Starship Catan (the original version of this game) is my favorite of the Kosmos 2-player line of games. FWIW, I never had the problems you did with the game and will happily play this any time I have only a single opponent.

This republished game is an excellent two player game.
Not too complex, virtually no down time, feels ‚catanish‘ but not too much.
Looks nice, plays well and always has its moments.

Another great review. This game as a few elements that remind me of Interstellar (Ion Games' late 2023 game). This one looks very interesting.

Maybe a variant where you get all your resources from colonies on the 1st roll rather picking 1 would speed up the game without diminishing the amount you upgrade before it finishes, still playing to 10

LETSSSS GOOOOOOO WHAT A CRAZY EXPANSION, I thought the knight and roads expansion was good. But it suffers from the same problems as this game

Thats kinda funny I am getting my first Book publisted Just finished the OK to get it in producttion yesterday. Do you think by somehow getting rid of the down time it would shorten the game?
