1964 was a very good year. I remember this album. For an absolute belter, The Animals debut album. For a minor classic, Downliners Sect - The Sect.From the next year, Them - The Angry Young Them.
Really got me is the beginning of heavy metal in my opinion

Kind of. The Kinks definitely did inspire a lot of bands tho, and I'm not surprised if some metal bands were inspired by the Kinks.
