While waiting for your replacement die, one thing you can do in the meantime is treat rolls of 4-6 as the number on the opposite side of the die. This keeps the distribution of the numbers the same as intended. Therefore, if you roll a 4, the other side of the die would be a "3" so your result is 3. 5 would be 2, and 6 would be 1.
I'm about to get my hands on a copy. I probably will be requesting this replacement die unless it's been fixed.

Definitely the solution for the errant d6. We were oblivious to the error in this and the next training video coming out in about a week. But from here on out we’ll either use a replacement d3 or the method you describe. CATAN Studio replied immediately to my email and was both apologetic and helpful. They’ll replace the die as soon as they can. Good luck with yours. Finally, even with a full on d6 we had a blast with the first 3 missions. I hope it’s even better with the d3 as intended.
