I was born in 1969, and I'm SO happy I was. 10 or 15 years earlier, I'd either be dead or sitting in a home with a sign on my lap that says 'Water twice a week'.
They know what they missed out on, but the beauty is the music will never go away and there are plenty out there whose parents (speaking from experience) who have introduced them to this classic music.
I was 15 in 1970, and I felt like the world was mine. Whole future in front of me. I’m 69 now and it’s all gone past so quickly. I don’t feel as though I’ve had enough of anything yet. Thanks for the music and bringing back some wonderful memories. ❤

I often wonder what made the 70’s music so great. If you were a teenager then, you never thought you’d see 30 because some idiot would push the button and boom it would be over. Vietnam, we lost brothers, sons, fathers. It was like constantly we were being reminded how precious and fragile life could be. We lived for the day, we didn’t think about a future job or career. We felt with a passion love, compassion, all those things. Was that it? Whatever it was, no generation since has come close to the music that ours was for touching the soul!
So many happy memories, but listening to some of these, I am pleased that I forgot some of these songs. Some great, but definitely, some not so. Great video.
De toda la infancia y pubertad , no hubo nada mejor que estos tiempos , de los sesenta y tantos hasta los setenta y pico , nada ha podido superarlo !!!!!

Janis Joplin was "fined $200 for using vulgar language?!" They could bring in billions with the profane language used in today's Rap "music!" The era of songs that touched our hearts and souls is long gone, which is a pity for younger generations.

LOVE this Playlist! Call me weird, but every time I hear the song 'Layla' (Eric Clapton) It always reminds me of that long montage in the movie 'Goodfellas' where they were finding the bodies all over the city!

I was a young teenager in the 70's... Some of the Artists on this video I never heard of, till I was older..lol..our realm/Genre was R&B, Disco, Soul, jazz, Motown, and most of all!!!! Any tune STUDIO 54 was deafly blaring out..lol.. just a different high platform wearing, Farrah Fawcett hair kinda crowd. I guess the past is different for everyone. It's all good!
Same here. While my older brothers were listening to Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Clapton, I was 6 years old and into Partridge Family, Brady Bunch and Jackson 5. Oh, to be that innocent again.
In simple terms , the flowering of musical development between the years of 1967 - 1976 can be reasonably described as the most comprehensive , productive , eclectic and important period in popular music , ever . For several reasons - It was the culmination of a century of musical evolution . Freedom of expression was positively encouraged and promoted . The performers were the artists . Unlike today - Where freedom isn't allowed or encouraged . Musical heritage is being slowly erased . Today the producers are the artists not the performers , who have become the ' labels ' . Rampant commercialism is the only vested interest .
I’m 65 tomorrow‼️grew up listening to all this memorable classic music…TIMELESS ♥️😎

The 60s were even better.
Tootsie toys a gravel driveway and a broom was the best of times.

Angelic, smooth, full voice, Karen Carpenter. What a wonderful creation, and such a painful loss. Poor Karen truly crumbled at the loss of playing her beloved drums and being pushed to the front.

Oh happy days .I was 17 that summer .SO NAUGHTY but so nice .I would love to revisit just for one day .
Uhhhh, correct me if I am wrong, (during Eric Clapton's Layla) but isn't that Phil Collins on the skins???

Same here. While my older brothers were listening to Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Clapton, I was 6 years old and into Partridge Family, Brady Bunch and Jackson 5. Oh, to be that innocent again.
I saw the Carpenters in EL Paso, and Las Cruces back in the seventies, and saw Chicago in Torreon, in 2008
Would love to have seen the carpenters, beautiful music

GOD gives us everything and can take all away...come awake!!!
In simple terms , the flowering of musical development between the years of 1967 - 1976 can be reasonably described as the most comprehensive , productive , eclectic and important period in popular music , ever .
For several reasons -
It was the culmination of a century of musical evolution .
Freedom of expression was positively encouraged and promoted .
The performers were the artists .
Unlike today -
Where freedom isn't allowed or encouraged .
Musical heritage is being slowly erased .
Today the producers are the artists not the performers , who have become the ' labels ' .
Rampant commercialism is the only vested interest .
