully understand what's required to replace my 2013's plugs. While I've got a pretty decent shop, I'm going to trade off my labor for my mechanic's labor. I've got two major projects going right now. Darn shame....... if this were my '49 DeSoto Custom, I'd be able to change the entire ignition system in minutes. :-) Thanks again, Al

    Thanks for this video‼️.Btw... is it a requirement to change the seals or just good practice❓️I noticed you didn't mention the seals/ manifold gasket. I was looking at this for my mom's car. I was trying to make a list of all the parts she needed. I also noticed sometimes they sell spark plug boots seperate, but when you purchase the coils they say come with coil on boots ( soark plug boots) as if they come as one unit. Would you mind clarifying❓️ This is confusing to me as my car is different. So far, Instead of the Denso, I went with the Autolite Double Platinum (APP5701) Spark plugs. I often see them in the list of recommendations for her 2014 Town & Country Touring. I had previously purchaed the NGK spark plug boots 58965 (not the coil). Now it seems we need the coils and boots, but when looking for the coils they seem to come as a UNIT. wouldn't that mean, in the future if we need to change the boots we would have to spend alot more , because the coils are a unit and dont come apart❓️We are trying to do this on a budget, while also getting parts brands that are prooven to work and last for more than one year. I hope you get a chance to respond. If not, I still appreciate you sharing your knowledge for free‼️ It's priceless to those of us getting by. God bless you 🙌

    DAMN!
    I had an 01 TC in the past and didn't have to take off a thing to do all the plugs. I see the engineers are at it again @ Chrysler!
