    I think one of the fantastic things about Nishida is that he always gives it his all. Almost all his spikes are maximum power unless he gets a really weird set.

      @mohtadabahnasawy7637 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      yes he's soooooo passionate, most players would just not go as far if they think they're gonna score anyway but nishida is always pushing because of his ethic and that lets him be more advanced in special out of system situations because he's mentally always prepared to give it his all he's not afraid to push forward.

    Yuji nishida has been such a sensation since his debut, not with just how well he can hit but also his crazy good netplay for his height, I loved this video, a suggestion for the future is Aleksander Slikwa, he's unique being left handed as an outside but plays so well. Great video, it definitely helped me with my form for spiking on a Back court attack!

    He got injured before the match against poland in Semi finals vnl nations. As polish fan I can tell you how relieved I was cause literally him alone not being on the court increased our chances. I love Japan and I was rooting for them all the way and hoped we could meet in the finals not semi. But on a serious note, in the back of my mind I knew that if he played, the whole game could of looked very different. Poland had similar situation the next day in the finals with Kurek being injured (one of our top players despite his age) and Bieniek got injured in the 2nd set (he was on fire). Im glad PL pulled through on became champions. And congrats to Japan for making history and bringing home a medal. I have a feeling Japan will be atleast semi finalists again at the end of the year at world championships. And will only get better through the years. Really exciting time for volleyball right now!

    I wanna be Coach Donny when I grow up fr. Coach Donny, your content is really great and very educational and empowering. I haven't played volleyball seriously since high school in the late 90s. I was a 5'9" lefty, opposite hitter. I was co-captain my senior year and we were seeded no. 1 in the city playoffs and finished in 3rd place, disappointing but a respectable end to our season. All I ever dreamt about back then was to play volleyball for a living, but things happened and I didn't pursue my dream. I've doubted myself along the way, but watching these videos and on Elevate Yourself, I can't help but dream again, hoping I can still play competitively in rec leagues or amateur tourneys at age 41. I'm going to challenge myself and start playing again. Thank you sincerely for all that you do on these channels to inspire all the athletes at any stage in life.

    Yuji Nishida is a opposite hitter which gives him the advantage to hit in any direction and I have seen his lower body work outs like smith machine calf raises, single leg deadlift, single leg press, Barbell squats with heal raising, and some very useful rehabilitation schemes to avoid injuries which makes his legs physically very strong and gives a perfect body balance. he not only trains for strength but also for body balance. he warms up his body with resistance bands for hours to avoid knee injuries, every time he trains his lower body. I am a huge fan of Nishida

    Yall always forget one crucial thing, that mf has so much core strength. Most of the time core strength gets ignored while working jumps, but you can clearly see by way he makes his last step that tenses up his core right before he elevates from the ground up to generate more power, by this he sets up his body for massive swing every time, he is basically preloading his upper body from the core upwards. This is something nobody teaches for some reason, but it gives you so much strength and stability throughout your jump and swing. Thats also, basically, why all his moves look so powerful.

    Wish I could be that good. damn. I got into volleyball super late. (I'm 19, got into it 2 years ago). I never played rec Or for school( my high-school didn't have a boys team) so I've never had people to play with besides a friend who is no longer super into the sport. I was curious on any training tips and work out tips. And being honest I got my interest from Haikyuu!! Which is why I was drawn to the actual Japanese national team and why I'm not very familiar with leagues and players. Nishida is the only one I know by appearance and name.
    I'm also at a height disadvantage. I'm 5'9 (about 180cm I believe)

      Same man, I got into volleyball 2 years back too, I'll turn 19 in 2 months, I got the height disadvantage as well but my defense is quite strong. Wish my Asian parents cared about sports like they did for studies and allowed me to be more sporty. Also, at my home town we don't have any professional volleyball stadium or coach. Hence, I am still a naive 🙃 don't know if I'll ever achieve such great height as nishida!

    In volleyball 6ft 1inch kinda short ngl. U need really high vertical jumps in order to fill out the spaces.
