Excellent video, lots of good info and important details, thank you very much. I will definitely be trying this. The tough part is setting up direct on top of a decent pod of fish, in the lakes I fish up north in August, they tend to be scattered on large flats or steep drops. I'll have to find some shoals like you showed. What is the depth range you programmed (in green for those humps) ? Between 20ft and 30ft?
I like a 3/8 ounce but a 1/2 ounce is great as well. Stay away from lighter weights as you want the weight to be pinned to the bottom while you work the bait. Drop shots work great all year long!
Drop shot is really a deadly bait for walleye and its European cousin, the Zander (Sandre or pikeperch). I have been catching them with success on a float tube with senkos on a drop shot rig th-cam.com/video/prH1BOGZYZ8/w-d-xo.html. Great video
Seriously one of the best videos describing the where and how to do what you do!! Thank you so much!
Boat flipping walleye lol 😂 I luv it! Great vid bro
Thanks bud!
Tx. Good video. You give your rod so much more action than what I do. I'll have to give it a shot.
I just caught my biggest bass drop shotting, I've yet to get any walleye, can't wait to try some! Fish on!
One of my favourite bass techniques too!
Thanks for the detailed demo! Hope to try it here in the rocks of our Kansas lakes. You gotta new subscriber!
Looks so easy!

I change it quite often depending on time of year and where I’m finding fish but I believe I have it set between 20/30 in this video 👍🏼
Great video as always !!
Good stuff! Thanks for the explanation of where you are finding them! What type of line are you using and lb test?
I like 10 pound braid to 8 pound flourocarbon leader
been awhile since we seen you, happy wife happy life lol that was good fishing
I went a little off the grid for tournament season but I’m back!
Good video, thanks.
👍🎣 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching!
How heavy weight? Thanks for teaching. Much appreciated. Same drop shot work in fall fishing?

Very informative, thank you!
Great video, thanks for the details. One question though, isn’t targeting Walleye after 30 feet going to kill them if you bring them up barotrauma?
No, because of the way that walleyes are, they don’t do that.
I’ve been that way once…too easy up there..Question- are these fish hitting as you drop the line down
Why were your fish all belly up in your live well in such a short period of time? Thanks for the video
Came out of 30 feet of water - don’t do so hot in the ol’ well. Keeps them fresh for the fryer though
Dude forgot to pinch the barb!
Thank u
Was wondering where you get your weights?
