I love this. Shows a realistic first time buying property in the UK. So many videos on here are rich kids first home and they're mansions... this has made me feel a lot more normal and fully appreciate it!!
Hey mate, I think you and your partner have absolutely smashed this! Great inspiration for me and my wife from London, also a young couple looking to get our first place. To get this all done within the £10k-£12k bracket is such an accomplishment. Smashed it!
Love the transformation guys, feels like such a calming home you have created! We are 5 months into our fixer upper and we are finally seeing it all come together - need this inspo to continue to power through!
That is an AMAZING idea to create that downstairs toilet!! AWESOME JOB!!! I love the open plan look and the view out the back is so nice!! The way the sofa is positioned is perfect to look out into the back garden. Everything is absolutely lovely!!! WELL DONE! You should be so proud of yourselves for being able to do a whole house and in ONE YEAR!!! Amazing! I am so glad you took all the videos of the original home when you purchased it, such a transformation.
@@RileyCurryFitness It is truly an awesome job, considering you are both so young. You should consider house flipping!!! Having all that knowledge and good taste so early on is to be admired!!
Absolutely loved this! Was so helpful as Iv just brought a house which will need the same things going and it’s really cool to see how you did things! Thanks for posting even if I am 4 years late 😂
Loved this video! It's given me so much inspo. I'm in the process of buying a very similar house (with the 80s carpets and woodchip wallpaper) this has made me feel so inspired and hopeful! You've done an amazing job well done.
You've both done an incredible job! Levelled the house up so much! The timeline on the house here is somewhat similar getting the Keys in April but not moving in for a few months etc. It's definitely worth taking the time initially to do it all up first. Great job and for what it's worth, I reckon it was Beth's idea for the downstairs bathroom...
What a transformation myself and my fiancé have just moved into our first house, which we have started decorating! Thanks for the inspo, love the decor in your home and the colour scheme in the main bedroom 😍
You could easy put a garden bar in, instead of that shed, the space is there. So when we are at COVID 36 you can sit nip to a pub for a cheeky pint... Kind of.
Hey! Thanks so much!! I’ve just looked and they don’t do the exact one anymore! But it was B&Q vinyl click flooring! Really easy to fit and good quality too!
OK so I know I am late to the party..but that ..1st t hink I wanted to do was put a downstairs bathroom...sorry who's wanted to do that?? arguement was so real life :D loved it
Ahh amazing! So the renovations all in were around £10-12k that included knocking down the wall and putting a support beam in. Building the loo downstairs, lots of new electric and rewiring then general painting and decorating. Hope that’s helpful
Hiya bud, great progress so far! I'm looking at buying a house. Still saving up for my deposit but if you don't mind me asking. How much was the house, what was the deposit, mortgage length, payments ect? Trying to figure all this out on my own. 🤯
Hi man! Appreciate you watching! So obviously price of house will depend on location etc! But we are on a 5 year fix rate (which means we’ll pay same interest rate for the next 5 years) we payed a 10% deposit but you can pay 5% and out house was 262k. Hope this helps!
@@RileyCurryFitness It depends on your personal circumstances. Im a cautious investor and savings rates are basically zero so I preferred to over pay my mortgage rather than invest or save the extra money up. I’m gonna send you a link with a full guide and breakdown from Martin Lewis because it has tips and advice on what to do and what you need to avoid. www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/mortgages-vs-savings/ Also I’m gonna send you a link to a mortgage overpayment calculator from Halifax to show you how big the savings are (both in £ and time) when making regular overpayments. You just have to pop in your current mortgage balance, interest rate and term left and it will calculate it all for you. It’s amazing to see the difference overpayments make! www.halifax.co.uk/mortgages/mortgage-calculator/overpayment-calculator.html Paying monthly works better than large bulks due to paying less interest on the remaining balance for longer (and most fixed rate mortgages only allow you to pay up to 10% of the remaining balance each year as an overpayment). I am on track to be mortgage free in my mid thirties by overpaying £200 per month and knocking over 15 years off my mortgage. Good luck! Ps Your house looks lovely. Great work!
Im looking to install a downstairs bathroom so this might be a little intrusive so feel free not to answer lol but roughly how much did it cost you do put your downstairs bathroom in?x
Hey mate! No worries at all! Can’t totally remember but we ran the plumbing from the other Bathroom which was around £300-500 then then units itself were only about £200 al in! Deffo under 1k! Hope that helps

Thanks man! Appreciate the support! Not a topic we’ve discuss before haha! But everything is 50/50 were on a fixed mortgage so we’d have to pay to get out of that or we’d rent it out for the rest of the fixed time! Hope that’s helpful
My friend what ever is going on, but your lady is not feeling it. Or that is the impression she is giving off my man Wow!! With all of the faces she is making with her mouth and face along with those eyes rolls. When you look back at her over your shoulder is when the smiles come out, only then. But this woman is not looking happy. Just saying, hope I'm wrong. You know your lady sooo, any way the place is looking great. You guys have done really top shelf work that you can be proud of my man. Good luck to the two of you. Stay strong, stand proud my friend. Nothing but the best of good for you and yours. God Bless.

35 year mortgage. Corr try and make as much overpayments as you can comfortably afford. Even an extra £150 PM Will knock years off that.
Yeah! Totally agree! I wasn't sure what the best thing to do would be? Pay a big lump sum off every few years or just over pay each month?
