    Great video... I would just stay away from taped off edges when priming as it leaves hard edge even if the masking tape is rolled as soft edge.

    I will be attempting this, I purchased Evercoat Easy Sand FIB-421
    What do you think of it, and will this do.
    Can it be used over bare metal? Primed over?
    Specs say:
    Evercoat Easy Sand is a two-part flowable polyester finishing and blending putty that contains Hattonite for optimum sanding performance, and ZNX-7 for superior adhesion to galvanized metal, aluminum, and steel. This glazing putty is ideally suited for filling and skim coating body work, pinholes, grind marks, low spots, and other surface imperfections.

      Evercoat makes great products . It can be used over bare metal from the specs you sent. It should work great.

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Putty is for skim coating and dosen't fill deeper dents as well but sands easy and is smooth when applied. It's easy to work with

    How bout upol high built primer..4.1.what cheapest paint gun I can used....that will do the job

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will check out the upol high build . Cheapest is the $15 harbor freight gun. I haven't done a review because there's so many videos on it. If you can budget 100 you can get some that will last and perform relly well. Check out the asto evot13 ,astro euro pro or the Eastwood lt100. I have video reviews on the channel.

    Hi, What caulk does not run after it dries??? For the past few years every caulk that I use that's supposed to be so good on the outside of my windows on my van, runs, on the windows and down the sides of the van when it gets wet.. from rain or Misty fog like we just had.. and I caulked them 6 months ago..
    Is there such a caulk like that???

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't use the window caulk to much, I don't have a recommendation for you.

    @Garage Noise quick question, where do you get those cool lid/pour devices so you can control your pour out of those full size paint cans? 🤔🤔

    When you prime an area and sand . Do you want to create a valley in order for the primer and basecoat to level the surrounding area? Or do you just want to get the primer? I’m going to be trying a spot repair this week. I’m wondering if I should create a valley or just level the primer and hope that the base and clear won’t create a high area.
    I would appreciate your help. Thank you 🤘🏼

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Short answer, level the primer you don't want to create a valley. Appreciate the support hope this helps !

    If I listened correctly you had epoxy primed/sealed the car. And you now are coating it with filler. Without adding a tooth to the existing epoxy your adhesion of filler would really be iffy. I’ve always heard that epoxy after setting up over a day or two needs to be sanded before applying either primer or filler. Is that correct or incorrect. Thanks

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I applied filler over metal , no epoxy primer. Then applied 2 coats of urethane 2k primer.

    I would washprimer those bare metal spots before spraying 2k highbuild. 🤷‍♂️
