Always good to highlight sextant rolling as a money maker. Its probably the fastest mirror I've made other than back in harvest league where you could print "mirror tiers" for like 12-20exalts. I will say for those starting off with low budget, it definitely makes sense to compass basically every sextant because the ones that add packs are still often bought at around 3c per in bulk and if you don't have the capital to non-stop roll without waiting for sales, you have the time to do it and its just a bit of extra money
Fair warning for especially NEW players: (1) Don't do this strategy now. Many people usually rush to a strat AFTER content creator posts a video, makes the strat less profitable (aka "alLiE yOU rUiNeD mY sTraT"). What you should do is to remember this and do this next league in the first 2 weeks. (2) Don't do this strategy unless you comfortably hold some extra currency. I think 10D spare money (not 10D after you sell all your equipment) would make you safe. Otherwise, a bad rolling streak can be very stressful and ruin for your league especialy if you are new.
This warning doesn't really apply here; sextant rolling is a huge market and are consumable. There is like a person posting every few seconds on bulk compasses in TFT. Unless like kobe, Ziz and Grim all make a video tomorrow on it, I doubt this video will massively disrupt the sextant market. Someone makes a video on rolling sextants = free money every league. It's still free money. No offense, Allie! I'm not going to watch the whole video because I understand how it works, but if it wasn't mentioned, new players remember, you need a fairly decent initial investment into it to get enough to make bulk selling worth peoples while. Like 10d worth of sextants min to start. Some people might disagree with that number.
I think this is a worthwhile perspective but not entirely correct. Sextant rolling is way less about market arbitrage and more about doing unpleasant labor at scale. I do agree that having a financial cushion is advisable - off the cuff I'd recommend having 300+ sextants to start and spending no more than 1/2 of your currency on these.
If thats true, then you should never do this, because people make videos on sextant rolling every league. This is a well known strat by this point. The only reason most people don't do this is that it's incredibly boring. But it's always going to be profitable
Wrong. Sextant rolling has always been, still is, will always, be profitable. It is just boring. New players shouldn't even bother by op's comment. Even beast and essences farming is still profitable even though everyone is doing it at day 1 or 2 using Allie's strat. Know the game before you claim things.
After 1 week of casually doing this and buy a mb, all I want to say is u can actually make 3c/sextent u spam. But filter sextent can take a lot of space till u finally sell them. So if u want to grind for currency, ignore filter sextent if u find it hard to sell. Keeping like 3 full stash of filter sextent make it extra hard to spam since I constantly run out of space
You could but id probably not recommend it, there is a small chance you can get screwed over by rng and not make a profit. If you can start with 2-3 div you are good to go.
if you have 1 divine, convert that to chaos, and just run essences in scoured white maps. You will upgrade all essences to shrieking, but not to deafening. Make sure you corrupt any essence with a purple essence to get the big boy essence, or anything with 3+ essences. As long as you have your atlas tree set up for essences you will make bank, do that until you run out of chaos, sell the essences on tft, repeat until you have enough to do this. I did the above strat for like 2 days and had something like 12-13 divs and hadnt sold any of my deafenings or essences of horror. If you want to make a bit more money, also run harvest. You can spec into the blue essence on the tree and use that to reroll the corrupted essences into essences of horror, those sell for 10 per div atm ( last I checked at least)

This is a pretty good strategy, I use it after first week of every league when I have enough awakened sextants to comfortably roll 1000+ compasses. If you have a lot of a specific compass you can comfortably price them at 120%+ and sell. During Sanctum, mid-league, I was setting price to 150-160% and people were still buying.
i just tried this with about 100 sextants and since the enraged strongboxes are so inflated right now i made profits even if i sold nothing besides the 3 of them that i got. This shit's crazy
When do you think Sextant Cost outweighs the Profit since they are currently at 38-40 per div im not sure if i should wait a bit and keep going in a week or smth
The answer typically is always since compass prices will adjust but currently theres a pretty big price shock happening from a few people saying to do sextant rolling. Id prob give it 2-3 days and things should normalize to the new sextant price.
Nice video, It's nice to do on the side when you wanna chill with mapping. I just need 2 more voidstones for this though. I play Poison SRS so the build should be able to kill maven and elder, but I don't have the boss experience. That's the biggest challenge for me :D
Nice video for those who didn't know this yet, but for normal players who don't have 6h+ a day, block 3 mods and no matter what is rolled in the 4 slot ALWAYS pick them up. Play these on normal maps. 4-6 c just roll away is too expensive for all NORMAL players. The good ones that are not needed, you sell. I always do that when I have 100+ again. Roll all, safe all, hope there are a few good ones like enrage etc and sell them. Rest I take as a filler
Yeah they will keep coming through, you block chaos/phys and shrines because they remove the most weight and then any of the elemental ones because it's the next best one but it doesn't stop the other ones. It's just that the elemental you blocked specifically has a high weight itself.
I have spent 20 divines on this and I'm down 10 divines, after selling all of the 'break even' sextants and the 1 div+ sextants idk how much you need to invest into this before you start seeing profit but this is def just another gamble Do not be tricked into trying this thinking you're guaranteed profit if you invest more than 2 divines
I'm not sure how you lost so much and I cant really comment on it unless I'm sitting there looking at how you are rolling. This isint some sort of weird fringe strategy this is a major portion of the economy that always works. I think you just either got extremely unlucky which ive never seen/I dont think is possible and this is comming from someone who does 200-300 div worth of sextants a season, or you rolled over mid value sextants that shouldv'e been kept. The 1+ div sextants are a small portion of profits and are a nice to get, most of it is in the 20-30c sextants that come up very often.

I just invest 19 div and got back 29. Sound good but I put sextent in new tab every 5 div invest in and 2 of them are just total trash sextent. So 2-3 div for certain profit is kinda wrong.

one thing i am a bit curious about when you got a filler compass you said it basically paid itself back which makes sense but then you a bit later got a compass that could sell for about 20c and said thats profit...thing is if each click was about 5c but it took more than lets say 5 click its still a loss right ? cause then you spend 25c to get back about 20 i can see this getting big money if you get lucky with big ticket ones one after the other but i also feel like you can flush tons of divines down the drain if you get unlucky since each click reduces the profit of a good one
I refrenced to that click specifically being big profit, i shoudve been more clear. There is no luck involved with this strat and its on average 1/1.5-2c chaos profit per click you do on average. Ive done 300+ div worth of sextant rolling this league and do a solid 100+ of it basically every season. As long as you start with 2-3 div worth of sextants its basically impossible to lose money as long as you follow the list in the description.

Buying out the whole economy i guess. You can and i have people in my twithc chat who get their magebloods every season week 1 sextant rolling. You can do this all season and the only limit is how many sextants are on the market but its kinda hard to buy out the market. I was buying 40 div worth of sextants every hour this season and i didnt make a dent.
I know this video has been out for over 3 months now, but I gave this a shot with a 10-20d investment as I wasn't using my currency at the time. My first investment returned over double with a little bit of luck from some b2b yellow harvest compasses and since then, it's been steady away. I'd say by following the video, you could recieve about 1.8x your investment easily every time based on current economy prices.
considering it can sometimes take 50-60 whispers before someone answers on bulk poe trade...i dont think you need to worry about being near the bottom XD
Its just a size thing, the more you do the more you make, yes sometimes you can get unlucky. As long as you are keeping the low 4-5c sextants too you cannot lose money but if you dont keep many of them you can sometimes come out even.
You can but id recommend just buying a carry for elder and maven, they are less than a div for both combined. With only 2 stones you int your profits a lot by not removing bad rolls.
I don't want to be a negative doomer, but I've been doing this every league, and often it's barely break even, or negligeable profit. Sometimes you go through 50-100 sextants in a row without hitting anything whatsoever. That's quickly 200-400c lost, and then you need to make it up in the following clicks or more. 7-10 divines/hour doing this ? I'm laughing, but hey maybe I'm just a noob.
You have to sell any sextant above 3c in value to make profit. not just the big ones. But yes currently the profit is at best 4-6div (even that might be a stretch) But week 1 its up to 10div/hr

But ONE day...I'll study these witchcraft ways of flipping, and get myself a mageblood or headhunter, to FINALLY get to feel the power hidden within this game.. Surely I will......
You do not need a big brain for this my friend. You just make a list of the profitable sextant mods, and then just bag them whenever they show up. Even doing it inefficiently without bulk selling you will make 2div an hour with just sextants and a public stash tab :)

Hardest part is buying the sextants. I've been timed out so many times because people don't respond lol.
Used this to buy my first ever HH this league :) I personally recommend also keeping Magic pack size because they always sell like x50 at a time.

No its 1-2c profit per sextant you click on the watchstone on avrg. Prices will change season to season but its typically around there.

I must be unlucky i bought 5 divine worth of sextants and got back 3.9 divine in compasses :D probably need a bigger pool than just 5 divine though.

There is varience in this but as long as you are keeping the 4-5c rolls too you should always be profiting a decent amount.
