just to be pendantic... the model NAMES are boxster, cayman and 718 (718 Cayman and 718 Boxster) all the other numbers are generations, not models. you're using the generation number interchangeably as "model" which adds confusion. the 718 generation number is 982. Porsche decided to rename these cars 718 to pay homage to an older mid engine car but to come in line with the nomenclature of the 911. going forward, there are two models of sports cars, 718 and 911. both of these models have an additional modifier whether its a coupe, convertible (cayman or boxster) and its trim level (base, s, gts, gt4, spyder etc)

Here’s my take on 718 exhaust: - Soul exhaust is just ridiculously expensive for no reason. I’d rather go with fabspeed, same level of quality and same sound lol. It’s just 304 material, not inconel… - Fortunately for me I have access to cheaper labor exhaust from China that offers the same level of quality with Fabspeed for 1/4 the price. I went with a catless dp (with a dummy small cat inside so it wont throw a CEL), and a straight pipe catback system. All for just $650 with shipping. Yes h read that right. I have a video of it on my channel for anyone wondering. - As for tune, I went with racechip, gained +50hp and +80nm. Took me 30 minutes to install since mine is a Boxster and it’s a bit harder. My 1/4 time improved by 0.7s, and it ran consistently. 0-100km/h (62mph) improved by 0.5s, pretty much GTS 2.5L territory or even faster. - I also have H&R lowering springs. Works fine, rides a bit rougher but looks 10x better. As with alignment, not sure why you are so worried but it won’t affect handling, or in-fact it made the car feel more planted. Alignment in my country cost $35 lol so it might be x4 times more expensive.

Hi. I have a 2017 Cayman S with PDK and I’m in the middle of an oil change. I have lowered the level sensor and unscrewed the oil filter housing, but I can’t remove it from the car. It’s blocked by the axel. I tried a bunch of different ways. My car comes stock with the 20mm lower suspension option. Would that make a difference?
