- I installed some clear side markers on my 718 Cayman S. I walked through the process, and this video would help those who are looking at how to replace these things on a 718. I don't do it perfectly, but I show the process so you guys can do it better than I can

Could not get my 2nd side marker in until I watched your video. The trick of getting the main rear side in first was what it took. Thanks!
These comments make my day! Glad to hear it, enjoy your car.
The tip you gave about “pulling back towards the wheel while pushing the light in” was perfect! That’s exactly what you need to do to install it. Thank you so much!
Amazing! Thanks for taking the time to comment, I’m glad my video helped you out. I love to hear people say I’ve helped them out. Makes me feel like making the video was worthwhile. Thanks!
Love seeing a young couple appreciate such a fine car. I've been hooked on Porsche all my life starting with my black 944 Turbo. I love the clear markers but definitely ordering from Suncoast as I'm a OEM kinda guy. Also ordering a short shifter.
I've always been hooked on Porsche too, their design is timeless. Let me know how that short shifter goes! Sounds like a worthwhile upgrade.
Thx bud just installed my smoked set
I also did this recently on my 718 cayman and they were pretty frustrating to pop out, saw some vids as well where people had them pop out easy... Mine also stick out a bit which I didn't know upon ordering but I think they still look better than the original ones. I also did the APR ecu tune which is by far the best upgrade for the money I've spent. I've considered upgrading the exhaust system and adding high performance air filter but after talking with some tuners and even APR, they said the performance enhancements would be probably minimal and is really for just changing the sound. However, I've also read some 718 owners say changing to a higher flow exhaust system changed the car from a night and day difference so I'm kinda torn now...lol. Is there any other performance upgrades you are planning to do to your cayman?
I agree my APR tune was the best money I’ve spent on the car. I did a K&N air filter and I can definitely hear the turbo more. I didn’t notice a difference in power though. I was on the stock tune at the time of changing the air filter. Maybe it could make a difference on a tuned car by adjusting better to it. My next plan is a Catless downpipe by soul. I’m doing it because I want the added sound and hopefully I hear the turbo even more. If I get any extra power from it I’ll be happy with it. If that still isn’t enough for sound I can start thinking exhaust systems.
@@allenstevens Cool, thinking a similar direction here if I continue to upgrade parts. Fabspeed makes a sport cat with downpipe that they claim increases power and turbo sound so if I go that direction I'll at least get a better sound and hopefully some performance also.
Yup. I’m in KY and regulations are light. That’s why I would just go for the straight up no cats. Also cheaper. Otherwise I’d go with sport cats.
@@allenstevens Yea here in WA state they have tighter regulations, even though it would probably be unlikely to get busted but probably the sport cat direction is best for me. I'll be curious to see your results though if you decide to do a video on the soul downpipe.
I’ll definitely update the channel when I do!
The black color really looks better with a pop of orange. This is one of those changes that Americans makes that they really don't need to (unless it clashes with the color).
Fair enough👍
